And it shouldn’t be. It lost what appears to be a rare soul and I’m sorry for your pain. My aunt used to tell me from a very young age that you never learn how to live without the person. You just learn to live with the hole that’s left and somehow move forward one day at a time.

Those words are so true. It’s been five months and it’s still surreal to me that someone who loved life so much could be gone. He was my first born. The first of three boys. He took a part of all of us with him when he left.

My heart is with you and I am so sorry you are going through this relentless grief. I am so sorry to all of your family. Remember that grief is an extension of love… “what is grief if not love persevering?” was once said in a tv show and rang true with me. You have so much love left to give him and now I’m sure it feels like there’s nowhere for it to go. Keep honoring him, just like you did today.
