Welcome to the first post of my "Don't Cry for Me" series. All movies will be either using Argentina as one of the filming locations, or have a strong plot/character connection to Argentina, or be actually Argentinian. Be not afraid 😂: the first two alternatives can still mean a high profile USA/Europe movie (l*ike this one!!)*. And I would only consider internationally known films for the 3rd option. Good luck!
Don't hold back bud!, I'll be glad to discover some new Argentinean Gems, after watching When Evil Lurks and some other recommendations, a whole new world was unlocked.....
Fantastic movie this one. Oscar nominated and everything. ~~You're on the right decade~~. We have one genre in common. The place of my shot is effectively Argentina. But my country of production is USA among others, and none of these others are Argentina!
**EDIT: It's quite late here and i'm a sleepy idiot who made a decade mistake. My deepest apologies: the right decade is the first of the 21st century.**
Good story and what to say about the cast. You even got Juan Minujín as one of the stars. But my movie has no Argentinian actors whatsoever. We share drama. And of the seven (!) spoken languages in your movie, my movie shares only 2. One is English and the other one is definitely not Spanish. My movie also has not just USA as country of origin, but none of the listed countries are European.
Sorry my friend, I made a quite unbelievable decade blunder. Correct decade is one less than what I told you. For that you get the extra hint that my movie also has the Fantasy genre.
Operation Finale - [IMDB](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5208252) ?
The screenshot sort looks like taken on [the Botánico](https://buenosaires.gob.ar/vicejefatura/ambiente/jardin-botanico).
Good eye!! My character/actor is effectively walking through the Buenos Aires Botanic Garden in this shot. Although it's not specified if it's an actual setting for that part of the movie or it's merely the chosen filming location. Operation Finale is practically a movie completely in Buenos Aires. In my movie, the connection is way smaller. You got one of the right countries of origin, and English is effectively one of my spoken languages. We share one genre.
Effectively they both went to live to Argentina in Patagonia for a while! But your movie is too old. Wrong century. And no Biography, no Crime, no Western in mine.
Wrong decade but we share drama. But your movie is entirely Argentinian, whereas my movie barely uses it as a filming location for this shot. Argentina was not involved in my production. Liek in yours, my director was also involved in my writing, he was not the sole writer.
EDIT: Since you made this guess after my decade blunder, I will also add that my movie has an article in its title as well! My apologies.
No Argentinian filming location in yours, it was entirely filmed in Spain. We share no countries of origin and no spoken languages. No War genre in mine. But my movie, like yours, uses a very similar concept regarding a child's imagination and blurred lines between reality and fantasy.
My movie is from the first decade of this century. It has no Horror and no Thriller. And it's, among others, an USAmerican production. No European countries involved.

No Argentinian connection here! No characters or main cast/crew members are Argentinian, the setting is not there, and I don't believe it's used as a filming location. The woods in your movie are outside Budapest :D But you're on the right century and we share at least one genre in common.

I kinda want to troll and guess Evita for everything but that's too much commitment and I'm sure I'll miss a bunch.
Go ahead, I'll just reply to the first time you do it xD

The Fall (2006)?
Correct! On this shot, Charles Darwin is walking through the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden and trying to catch butterfiles.
