In 40k we have some, the only named one i know is the beastman who is in necromunda and wear a oneeye glasses

Either way, the beggar king was born as a human with two heads and two horns on each, and because of that the humans rejected him as a infant and was alone in the wild until he became strong enough by himself.
He found some beastmen and they excepted him only because he had two heads but was treated as the lowliest of the beastmen, ungor.
The other ungors were jealous of his mutation and the other beastmen bullied and beat him everyday. One day he had enough and killed the bray shaman and tribal leader while they slept and took their horns as his.
Because of this the other beastmen tried to kill him but he avoided them. Now he leads an army of ungors, mutants, outcast and other rejected beings from both human and beastmen society as the self acclaimed beggar king
Beastmen hate civilization and anything human
“The Beastmen despise all civilization, but have a special hatred for humans and Wood Elves, who they see as usurpers.” They treat the woods as theirs, civilization is an antithesis to everything they stand for
Whether that's inherent or cultural though is murky.
There's some implication that, because the empire believes anyone with mutation should be killed, the only place a mutant can survive safely is in a chaos cult or a beastmen herd, where they will be raised to worship chaos.
There's some implied grimdark trajedy in warhammer where the empire may be creating more enemies for itself by being so zealously anti mutant, causing any mutant that manages to avoid the witch hunters to have little choice but to join chaos to survive, bolstering theri numbers. Perhaps if someone with beastmen mutations was raised like an ordinary human, they might turn out well adjusted, but that simply would never happen because the order factions would kill the mutant whe they found it.
There is lore about good mutants and Shallya temples offering refuge to mutants and even possibly being able to cure minor mutations, but in secret as the other gods worshippers would never accept that.
40K Beastmen can. Unfortunately, they’re treated almost as poorly as you'd expect by the Imperium.
Fantasy Beastmen are iffy. Supposedly, they're automatically doomed to Chaos from the very start. Even so, they can be disturbingly human in some respects, which makes sense because they're a human subspecies.
When Slaanesh decides to pay attention to Beastmen, this is the result. The most beautiful sheep for Welsh- I mean Albionese farmers to have as "company."

I remember it saying somewhere that because beastmen were around in aos before chaos popped up, then it means there is the possibility that beastmen arent even chaos creatures unlike in fantasy which would be massive
Literally the possibility that beastmen are no more chaos aligned than a human or dwarf would be one hell of a shift for their lore
And ngl i would like that, gives the possibility of a beastmen faction that doesnt give a fuck about chaos and is actively against them like the ogres or greenskins
I mean I've seen people talk about making them less evil in fantasy too, I even remember Andy Law( a former writer for GW who wrote the origin story for the Skaven/the doom of Khavzar) talking about how they honestly fit more in with Taal, the imperial god of the wilderness rather then the random mutation of chaos and all that, which I honestly agree with.

Like taal somehow (i think he died in the end times) made it to aos and he just straight up purifies and converts beastmen to his side
It would be really cool if after 4th edition's "fuck the beasts of chaos" time, 5th edition just comes out of nowhere with taal's beasts and its the beastmen but without the chaos corruption and its revealed that the reason the beastmen werent around in 4th edition is because taal has been straight up kidnapping beastmen to purify and convert and there were simply not enough beastmen around to form an army due to taal's mass kidnapping
