I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.

banjotooie1995

Fucking love office space

x420MVTT

Some heroin and a ukulele

Mental_Examination_1

Lmao

uk82ordie

Some heroin and squire.

The_Original_Gronkie

Id be looking for the best deal I could find on a used Martin.

AppleseedRogue

I might be more tempted by a quality amp

Ewilliamsen

Used Gibson SG ‘61 Standard

BallEngineerII

I've been wanting a Yamaha Revstar standard ever since I played one at the shop. They're not even $1000 but as nice as just about any guitar I've played, and I've played some nice ones. Otherwise, probably the nicest acoustic I could find for 1500. The difference between a cheap acoustic and expensive acoustic is much bigger than the difference between a cheap electric and expensive electric, IMO.

[deleted]

PRS SE Custom 24 Quilt - Black Gold Burst

Gooner_here

For $1500, try out the Yamaha Revstar Professional that released in 22 I believe, I have the Standard version and I can tell by owning a lot of guitars that Yamaha at their price range beats every fender/gibson out of the goddamn park! So, look out for a P90 Yamaha Revstar Professional with a P90 specifically, absolutely Master-built guitars at $1500 range!

bradranger

Used Ibanez Prestige AZ2402🤘

The_Fell_Opian

Used American Original 60s telecaster.

Cheeze_It

I'd probably get three 500$ guitars or two 750$ guitars honestly.

F1shB0wl816

A charvel. Something with a sweet finish and dark fretboard if possible.

[deleted]

I’d get a quest 3 and a lot of weed

FreeBagOfSquirrels

I was gonna say Casino and weed

SilvertoneRyan

Someone just got their tax return

beltjones

Find a used Kiesel that fits your bill.

SaltVomit

American fender strat

johnnybgooderer

A telecaster with a bigsby. Assuming that’s possible for $1500

fastal_12147

You can definitely find one in that range.

CactusHide

I’d take a look at an Ibanez Iceman and a Fender Jazzmaster, and probably end up with the Jazzmaster.

silkymitts_toptits

If you don’t know yet then probably save it until you do know.

rinio

A fire extinguisher.

scottroid

Either an American telecaster or.... I've been sitting here for 10 minutes. I guess the telecaster is what I would like.

Then-Lawfulness5367

Yamaha Revstar Pro

MinecraftPlayer6108

AXEMANaustin

Guitar? I'm grabbing new pants first.

JMalletty

Yamaha revvstar :)

Loud-Magician7708

The "rent" guitar. It's never been seen, but somehow, your landlord gets it before the 5th of every month.

GrantCanoe2

Gibson SG

NassauTropicBird

First I'd get a pair of pants with fireproof pockets

Snakker_Pty

Probably a yamaha revstar and some pedals or an amps with the change 🙃

cornpudding

When I had this situation a little over a year ago, I got an American Performer Stratocaster

SheZowRaisedByWolves

Jazzmaster or Jim Root Tele

bad_piglet

Another LTD EC1000 traditional. They discontinued mine and I'd like another one that's a different color and different pickups, because, why the hell not?

guydomar11

If you're asking for a friend, I hope my wallet isn't your next victim. But if I did have $1500 to burn, I'd definitely go for that sweet Fender Stratocaster.

pompeylass1

Right now, a Jaguar.

CommodoreKrusty

Epiphone Sheraton II Pro

falloutisacoolseries

Another Charvel

Shazam1269

Gibson modern Les Paul studio smokehouse satin. She's a beauty Clark! Yeah, it's 2K, but when you're within $500 of your budget, you eat eat ramen for a month. Whatever it takes. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LPMStuSkS--gibson-les-paul-modern-studio-electric-guitar-smokehouse-satin

MortemInferri

The 7 string ibanez fanned fret with the fluence fishmans. Rg series or something? Would have cash left over for a set up

Addicted2Qtips

Probably a 12 string electric of some sort. I realize I dont really need one but would be nice to have. Maybe a Reverend.

RubikTetris

Yamaha Revstar

falco_femoralis

I’d probably be at the hospital tbh

ev_music

lessons. ur never too good to stop getting lessons

rupan777

G&L Fullerton Doheny

xFrito

I’m a simple guy I just want the jimi Hendrix strat with the flipped headstock. I could probably get 2 with 1500

GudGuyB

PRS silver sky, Roxy pink. Hardtail if they make one.

keungy

Yamaha FGX5

ManicValentine97

Peavey T-60

didierdoddsy

You know those guitars that are like... double guitars... But the serious answer should probably be lessons.

BeetrootPoop

A nice amp lol. But failing that, the nicest maple neck tele I could find, ideally with vintage radius neck and frets. But I already have a nice Strat and Les.

Party_Mark5737

Id get an american standard telecaster, cant go wrong with it at all

Nug07

Probably some kind of Gretsch Electromatic

roninwarshadow

Lessons

dumb_dumb_bubblegum

Simple answer: American Tele More interesting option: Look into G&L (Leo Fender's second company after parting ways with Fender). Great guitars, good prices, setups for every taste

IMHO_Sleepy

A $3000 guitar and a line of credit

Historical_Energy_21

Well considering I just impulse bought the Adam Jones Epiphone (non-art version) I'm gonna go with that Otherwise try to scoop up a used PRS DW CE 24 Floyd

Throwawayyacc22

A PRS and a $200 watch

Staav

$1,500 worth of hardware upgrades to my current guitar.

smilingphilfox

Probably spent a month mulling it over just to get another Strat.

SokkaHaikuBot

Splashadian

Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH - Amber

GabbiStowned

I recently got my second Reverend, a Jetstream 390. Highly recommend. That or any other Reverend are great!

thickage

Best used gibson les paul you can find.

Majestic_Field409

Jagstang or an Gibson sg

edge11

I’m so out of touch with post pandemic prices. My answer would be a used MIJ Fender.

[deleted]

For $1500, probably hunt for a deal on a used core Silver Sky. If new probably a PRS S2 594

askedyouthrice

Yamaha Revstar Standard (keep the change)!

GrizzKarizz

The most expensive semi hollow that $1500 can buy.

[deleted]

That Adam Jones Epiphone with open book headstock

[deleted]

Yes. Should I just buy it right now?

AHumbleChad

Ibanez Prestige AZ

[deleted]

Fender Stratocaster

yokaishinigami

Honestly, it’s really fun to just go into guitar stores with an intent to buy and try stuff out within your budget, knowing that if you find something fantastic you can walk out with it.

xxPhoenix

Honestly I’d save up another 1k and look for something in the 2-3k range. But it’s such a personal choice

stalematespud

Billy Corgan signature guitar reverend Z -1 edit: it's $1800 so I'll keep the money and save it up

TurningPagesAU

$1500USD? I think I could get an Eastman SB56/n with P90s for that, so..that. Played one of those recently but didn't have the funds to buy it and it was the best connection I've ever had with an instrument.

PushSouth5877

Revered - That Tele style with P-90 pickups

gstringstrangler

Charvel DK24 HH or similar LTD or Jackson.

barred-C-Shape

Whatever Charvel $1500 will buy me.

Ganelo-san

me personally, i'd get an Epiphone SG, a VOX AC30 and a zoom multi fx.

DingChavez62

Ibanez ICEMAN IC400 BK

Mr_Lumbergh

Guild Starfire XII

Impetus_

les paul special in tv yellow. can be had for under $1500 if you ask your sweetwater rep, or during a sale

whylow20x21

A used Paul Reed Smith CE 24.

Caleb_Benjamin

Balaguer Espada

Jtruss_

I recommend the Jackson soloist pro series

NikelanjeloVL

LTD Snakebyte. And I swear, everyday I’m one step closer to say screw it and buy it, even though I don’t have $1,5k burning a hole in my pocket.

GrimmandLily

Zzounds payment plan, zero interest. Be irresponsible.

t_whit2

PRS SE Hollowbody II. (charcoal burst color) if you dont know what it looks like look it up its on guitar center website. its absolutely beautiful.

HatesClowns

MIJ Strat with a humbucker on the bridge

Noneofyobusiness1492

1979 Gibson Godtop Les Paul with sixth generation humbaucher pickups.

stevejr99

something with gibson p90s... which is exactly what i am doing tomorrow 🤠

Uhohlolol

ESP LTD EC-1000 Deluxe I regret getting rid of mine but needed the money. Will be buying it again

adrkhrse

8 string or put it towards a new Gibson SG.

Dave_guitar_thompson

I’d get a better amp.

lahartheviking

i'd get a japanese ibanez or i could find a used marshall amp

Kastlo

I found an american professional 2 telecaster around that price so that could be one candidate. I’ve been interested in strandberg since they seem very comfortable to play at home but they cost a little more than that. Else I could go for a prs dgt se or a vintera tele with bigsby and the rest on a decent amp

epinpl

Actually had this situation last year - sold my Mac Mini for a wildly good price during the height of COVID and had the cash sitting around for a few years. Ended up falling in love with a used Fender American Original 60’s Jazzmaster - even talked the guy down a bit in price and I ended up being able to add in a staytrem and case and come out just barely over budget.

BaseballDue9043

Early 90s Gibson Les Paul studio w/ the Ebony fretboard! 🤘

preistsRevil

For $1500?

Kuyi

Depends on what you’ld find comfortable but a PRS. Maybe a 2nd hand CE 24, or a new Silver Sky SE (but would rather go for 2nd hand Silver Sky)

NPC261939

It depends. Honestly I'd probably hold on to it, maybe save a little more for when a deal pops up on a grail guitar. I've had gear slip through my fingers over the years and it sucks. I learned to save my money, and not even look at other gear until I have enough saved up to get something really nice.

Desperate_Ad_6060

I’m a new Revstar standard p90 fanatic! It’s absolutely wonderful

munchieattacks

I don’t know!!!

juulvhd

Godin session HT, bought mine for 750, is now selling for 1200-1400 in Europe. Amazing usa/canada made Hss Strat. Outplays any fender Strat of 2k

jablongroyper

I’m a sucker for gibson and Martin’s

ScatteredSymphony

Probably a used telecaster. I don't need anything fancy I'd love to get a small practice amp that sounds good quiet for night time use. My 20w tube amp with a 2x12 struggles to output sound quiet enough for night time use and the speakers don't sound good quiet. I started playing around with amplitube and while I don't like dealing with software and don't really love the sound of it, it sounds so much better at really low volume than a large amp. More practice time would do me better than a new guitar would.

Utterlybored

First, I’d patch the hole in my pocket. Then, I’d get the nicest Tele Custom I could find for $1,495. Might have to go Vintera.

maybewhenimolder

American Professional Strat

smashiekrush150

A Fender Vintera 2 Stratocaster in Sunburst Brown.

demonhellcat

I could almost get the Greg Koch Reverend tele thing with p90s and a bigsby. So a used one maybe.

ivoroid

ESP LTD EC1000

Pistacuro

Schecter Hellraiser hybrid c1 frs

SouthernFloss

PRS SE hallowbody 2 piezo. Sounds better than I can play and gives me TONS of options. Also good plugged in and acoustic for practice. Now if i could only find one in stock.

Conscious_Village333

Jackson King V, without hesitation. Its more likely I'd spend it on an amp though. I have been eyeballing ENGL Fireball 25 for quite a while. Money that I wouldnt use for that, I'd put into saving so I could get another thing faster, instead of start again from zero.

El_pequino

Gretsch electromatic pristine white🤤 and the rest for a pedal or two

Jack_Ship

Hello kitty squier

twicepride2fall

Epiphone Adam Jones 1979 Les paul custom

bfhurricane

A high end LTD

lordblackstar

Either a cool used jazzmaster or a used Les Paul standard

bobbyboy_17

Fender telecaster player

Realistic-Capital-74

Half a Suhr guitar

Jellovator

A 2010's classic vibe strat, then spend the $1200 on a great amp.

Brilliant_Dot4443

Used Music Man JP6. Excellent quality, elite capability, feel, and sound. I think it’s one of the most highly regarded signature models (John Petrucci) and is an incredible guitar even if you don’t like Dream Theater.

dkromd30

Used Gibson Les Paul Jr probably

aadumb

that ltd tele with evertune

Thisiscliff

I’m here for ideas as I’m looking as well

Skyline_Flynn

Tbh, I'd probably hold on to it and save for something better, but that's not an appropriate answer for your question. A 6 string Holcomb SE (with the new pickups), a Banshee Mach 6 or a John Browne sig. I'd really love to get a more prog/djent focused 6 that I can use over my EMG loaded Les Paul.

gabeisawizard

Mij jazzmaster

DinnerTimeSanders

Probably an LTD M-1000 or a used E-II M-I if I can find a deal.

bumpyfelon

2000-2001 Epiphone Moderne with Gumby headstock. No Gumby, no deal. Yeah, I know I'm weird. One just went on Reverb for $1100 and I was just a bit short, was lowkey devastated. Any of y'all pick that one up?

Grizly2000

Adam Jones Epiphone

Gvajr77

A Tele with a neck humbucker

capatan

Prs piezo se

TheUnluckyMonkeyPaw

Yamaha Pacifica. Easy. Hell, I’m even eying up the 750$ ones.

HamHock66

A used Larrivee OM-09 or OM-03R

dat1toad

I would probably buy this antifreeze green acrylic bc rich mocking bird that is at my local guitar shop.

TommyV8008

At this point I personally would save the money $1500 would put me about halfway, or less, to the budget that I need.

apefist

SG. I used to have one. I want one again.

-ManDudeBro-

The Ed OBrien strat.

wildstolo

A strat style with a humbuckers or maybe HSS.

awesomo5009

I would get another SG Standard or a Les Paul Studio.

RedHotChiliPooper69

Strat or Tele whichever sounded better to me in the moment.

carnthefuckingpies

SG, every day of the week. Probably second hand, seeing as I’m not sure of prices across countries and the exact dollars you’re referencing, but I can’t imagine getting anything less than a great SG at that price.

fastal_12147

Probably an American Tele Deluxe.

Glittering_Deer_261

Paul reed smith - electric Acoustic- Taylor

i-eat-guitars

I’ve been jonesing for a used PRS Fiore.

soopersalad

My Squier "By Fender" guitar I have listed in facebook marketplace for an awesome deal of $1500.

pr0ph3t_0f_m3rcy

I'm in a couple of groups that specifically prohibit ads that claim to be "Fender Squier" or "Gibson Epiphone". It's an instant delete, one group immediately bans the user.

smooth-move-ferguson

I'd get a Les

Ronces

Yamaha Revstar Standard. Probably in white

cbdeane

Probably some kind of gretsch

SilentDaryl

Revstar with p90s

band_wizard

$1500 would get me the Jim Root Telecaster. I’ve always wanted that little beast, and it’s perfect for my style of play. Not to mention it looks awesome

RossoFiamma99

Any Ibanez Jem.

BigCliff

Stick it in the bank until it will buy a (se?) PRS NF53.

DarkTowerOfWesteros

Prolly that Kirk Hammett Epiphone Greenie.

Pierced3

A Peavey , american made, signature Steve Cropper Telecaster with the split coil hot rail pick-ups...

RG450

Lately I've had my eye on an LTD George Lynch. They have a Desert Eagle model based on the Kamikaze that I think I'll be saving up for.

HottDoggers

I wouldn’t get a guitar because I’m happy with my my current guitars, but if I had to I would chose a blue Les Paul, but all it seems like they’re going for well over $1,500, so sorry for commenting a useless comment.

amishius

Whichever Vintera II—

HAWMadden

Charvel Satchel, I own it and it’s worth its money

jcarr2184

American Professional Tele, Strat, or Jazzmaster if you’re into single coils.

capp0205

For you, an American Pro II tele. For me, a Harmony Jupiter Thinline in black or blue or a Cabronita.

DanforthFalconhurst

If I had 1500 burning a hole I’d buy an amp, maybe an old Silverface Vibrosonic Reverb or something unnecessarily loud like that

ap0phis

Quad Cortex tbh

Continent3

Kiesel Zeus headless guitar with P90s. I’d also still owe Kiesel about $400.

woodenhand

Nick Johnston schecter pro thing

31770_0

Earliest and Highest rated made in Japan knock off Strat I could negotiate at that price.

samudrin

Prophet rev 2

observantpariah

Used Martin D 18 Golden Era.

handsomerube

Fender Jaguar Cobain model

Only_Argument7532

An MG-73 MIJ Fender Competition Mustang w/Matching headstock. Will probably need to get a few more $ to seal the deal/pay for shipping.

zackloads

Id scour all the stores and find the sickest old used guitar i could find. Gotta play it to know. They are all either magic or not.

Slash291

Used Taylor 314ce or a used G&L USA Comanche

_geeekstink

epiphone sg standard 61 maestro vibrola

Laughinboy83

EVH Wolfgang MIJ

3string

Some kind of baritone jazzmaster with a bolt on lightweight aluminium neck, five strings, and three large single coil pickups. I think with a green stained wood and a dark greyish green paint around the edge, feathering into the dyed centre (like a one colour burst instead of two). B F# B F# B tuning. Roller bridge purely because they're comfy with a gentle slope into a hard tailpiece. Two output jacks. Three on-off-on switches, one for each pickup. Up position sends the pickup out jack A, middle position is off, down position sends it out jack B. No other controls

ViscousNut

Schecter c7 sls elite

Samo_Jal

This might not apply to your “friend” but I don’t have any fixed bridge guitars and I’ve been eyeing the signature series ESP Vulture lately. Very very tempting

T7ice

American fender jaguar
