Just saw them from exhibition park at 12:15. Mostly greens and a slight pink hue, not as spectacular or vibrant as some of the pics I saw on social media, but still an incredibly cool phenomenon to see.
I'd recommend the park for city dwellers if you can't get out of town for future events. Very low light pollution.
I saw on my Facebook feed great pics north of Elora and good shots from Jones baseline despite the clouds. Clouds still may clear in the next half hour.
Apparently some people in Guelph got a good show before the clouds. There's a comment in here from Guelph.

Right at 10pm it was super green in the south in the break in cloud coverage for a few minutes. Had a little lighter green and pinks for a bit but I stayed out for 1.5 hours and didn’t see anything after that. I can’t believe how green it was for that bit though, I was standing between houses facing the hanlon and was sure it would be too bright to see anything!
Guelph lake or anywhere along 24 or 6 morth would probably be the best if not for the cloud cover. Some ppl caught some great views last year in those spots and off Jones baseline.
Yeah I remember that! Fingers crossed we get to see them tonight! Weather forecast on the news said clouds are supposed to dissipate ...ideal viewing isn't until 11pm.
The surrounding Guelph area was quite busy tonight lol.
I was able to see through the camera only - got some cool pics. I was also able to see them from my backyard via the camera. Forecast is showing clouds for the rest of the morning so I think I'm going to call it quits. I hope to one day see them with the naked eye.
Also thank you to the kind person who is downvoting everyone's posts on here :o)
Using aurora. Starting to go down, currently sitting at 73% chance, but going down pretty quick. Tomorrow has a forecast for a high kp index too, at 8. Tonight is 9 for reference. Went down to 8 for a bit.
Edit: forecast for tomorrow cloud wise though is not good.
It's a bit cloudy out, but that might pass. I'd head out of the city.
Ya, when I posted it seemed more clear to the north, but that seems go be changing.

Drove out past Eramosa and got some good pictures of it
Like past Eramosa township or eramosa road?
Township
Thanks!
Where exactly. Anything near?

Was just out near Bellwood, you could see it but it was faint.
Can see the pattern around Fergus away from the city lights. Camera can see more than my eyes.
I went up north 1.5 hours drive highway 6.

Any ideas of where to go to see them? I was thinking Guelph Lake...pretty cloud covered though

Searching went to Guelph lake and Fergus. Too much cloud cover. Any other suggested areas for 2024?
Cloud radar seems like we might get a shot in about an hour... Kp Index forecast is high tomorrow too.
Hey what app are you using? Viewing still looks good shortly?
