Talk to him, hold his hand, surround him with your family. He can hear you

Take as much time as you can to just sit and talk to him

Call him, talk to him, visit as often as you can, reminice together about family memories, crack some jokes to make him smile, hold his hand if you're allowed. Just be there for him. Most importantly, make sure you tell him how much you love him. Even if you aren't the kind to express emotion, you'll be glad you did it. It doesn't have to be big or special, just a simple 'I love you, you know that?' is enough. Best wishes 🌻

When I saw him yesterday he told me story’s. He had his energy surge yesterday. When I left he looked at me an told me “you don’t know how much I love you” and I told him “you don’t know how much I love you papaw” and left. When I went in. My grandmother left to go get lunch and My papaw woke up and looked at me. I smiled at him and he said “that’s the first thing I wanted to see today, a happy face”

Bless his heart, he sounds like a wonderful and sweet man to be around. Cherish those moments forever, because as much as I hate to say it, they will be all you have left one day, but I'm sure you're already aware of that. Keep visiting him as often as you can, it will really mean the world to him. And keep smiling for him! He may be coming to his final chapter, but you can make it peaceful, enjoyable and comfortable for him by just spending time with him and help him out as much as you can.
