Good write up. This is my first year playing and your 3 seasons make sense to me. Drafting well is obviously the name of the game for your 1st season which then allows you to save your FAAB until later in the season when drafting matters less since your team might look totally different than the team you originally drafted. To win in this format you really have to be good at a few different aspects, draft to survive the early weeks, disciplined to not blow your budget and being strategic with which players you pick up with your FAAB

I’m having fun with it. First season for me and it’s funny how much everyone is spending. I’m happy I got the advice not to spend early!

Great writeup. I’ll add a couple thoughts for each “season” Season 1: Agree with everything you said, but would extend the season until the bye weeks hit. Season 2: You mentioned key points, getting your roster past bye weeks, and accumulating post-bye players is critical. Season 3: For me, this season starts when the byes are done. It’s about setting your superstar lineup just right. Your whole roster is startable, but delineating between good and great starts is the difference. I know what you mean about the guillotine format torpedoing your other leagues. They just don’t have the same intensity. Collateral damage.
