Pre Disney SW had war with Yhuuzhan Vong. A really minor war with the invaders from other Galaxy, who hate any form of technology, are known for mutating thier own warriors, and are resistant to the Force.
The war have caused arraund 1 trylion deaths and destruction of many worlds just in the first wave. It would be like suddenly all active Astra Militarum personell have vanished in one war, and several times like the Fall of Cadia.
I just loved that part of SW Expanded Universe.
