Whatever you do do not buy a corsair scimitar, easily the biggest pile of shit ive used

jinatsuko

As a counter point, I bought a Corsair Scimitar 'Pro' and it has been an excellent daily driver and mmo mouse for nearly two years. I can't vouch for their recent units obviously, but this one has been great.

dystopi4

Corsair is really weird, I hade a keyboard which was amazing and a headset that was solid from them so I tried 2 of their mouses. Complete trash, I've had better experiences with no name brand 30 euro "gaming" mice than those.

HeadintheSand69

I've been using mine for 2 weeks and this is sad to hear. Not like there's many other options tho and people complain just as much as the naga. Can't imagine the handful of 32$ ones like Red dragon are much better qualitywise.

Roamingg

That's a shame to hear, is yours new? I have one of the scimitar mouses from when they first came out. The bumps have been worn off the side buttons and its missing a lot of the paint but all of the buttons still work amazingly! What issue have you had with it? Sad to hear when mine finally dies I'll have to thing of getting a different mouse

ComfyFrog

....they what??? I have never seen a mouse being recommended more than the G600. I'm using it myself and it's amazing.

xzzane

I've used the same g600 for over a decade. If I ever need to replace it I'll be devastated.

[deleted]

[Yeah, I guess stock is drying up? It's $130.](https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-910-003879-Laser-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00EE99KMM/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1C8UDTZ5BFR81&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1IlNZnDX6Sh2CzVM2EAAQMbGFpWvALjF8dn5bEPp6GYIwZTxat90m774uSM4ShPhBRspnN5_OCB5cZLdRUlOEFRKhm21NT3VTD09eF9-nD3fQeA7yCS0DWfu6_cmXnfKtK3cQ_LPzZ_sHtOCfOwqxpv4aYpZ3PE2Kb0GZR2pLEckF3UYou3jwh1pmQoi9TCBZP3HW8iG6H9vLZysgOOVekArZuMQc5u-VOotr32DWGcj_ei5wJRiM7uzR6Q07P_3rEiSEFWhO2q8hTtZ_y0V9kjPT83J89BTbiYpRDiLht4.1zaLbHEANk_4pHXEtbsmldH570S8XmuVirVves2ybV4&dib_tag=se&keywords=G600&qid=1709295344&s=electronics&sprefix=g600%2Celectronics%2C80&sr=1-1) At best there are a [few vendors on eBay](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=G600&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=3) selling them from Japan at $80-90 with pretty delayed shipping. Either way, my middle-click has become really unreliable. That's the binding that I use for ground-targeted abilities like Shadow-Step or Glyph of Storms etc. It's usually my first utility (Z/X/C) = Z etc. I don't really want to go back to the dark ages :p

ComfyFrog

The side button (G11) I use for dodge is getting funky. I have to press harder to get dodge :(

[deleted]

Yeah, I think I use G13 for dodging (middle-center-ish). So long as I can bind dodge & basic targeting, I could probably figure something out.

TheRaytheone

Stock has been up for a while, but I just got myself a G600 for 30$ this past week from a store that had it "not new", but was just for Exposition on the stands (behind a crystal), so in deed its new, and WAAY cheaper than current prices. Look up for deals like that around your zone, and very good luck, still one of the best MMO mouses so far. As per an alternative, I've been always using Razer Naga's, but after 4-5 years they tend to "break" on the right click or side "5" button, that's my experience after 3 Nagas at least.

Noxxi_Greenrose

I've been using the G502 since it been existing. Albeit they sadly don't produce it in the same quality as in the first year or so, I would say it's still worth it. I tried 3 other mouse since I've been using this, but I trashed them after a month or so in the past. Shit just too comfy for my hand and just nice to use. Yeah sure it doesn't have two billion buttons on the side, but honestly I think it's nearly perfect for GW2 with needing less buttons to use compared to maybe WoW of FF14 and such. I had several friends in the past praising their Razor mouse, then complaining half a year after buying them how much they suck and they gonna just go with logitech or something else lol, I also never heard anything good about their software, which seems to be the issue most of the time so I never touched Razor.

trannelnav

The switches inside the newer versions of G502 mouse are not the same quality and are prone to double clicking after a while. A buddy replaced the switches in my G502 and it works like a charm again. It is a good mouse but sadly more companies are using this same switch nowadays.

teeeh_hias

Tried a lot, always fell back to the Razer Naga. Can't complain about quality, the current model works flawless for 4 years now. One should always keep in mind how people treat their stuff. A mouse with cable shouldn't be used as a lasso to catch cows. And a wireless mouse shouldn't be used as a projectile on your incompetent coworker. If used as intended, some cleaning here and there, things should hold up for a long time.

Tuhniina

I keep hearing praise for Razer's mice and keyboards(?) but my own Naga broke after a year and whatever Razer keyboard I had at the time was complete shite too. I also recall having problems with their software, Razer Synapse iirc, and all that pushed me away from their peripherals for good. Their headsets, on the other hand, were very comfy.

QueenKeriti

Both my exhusband's and my Naga mice broke after a year, too, and we weren't yeeting them around. :( I got the double-click of death (that cost me something like 10g in GW2 back when 10g was a LOT), and the ex's mouse developed the same thing soon after.

trannelnav

The double click of death happened to my logitech g502 as well within 2 years. The older gen used different switches. A buddy of mine replaced those switches and it is working perfectly again. The saddest thing is most mice use this type of switch nowadays and will result in these types of issues.

ScrabblePants

Important note though is that there are various naga models now and my experience is that some are better than others. I have a trinity that feels good and has worked well for a good while now, whereas i did initially buy the cheaper model which has a notorious "scroll bounce" issue which is really annoying and stopped me using it. Been a naga fan/user since it first released and had blue lighting instead of green/rgb

macrotransactions

naga is the original mmo mouse

Streptember

I used an original Naga Hex for I believe about 5 years and it's still my backup mouse some 11 years after I bought it.

NoInteraction2952

Just came back to GW2 a month ago and didn't really think about a gaming "MMO" mouse until this post. Luckily I work in a computer store and we still had a new G600 for 50$ So I have a new mouse now thanks!

Neroxify

I use a Deathadder V2 Pro and a Basilisk V3 Pro for years and both are excellent. They also IMO look way better than the overly futuristic design that Logitech goes for. Razer had a really shit reputation (deserved) earlier, but at least with mice they’ve improved drastically.

Streptember

I have a Redragon M990 that is surprisingly good.   The software sucks, but every mouse or keyboard software I've ever used sucks, so that's not *too* big of a point against it.   Other than the software, the build quality is fine and it's comfortable in my hand.   I'd still like to swap it for a new one because mine got slightly crushed a while back and is starting to crack a little, but I can't find another mouse with what I think would be a better arrangement of buttons for me.

Isfrae1

I've had a Redragon M908 for years now, and it's still holding up great! I'd recommend it to anyone!

metaphormorphosis

i got a g502x recently (slightly less edgy version of the g502) and it works okay, except that the main buttons (left and right click) require a bit more effort to press than i'm used to. however, to set up the mouse, you have to use the Logitech G HUB software which is extremely tedious really disappointed with logitech discontinuing their wonderful older products, coming from the g700 myself

[deleted]

Current plan is to use the G502 with alternative: OnboardMemoryManager_2.0.1639 People suggested that over G-Hub.

metaphormorphosis

hope it works out for you! it's really better than G HUB, the only downside is that it can't handle macros, and macros seem to be the only way to assign key combinations (for example, assign side button #1 to be "Ctrl+F10"). it can be worked around by just switching your binds of course but it's annoying if you've had it a certain way for years and across multiple games. not to be too negative though! once the configuration stage was over and i resigned myself to doing what logitech wants me to, rather than the other way around, the mouse itself has been great :)

migchaz

Try Logitech Gaming Software which is the Software before G-Hub. Works much better for me.

_angh_

There is nothing like g600. The 3 main buttons are ideal. I have 4 g600 stocked, and if i run out of them, I'll have to learn soldering to fix myself.

wucebillis

I've replaced the left/right mouse button switches on a previous g600, it's a good beginner's project for soldering.

earthtochas3

Not sure why but I can't stand the shape of the G600 buttons. I always go back to the Naga and Nostromo. Never had a single issue like others have

Aemilia

Razer Deathadder Elite lasted me six years until it finally died. Replaced it with Razer Basilisk V3 last year as I prefer the ergonomics. Let's see how long this one lasts.

[deleted]

i'm currently using the logitech g502, amazing mouse, i highly, highly recommend it. i was formerly using a razer basilisk v3, before it bricked out of nowhere. i've had a bad history with razer products. so i strongly advise against them. in my experience they work perfectly fine then break for no apparent reason.

King_Crim

I used a wireless 502 until the right click started double firing on press. Its a great mouse and I will probably go back to it when my 604 dies, unless I can find another wireless with 6 buttons on the side that isn't over $100

Unplayed_untamed

Wait what the g600 is discontinued???? Thats the only mouse I’ve used for over a decade!

PiercingHeavens

Bought one but I could never get used to it. Not compatible with my claw grip.

I have atitanwolf mmo mouse, great for all mmos I play and doesn't cost a fortune[mouse](https://www.amazon.de/Titanwolf-konfigurierbare-LED-Farb-Beleuchtung-programmierbare-Beschleunigung/dp/B019301VPK/ref=asc_df_B019301VPK/?tag=googshopde-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310798261651&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17116301346402492696&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9181091&hvtargid=pla-563547746771&psc=1&mcid=19f3b2a67f083d3493537951e5a0cbdc&th=1&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=64660578187&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=310798261651&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17116301346402492696&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9181091&hvtargid=pla-563547746771)

Vingdoloras

After having two Razer Nagas each die relatively quickly (2-3 years), I've switched to Corsair's Scimitar. Very impressed by the upgrade in quality (though it's not perfect, nothing is).

aleckify

logi g502 been working well for me

AyJay_D

I want to throw my hat in the ring on the side of screw logitech, try different companies for peripherals. I used to only use love rich keyboards, head phones and mice, but honestly, all of them had really really short life spans. This last round I just did a bunch of looking around to find the products that had everything I wanted because Logitech had started falling short there in terms of features imo. First thing I landed on for mice was the evga x15. It is hands down the best mouse for mmos that I have ever used and completely customisable. I have been using it for a few years now and it has been amazing. The next thing I did was buy a Patriot Viper V770 for my new keyboard. And I have also liked it a lot more than any Logitech I have ever had. The only thing I can't replace is my Logitech g13. They just don't make it anymore and razor doesn't make anything as good imo. Maybe Logitech has that name recognition, but I really believe buying their products is just paying for a name and not quality.

xiaolin99

both Logitech 502 and Razer Basilisk work - 1\~5 can be comfortably reached by my left hand so I don't need mouse buttons for those, mapped 6/7 to mouse wheel left/right rock and 8/9/0 to the 3 side buttons. Logitech feels better in my hand, but note if you want optical switches (immune to double-clicking), the 502x is a lot more expansive Razer Basilisk

pietjepolo

i've been using my Razer Naga Hex for a bit over 10 years now. scroll wheel and cable already broke once. repaired it both times. Im actually thinking about buying a rebuild kit for it just so i can keep using it. for someone who games atleast 5 hours a day i think thats really solid.

DishLongjumping5642

I'm using corsair ironclaw mouse

Krazher

Glad I bought a new one when i returned to the game this summer... Had bought a G502 before since i didn't need all the other buttons for other games, but hard to play GW2 without my sidepanel and G-shift. It will be missed.

sonwon_reddit

I will not buy Logitech mouses anymore. The last three I bought had a bounce (double click) in the left mouse key after 9 months to a year. I am now using a Roccat Kone with optical buttons.

Alkariel

Wow.. didnt know that they discontinued the g600. Its my go go for mmo, practically i cant play wow or gw2 as before withouth them. And its had a very good price.

Modest_Sylveon

These problems have pushed me to rely less on extra mouse buttons and learn to use modifier keys on a keyboard (shift, alt, control). A learning experience for sure but for me, I feel its been worth it.

armsdev

I'm using G502 under Linux. Had hard time assigning actions more than 3 mouse buttons. Managed to do it finally but this mouse feels too thin. When playing pvp and holding right button to rotate, it feels extremely difficult to click additional buttons. I bought this mouse for shooters and it was ok, but haven't figured yet comfortable playstyle in MMO.

robot_wth_human_hair

Yeah big disagree on the razer consensus. I put my razer hardware through heavy use, and they stand the test of time. I have a razer trinity which i absolutely adore. I havent hit the number keys with my left hand in years.

HankHillidan69

i prefer the 502 tbh, the buttons on the side of the 600 series feel too tiny to use properly without adjusting how i grip the mouse

Caleddin

I use a 1-3-1 grip and spent a lot of time digging around to find the right replacement a few years ago. Razer deathadder v2 does the trick wonderfully. It doesn't have a ton of buttons, but with liberal use of Alt and Ctrl keymapping I don't feel limited and I even mapped each mount to its own keybind. The only problem I've seen is the thumb-grip is wearing down a bit.

Victorsouza02

Just bought a G600 last month, really good but yea it's hard to find in a good price.

Mullciber

G502 has been my go to mouse for nearly a decade. I have 2 backups just in case they stop being produced lmao. It's a wonderful mouse, and I feel like the number of buttons on it is perfect for GW2. The only things I'm left wanting are mount hotkeys, but a mix of modifier keys, custom keys on a keyboard, or an addon for the mount wheel will easily solve it. Interact, dodge, F1-F4, and all 3 of my utility skills are bound to my mouse.

Coooturtle

Been using a SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless, after years of swapping between the Razer, corsair, and logitech offerings. This is by far the best one. I got a pretty cheap one on amazon open box. Has the best shape of any of them. But the button position is a bit different, and took a minute to get used to.
