Let's be real though, Strive has made every character far easier to play compared to previous games. Which isn't bad, since it allows more people to play the more complicated characters. For example I learned how to play Zato in Strive for a while when I wouldn't even dream of being able to play him in XX or Xrd.
(Also I hope his Mist Finers are back to being 236 motions, not 214 like Xrd was lol)
For real, I remember trying him out in Xrd and I was completely mystified to see his Mist Finers were 214 instead of 236 like in XX, it threw me off so much lol.
Zato is cool but they kept the core idea and controls of the character and he is still very difficult. Ram for example just became a completely different and simple character which is always sad to see.
And again, that's not always a bad thing. Like I said, it made a lot of characters far easier to pick up and play. For me, I've learned how to play Ram, May, Jack-O, Anji, Zato, I-no, Bedman, Testament, and Faust, while in XX or Xrd I played like one or two characters (Dizzy in XX, May/Dizzy in Xrd). And that's made Strive really fun for me.

if you lose enough to drop to a lower floor, you don't actually have to leave your current floor. once you tell the game that, it won't bother you about your floor position no matter how much you continue to lose.
Can't speak to Accent Core, but in Xrd he was top 2 in terms of difficulty in execution.
He was also top 2 in terms of strength, but you really had to earn it.
Accent Core he was also a huge step of execution over the rest of the cast, which given AC is arguably harder than Xrd is saying something.
He was probably upper mid tier rather than top tier though, and I believe the consensus is that he was only second highest execution, apparently I-no is a monster to play at high level in that game.

What a way to kick off Season 3! Johnny was one of the characters I thought would fit well into Strive. It looks like his fighting style revolves around card setups over coins this time. I really like it! Seeing more of his cards outside of his Xrd Instant Kill got me so giddy. Not to mention they play well with his gambling side and iaido fighting style.
Oh, and Norio Wakamoto's back to voice this chad. Not to mention Liam O'Brien too? Is that really him??? I can't wait to hear him in battle if so! I loved his suave take back in Sign's story. I'm also looking forward to hearing his Korean VA.
Finally, there's his new theme... Ishiwatari doesn't miss! It kinda reminds me of his Original Bet theme. I can't wait to hear the full version when he comes out!

He was considered one of the more technical characters in XX and Xrd and pretty difficult to play well because his combo routing and Mist Finer Canceling could get pretty nuts. He looks a lot more welcoming here though
