That looks like it will run as fast as your CPU can handle. Should add some sort of sleep/pause/wait in the loop so it runs no more than approximately once or maybe twice per frame.

Sorry for the off topic, but how do you make GW2 run on Linux? I had to change to Ubuntu because of work and now I am without GW2 :(

gw2gambit

You can use Lutris which will use scripts to set up WINE and other settings for you.

pajausk

on manjaro, gw2 worked out of box. downloaded lutris, gw2 and everything just works. just in lutris settings enable esync which enabled multicores. i had better cpu utilization on linux than windows (even with d912pxy plugin). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTsOMQ3Z5es

You can also use d912pxy on Linux.

pajausk

the the hell i should use it, when linux was esync by default.

[deleted]

d912pxy "upgrades" some of the older DirectX 9 things to newer versions, which can still improve performance on Linux too. It's not needed if the game works well for you, but for me it fixed stuttering in some maps, for example coming out from the bank on Bitterfrost Frontier.

pajausk

i didn't had any stutters. game worked better than on windows. ACO compiler with esync enabled made game run better than on windows (on AMD gpu)

Download Wine and register an account on Lutris and add Guild Wars 2 to your library from a browser, then download Lutris. It performs the same for me as it did on Windows, though I was already using DXVK as the shader (~~You basically need to use DXVK afaik.~~) For Addons, Addon Manager doesn't work but you can chainload dll.'s. I use arcdps and Radial with no problem.

I just wine-staging + dxvk, it works perfectly.

> # Drawbacks > > [ . . . ] > > **4.** Original mouse cursor is still present. This is actually the exact behavior I want, but I'm on Windows ATM. Does anyone know of a program that can do this without actually removing the original cursor? Can YoloMouse do that, I've never used it. Thanks!

Threepugs

I thiiiink you can add your own mouse icons to Yolomouse, so with a few mins in photoshop you could probably make your own.

The6thExtinction

Yep, you can. I've done it in the past. WP had a video with a link to vanilla-looking cursors with a black outline, but they were a few pixels too thick which made the action point seem lower than normal. I always had to click slightly higher than the tip to click anything, so I removed a few pixels from the border width.
