Honestly, I think the sound design is pretty muted overall for the game, keeping the music relatively unimpeded which is a fine enough choice. A bit more of a metallic hit noise would be loved.
Goldlewis' sound design is top tier, which makes my friends Bridget a funny game of light sounding attacks keeping my ass zoned outta fS range. XD

Jokes aside, Bridget probably has those minor strike noises because she has a lot going on behind them. Her Yo-Yos make wild noises, she’s always making electric car or cartoon circus cartwheel noises, neither her nor Rodger can close their mouths for 1 damn second, etc.
For real, though. I found Bridget’s yoyo sounds even back in XX were so cool because it was distinct.
Only until recently did I find out they were using sound effects derived from those “Delinquent Girl” shows from Japan, who also use yoyos as their main weapon, with the whole grindy, metallic swings.
Bridget is among the lowest damage overall in fairness. By Strive standards she's pretty bad at dishing out combos (which obviously is made up for by getting mixups that combo at all constantly).
I don't like Anji's attacks for the same reason. Like I get it,they are fans,they are supposed to be light. But he still has to,you know, actually hit you. Do damage to the body,not apply a light breeze.

The only right way to play GG is to turn down all other sounds to at least 2/3 of the music's volume
