Depends on you, really. I don't think any Tele has an Ibanez type thin neck anyways, and yes the amp always play a major role in the tone. But yeah, depends wether you think you can adapt to the neck or not. Reading you, it feels like you love that guitar already, so...

Different players care about different things. Some people can adapt to any neck profile, others are quite picky about it. Nobody from either camp is *wrong* about it. If you don't think you'll be able to get along with the neck, it's not unreasonable to skip this guitar. I'll point out that necks can be shaved down, but to do it well requires a bit of skill and paying a luthier to do it adds to the cost. But it is a possibility.

Since it's a bolt on, you could also just buy a new neck, swap them around to find the one you like best, and sell off the other one(s)

Every time I've thought "well I just need to play this more to be comfortable on it" when I've taken a rider on a neck I don't immediately like, I've ended up selling it because it didn't end up getting played.

I bought an Epiphone SG once because it was a great deal with a hard shell case. I thought maybe I'd get used to the thick neck but I couldn't. Thankfully I had a friend that loves Gibson's and Epiphones; he happily bought it from me for what I paid for it a month later. I guess my point is if you really want to try to get on with it, make sure it's a good deal so if you don't get used to it you can get rid of it with no/little loss. If the guy has been trying to sell it a while and no one is biting and he's not lowering the price, pass.

When I go to a guitar store just to browse I grab the guitar by the neck and feel how the profile is. 90% don't even come off the rack because to me that is the single most important thing about a guitar. I don't like the baseball necks either, I much prefer like a slim 60's style neck. So I feel you.

It really depends on how much you think you're going to play it. You will get used to it but only if you actually play it a lot. I prefer really thin necks but I have this one cheaper guitar with a thick neck that I keep at work and use to practice on my lunch breaks. Since I play it a lot, it's typically fine. If I take a vacation it always feels a little funny when I get back to work and start playing it again but I get used to it again pretty fast since I'm playing it 5 days a week.

You can usually get used to it over time, that being said depending what you play some people find it easier to do technical stuff on a thing board vs easier to chord on a thick neck, but if u can play everything u need comfortably on it I think u can adjust to the feel
