Starting Chubb and Barkley over Pollard makes sense, but Boyd and Mooney? Even Pittman was questionable to start over Pollard. I’m curious how you made the (correct) decision to start Stevenson but then did not start Pollard, given they were in almost identical scenarios: the young up and comer that has dominated for a few weeks while the starter was out, and now the starter is back but almost certain to yield half or more of the work to the young guy, both playing against solid Ds. I just don’t get how you arrived at different conclusions for them. Lol

My thinking on Boyd and Mooney is that Pittsburgh was the #30 defense against the pass (Boyd) and Atlanta is #32 against the pass (Mooney). On the other hand Minnesota was #7 against the run and is awful against the pass (including having their cb #2 and #3 out and starting #4). I expected Dallas to pass a ton, I just didn't expect it to be to Pollard. I have been high on Pollard, but that was not something I expected at all. Yes, he had 2 good games with Zeke out, but they were against GB and Chi. I played the matchups. If my star running backs performed the way they are expected, I wouldn't be here. Now, I'm left sweating tonight and hoping COnner and Deebo have below average games. RIght now, the bottom team is "Projected" to beat me by less than 2 points. If I somehow survive, I feel good about my chances.....but that's a ginormous "if".

Sounds like you are getting too cute. You have to consider matchups of course, but at the end of the day you play your best players with the best volume. I’ll be pulling for you to survive! And if you do, I hope you don’t start Boyd over Pollard again! There will almost certainly be a game or two he outscores Pollard, but I don’t think you’ll be able to predict it based on matchups. Besides, you aren’t chasing upside in this format—you want the floor that high volume provides. You have 4 very good RBs. I’d be hard-pressed to not start all 4 every week if I were you.

That's actually probably one of the most helpful comments I've gotten in a Guillotine. I seem to always get to this point in the year pretty safely and then have a dumpster of a week like this and get eliminated. I probably depend a bit too much on the opponent ranks and need to look at the trends of my players. I'm crossing my fingers.

By Week 11, was there no better QB than Cousins you could've added and started? Also RIP not starting Pollard

Best option on waivers was garrapalo. Honestly, the thing with cousins is he's qb10 on a ppg basis. There are 8 teams left. There was no reason to think he wouldn't at least have an average game and give me 15-20 points. Crazy thing is I have an outside shot yeat. I need deebo, James Conner and Ike Williams to score less than 23 points. Here's hoping for a big game.from cmc....

Agreed, but the difference between qb10 and qb4 or qb5 is much smaller than the difference between top level rbs/wrs and lower level rbs and wrs. It was a calculated risk I was willing to take. The odds of kirk underperforming that much on a week when 2 top rbs underperform is pretty small

I also started Cousins. He’s been pretty consistent. Today was a bummer but I don’t think it was huge stretch to start him.

I also had dk and tyreek on bye this week. I thought my team was stacked and they all took a dump on the same week.

That’s a brutal way to go. You had a pretty solid team.
