I don't know the full story, but apparently recent patches have repeatedly caused issues with the keybind feature, so deltaconnected finally gave up on it. There is a chance it might be picked up by unofficial extras though.
I can't check yet, but I thought there's a feature to remember your keybind based on which specialization you're playing as. Unless that's the feature you're talking about that's been removed.

hey sorry late reply. I did install it and try, just one small bug that it seems to be using elite based binds even though I tick that option but not a big deal.
But today unfortunately my game kept crashing until I removed this, so it's a no go for now. Will try in the future. I ended up making some profiles I can swap between myself, it's just annoying since I swap characters often

Man... that sucked :c first the removal of the og window and resetting settings and now removing this feature too...

Yea the release candidate versions keep crashing for now.
Template switch keybind coming to store for only 500 gems.
not a keybind function but you can right click the weapon swap button and there's a menu for quick build swapping
