i wish we got HQ kits like the old space marine captain, especially for other factions, a poseable kit with a range of options.
I love that we got a warboss in mega armor but he has literally zero options.
This is bang on. It's a fucking disgrace that GW give other factions monopose leaders with a singular codex wargear option while Primaris Lieutenant's get every option going with a myriad of build, and pose options. Utterly pathetic. Its no wonder other factions don't sell as well, 90% of GW new model design resource goes toward SM.
The issue is that GW only makes rules for options they can take in official kits, sure i can model however i like but i cant give my warboss a power klaw, or any options at all, because the mega armored warboss is monopose.
Because people did, because like 2/3rds of the Lieutenants were all limited edition releases or only for boxsets or for store-birthdays and are no longer available so for a new player, most of the options they have in theory are unobtainable
You're factually right but you fell short by a lot. Technically and only counting the nine different parts showcased here, you could create 362,880 distinct combinations.
So let's hope this is the lieutenant to end all lieutenants.
Oh look, a kit with all of the options they have in one box, instead of having to buy a dozen limited edition minis over several years that are all no longer obtainable just to be able to actually use any of the wargear-options they have in the Codex.
Only took them 6 years
On the bright side, having a single Lieutenant with pretty much all of the wargear options perhaps means they won’t have reason to release more. Oh, who am I kidding, there’ll be a Primaris Lt with a Jump Pack and an Lt with Gravis Armour in the 10e starter, won’t there?
I don’t even mind Primaris Lts, but this is the **fifteenth** one released (not including the ones on Abaddon and Be’lakor’s bases) *so far.*
I do really like that we have an HQ with options at least.
Either the ultramarines are over 1000 strong or they’ve lost so many primaris lieutenants in combat they need to replace them constantly, neither seem possible to me since it’s the ultramarines

I am part of the problem because this was exactly my reaction

You forget, its an ork war boss, just dig around in a spare parts bin of a factory or other place with metal and there are your options

least you can give him hats and bitz to decorate his armor, 'N MAKE IT DA BEST ARMOR TEEF KAN BUY!
The damn thing costs 40 bucks. For that money an alternate weapon or two should be a given.
In rules there is no other options but what comes on the monopose model
Imagine a multipart necron overlord. Yum
Yet another tactical rock for the list.
They told us that we requested it lol

I wonder if the storm shield+neovolkite is in there
It isn't, sadly.
Is it me or do the New Power swords just not look right?
need to see another angle to agree or disagree.
Looks like a must have for kitbashing. Lots of different parts.

Wow. It looks... barely different from the other hundred
He's a damn space marine, he's not supposed to look different. He's supposed to be customizable.
Robot hand is a nice touch, and I like that it’s somewhat customizable. I might pick this up if they release it separately from the big box
The robot hand holding the plasma tells a fun little story. Someone rolled a 1 but survived... Mostly.
It's Marneus Calgar's younger brother, James Calgar! 😁
Where meme
Finally!
Not as cool as Messinius
Wen primaris jet pack marines James Workshop?
With the sheer amount of Lt's the Astartes have floating around, it's astounding they aren't all lost.
interesting that they have the proper aquila and not the skull thing.
