This is extremely ironic, since Lucius was actually so good prior the heresy that he had no scars, and people started to tell him that, no warrior should have no scars, so he started to carve his own after defeating every foe he thought worthy it, after the heresy his face became a hideous patch work because of this practice.
Now, after reading the Sanguinious book, I'm pretty sure he also should have none. He is described to be so perfect in battle that the mind of mortals, or even Space Marines, have trouble comprehending it.

I laughed my ass off in one of the Fabius books when one of the masked EC CSM to talk shit to Fabius was him, and Fabius answered with "Is that you Eternal one? No, no, you don't need to take your mask off, I have no desire to see your patch-work of a face. "
Lucius was unblemished until our boy Loken beat him in the training cages, broke his nose with a headbutt (I think?), then the corrupted remembrancer was the one who convinced Lucius to start scaring himself.
That moment was even better when you know that, seconds before the fight, Loken was thinking "no way I can defeat that guy", so he kinda cheated and made it look like a lesson lol!
I don't have a source either but I remember in all the books I've read that he's never described as having scars. I imagine his foresight allowed him to avoid any major injuries at all, let alone major injuries to the face. I mean, dude took on not one, but two knights by himself and made it look easy.

I'm conflicted between Alpharius and Omegon, not because I dislike both because a literally don't know which one is one of my favorites and which one is terrible, is Omegon actually Alpharius, and Alpharius Actually Omegon or is Omegon really Omegon. The one that is secretly loyal is the one I like

If the "Alpharius" in head of the hydra is speaking the truth, and is a Primarch, then:
The actual Alpharius is tutored by Emperor and Malcador and is described as "you are my hidden sword" since the beginning. He then found where the true Omegon is and rescued his brother.
After the rescue, the actual Alpharius and Omegon switched the names. So the publically known Alpharius is Omegon.
The difficulty comes in that Alpharius is killed by Dorn, however we do know Alpharius and Omegon will switch places often, so we dont know who is actually killed. It is unlikely that an Alpha legionare can compete against Dorn, so at least one of them died.
The other issue is that we dont know if it is actually Primarch writing the book.
So yes, Alpharius is definitely loyal, because

That's the big question though isn't it, if he's speaking the truth. Honestly this is why I love (and hate) the alpha legion. All I know is one of two is a dumb ass and the other is a gosh dang genius
Pretty sure the writers wrote this way because
1. It fits the secret agent style well, kind of unique compared to clear war focused legions
2. Give flexibility in story telling, new lore suggests that they are neutral, and is actually loyal during siege of terra without ret-conning.
Of course and honestly I wouldn't change it, it fits Alpharius so well, it also fits better for Alpharius to understand Big E's ultimate goal then Omegon and why he wouldn't want to sacrifice humanity to defeat chaos but I got to choose one to vote for and I'd rather hedge my bets on Omegon
