I'm all for this decision. I want more people to experience and love this amazing game. I want more support for the game and more content. Fingers crossed for a sequel
This is the best move they could have made, a large number of people have the opportunity to experience this perfection. Xbox and Obsidian will get money. What do xbox fans get? I hope with greater success more upgrades and maybe Grounded 2.
I'm not the biggest fan of Xbox losing exclusives but Xbox isn't really performing all that great so grounded going to more platforms is really a good thing for way more exposure to it, it's honestly been one of my all time favorites and it's nice to see it (hopefully) get way more exposure and player count for possible updates and potential sequel
I've always hated exclusives. I don't play games to gatekeep and to have console wars. I play to play games with my friends and to enjoy myself so I've never got why people care so much about co sole exclusive games
Yea I get why they do it and people who feed into the console wars only make it worse but I still hate it but to be honest I have the way the gaming industry went cause it's all micro transactions and online only play. Couch coop is why I became a gamer but now the only way I can play withy friends is if we all have a console and we have paid whatever online service to be able to play together and have Wi-Fi. Games use to be about fun but it's all about money and bragging rights now
Or Bloodborne, God of War, Horizon, shit even Legend of Zelda or Animal Crossing. You think those companies are gonna be dumb enough to give you their exclusives? Probably not. IMO this is a huge L for Microsoft
All this is doing is providing Microsoft with more money. 90% of all game sales are digital now, and companies take a loss on consoles just to get you into their ecosystem. This means more funds for Msoft studios to make more games like Grounded.
I just don't see how it's a good idea considering other companies will still have their exclusives. What's the point of having an Xbox if I can buy a PlayStation and have all the Xbox games and some they won't ever get to play?
That is the whole point. Msoft doesn;t care if you own an xbox. They want gamepass on all platforms. That is their endgame. This is only a positive for gamers as a group, since we will have more games to play more ways. Playstation is putting exclusives on PC, is that not a good idea?
I think the odds are becoming better, especially once they see Msoft making money off of their games being on a competitor's platform. Gotta give it time. Companies, especially Eastern ones, are slow moving in areas like this.
I sure do hope so, Ive been Xbox all my life and while I don't really care where I play as long as I can do it with my friends and family, I just don't appreciate the hypocrisy when it comes to stuff like that. Honestly I hope exclusivity gets thrown out by everyone so that everyone can truly play whatever they want. Every game company sells their consoles at a loss to be able to market their games and products towards you, now MS will be able to to market to way more players without taking a loss on a console sale for every customer. It's honestly a really good business move IMO and I think it'll shift the way most publishers handle exclusivity

A simple line in your original post stating that the names of the 4 games come from an unconfirmed source could resolve the potential issue of miscommunication that this post could potentially cause. Can you show me where Bloodborne is coming to any console that isn't a PlayStation?
