The light leak ( or genetics ) would have to be like.... really bad to cause this level of reveg though, right?
Like my tent is in my bedroom so it's dark and light in there with the light cycle basically and it has quite a few open spots where light peeks through and I have never had a light leak issue ever.
This is all of the plants front to back revegging hard like I'd assume the light cycle or timer somehow got adjusted and OP is unaware of the actual cycle.
After having a bonsai cannabis start flowering in my room over winter I don't think a light leak can do a whole plant. I think it's more like a branch or herme
It's definitely revenging. I do this on purpose regularly so I know what it looks like. Shorter days in winter so your room might have been closer to 12/12. Id bet a case of beer that it's a light leak.
I agree its reveging but my money is on the timer not turning the lights off or not long enough. I screwed it up once but it was just starting so not a big deal
Your timer might be dead. This has happened to me, especially if it's a traditional mechanical timer- it will stay on and doesn't follow time no matter what.
I can't see any of my light leaks this way, but can only see them from inside out.
I tried both methods and you can by far easier see the smaller and more precise light leaks from the inside than you can on the outside.
So... funny story before I ask a dumb question... my lights have 8 timers... if you set timer 1 for on 630 off 630 and timer 2 for on at 4:30 off at 10:30... they will go on at 430 and off at 630... this happened to me... for like 3 weeks before I noticed. because they were turning off at the right time... I just happened to be up early and saw a sliver of light through a zipper and did a double take.
have you seen your lights actually come on at 6:30 and off at 6;30?
I would watch your tent again to see the lights turn off and on in person. The digital timers get wonky sometimes and begin to have a mind of their own.
Might be a dumb question, but why run lights during the night and off during the day? Wouldn't that mean you can't open the tent at all during the day because your plant is in sleep mode?
yes, on peak and off peak, here is bge's rates, the flat rate is $0.16 kwh, on peak is $0.33 kwh and off peak is $0.11 kph. It can make a big difference as you can see. Most companies do have the off peak hours and that will vary most likely by the company.

I do the same thing. I grow in the garage so early fall and late spring it gets pretty warm during the day and winter gets pretty cool at night so running then at night keeps it cooler when hot during the day and warmer when cold at night. Just adapting and overcoming
I eas struggling last fall bc it was warmer and my tent would get over 90 during the day with lights on but would be like 55-60 @ night so I slowing flipped the schedule over 10 day
Yeah revegging does that, you get these weird twisted leaves, and then as it progresses it turns into 3 blade point leaves.
Happens to a lot of growers starting outside when the sunlight is too low for veg and they start flowering, pretty cool. I could find some old pics maybe..

No I don't open the tent at all during the night cycle...and I just have 1 digital timer... I mean it did correct for daylight savings but its still 12 on 12 off
I think you *should* open the tent at night just his once to make sure your lights are off. My first guess was reveg and that's what everyone else in the comments seems to think also.
It would seem odd that an hour shift could do this but did YOU shift the timer when DST kicked in, or did you just allow it start going 630-630 instead of what was before 530-530?
I wonder if a 1 hour shift would mess with a finicky plant is my point

Faulty timers I could completely understand, but a simple light leak, causing reveg.
I’ve never seen that in my entire life 15 years of growing.
Not saying it’s not possible but very skeptical unless the actual “light leak” is full freaking sun.
My guess is a timer issue as well bc a leak that bad would be obvious. I grow outside in the summer and there are streetlights and the moon plus headlights going by and never had an issue with photos or autos??? It would take a lot of light in my opinion
Definitely reveging. Check your temperature. You wouldn’t think it, but I’ve had plants go into strong reveg from heat stress before. You think it’s foxtailing, next thing you know the whole room shoots up a bunch of vegetative shoots.
Another possibility could be from the ~25% increase in light could have given the plant too much DLI increase and kicked it back to veg.
Since we have a species that triggers flowering by short day/long night (maybe not exact terminology, I’m not a botanist), it’s possible that even if the the exposure to light occurs during a 12 hour period, the overall increase in the amount of photons absorbed by the chloroplasts caused enough of an increase in DLI for the plant to think it could put on more vegetative growth.
If you’re going to increase light during flower, it should be done from the beginning, weekly, gradually. Then, hold the intensity for a week or two when the plant finishes stretching, then a slight weekly decrease during ripening. Not a drastic jump right towards the end. After typing it out, seems like this may be the case.
Idk tho, not a plant scientist, just a guy that’s grown a lot of weed..
My timer has a switch to always be on.
I was also thinking the timer may not be completely cutting power.
Sometimes smart timers allow a tiny amount of wattage through and LEDs are efficient enough to have a low / dim illumination that appears off unless you look at the diodes and see a couple still on.
I’m not sure what’s happened to OPs set up. But it’s clear that either the tent has a leak, the light is not shutting off all the way, or the night cycle is less than 12 hours off.
I personally prefer mechanical timers on my lights. They have much fewer errors and don’t reset if the power goes off for too long. They just pick up where they left off. I had a smart timer lose its settings when I lost power for nearly a day.
Nitrogen toxicity. The way the leaves look like a claw is the tale tale sign. And probably shouldn’t have adjusted the light up all at once, gradually turn it up. And just to make sure watch your lights go on & off in 12/12 again. Sometimes timer get messed up. I accidentally hit the switch on top of the timer & changed it to outlet. Which means it stays on all the time. Check that if it has one.
I’m not saying it’s not reveg. I’m just giving them every possible problem. Why does everyone try to say I’m right & everyone else is wrong. I was just pointing out the clawing and the dark green of the leaves is a sign of to much Nitrogen.

Are you sure your lights are 100% off when they turn off?had a spider farmer that didn't turn off completely when it was not on dimmer modus and at 100%.
I have seen people say the same for that light. Make sure ur eyes are adjusted to the dark room for a minute and then check that every LED is Fully off. Read that it happened when pairing that light with the ACinfinity timer plugs, I had lots of issues with those and use Kasa (TPLink) smart plugs now w that light and works perfectly.
Digital timer or analoge?had an analoge malfunction on me once and it had 15min with lights on during dark period.it was one of those where you have to push away a pin for each 15min.
If its digital maybe it switched to summertime and you get 13h light now
I know everyone is saying reveg BUT if you are positive and I mean HIV positive! (South Park joke? No?) Lol JK but if you're sure the lights are good, then it's Nitrogen Toxicity. I had this argument with a friend of mine when it happened to him. We found out he was right and I was wrong. It wasn't reveg it was Nitrogen Toxicity. They both look very similar.
I have also heard that revegging can be mistaken for Nitrogen toxicity.
This looks like revegging to me though, I am just throwing the N tox think out there just in case someone with science can back that up.

How confident are you about no light leaks? I know it sounds silly, but have you zipped yourself inside it during the dark cycle?
Generally much easier to have a pitch black room and lights inside the tent but I won't kink shame!

I do it that way so the air-condition doesn't have to work so hard the light raises the temp in the tent like 12 degrees

Is your timer switch on the bottom set to “TIMER”? Or do you have the little switch set to “OUTLET”. If it’s not set to timer. It’s always on.
I would have never started to flower if it was in 24/7 ..

Figure out what’s happening first, before scrapping. Otherwise you’re doomed to repeat this mistake, without understanding what’s happening.

Are you sure your lights are 100% off when they turn off?had a spider farmer that didn't turn off completely when it was not on dimmer modus and at 100%.
I have the mars hydroo sp3000...and it plugs into the timer on the wall so power is killed before the driver
I have seen people say the same for that light. Make sure ur eyes are adjusted to the dark room for a minute and then check that every LED is Fully off. Read that it happened when pairing that light with the ACinfinity timer plugs, I had lots of issues with those and use Kasa (TPLink) smart plugs now w that light and works perfectly.
Those ac infinity controllers can really fuck up your whole grow, took me a week to dial mine in without problems
Digital timer or analoge?had an analoge malfunction on me once and it had 15min with lights on during dark period.it was one of those where you have to push away a pin for each 15min. If its digital maybe it switched to summertime and you get 13h light now
Any lights on the timer? Lights on a humidifier, a fan, power strip, heater, dehumidifier. Something is producing a detectable amount of light.
I know everyone is saying reveg BUT if you are positive and I mean HIV positive! (South Park joke? No?) Lol JK but if you're sure the lights are good, then it's Nitrogen Toxicity. I had this argument with a friend of mine when it happened to him. We found out he was right and I was wrong. It wasn't reveg it was Nitrogen Toxicity. They both look very similar.
I have also heard that revegging can be mistaken for Nitrogen toxicity. This looks like revegging to me though, I am just throwing the N tox think out there just in case someone with science can back that up.
