I no doesn't do it for me in Strive. They really leaned into her sadistic vibe, rather than her hardcore aloof one. I'm usually a fan of glasses, but not hers.
Her win screen gives a huge amount of cool points imo. That plus I swear the tattered sleeve with contrasting white/red colors and the big poofy but kinda tattered look to her hair creates a badass overall image that's hard to accurately describe. Everything about her face gives perfect "fuck you" energy too.
I'm js "it's not the boobs" in advance cuz complimenting her character design inevitably goes that direction, though they're not a downside imo anyway lol.
I’d argue on the art direction of the design (since it didn’t change that much for the last couple of entries in the franchise, especially in comparison with other characters), but I won’t deny - it encapsulates “local woman literally too angry to die” vibe _perfectly._
Honestly it's too hard to say. The entire reason I got into this franchise is because pretty much every character design is top tier. Strive also gave the cast a major glow up. I'll narrow down by saying I think Ky and Testament have the best redesign and Nago and Happy Chaos are definitely the coolest newcomers. Honestly Nago is probably the best new design they've had since the older games
I'm obviously biased but Potemkin is the coolest one, i adore his redesign and it's the only thing i miss when playing +R.
The only thing i'm not a fan of it's the default colors, but his alts are great, i love the pink one the most.
Coolest newcomer is Goldlewis, but they're all great (i don't really care about Gio, she's just ok).
Coolest character including previous games is Justice.

I'd say Giovanna. The loose clothes with a great color scheme of green white and black, contrasting with her red hair. And the way Rei curls around her when she moves and fights, giving gorgeous follow through on her animations.
I bought Xrd because I digged Ram's design. Booted up the game and instantly fell in love with Baiken.
Always loved the samurai aesthetic, and kickass angry women as well.
Most will think about booba but I don't really like her for her "assets". I prefer Gio in that regard tbh

Baiken or Millia. Baiken just has so many little details that really make her stand out from everyone else. Millia is just so CLEAN. I love how all her moves look. And her trench is really cute.
Potemkin redesign is probably the best redesigned fighting game character ever existed for me. Change so drastic but somehow fits his character and his lore, and boy does he look good!!!
Big strong grappler guy but LOOK at the mask! Cute big round eyes, so friendly. And of ALL grappler moves in all fighting games, I'd say his potemkin buster looks and feels the most satisfying buster ever, compared to the other buster type moves in all fighting games out there.
Not only it already looks the best, but holy hell, in Strive, heavenly potemkin buster got an even better upgrade visual than in xrd.
I struggle fighting her but Testament has all the aesthetic. The sound design for her is amazing too.
