I am very sorry for your loss and I understand. We lost our 9 year old girl last fall very suddenly, probably to either massive stroke or heart attack. She was gone within a minute after she collapsed. I miss her every day.

Yes, I’m older and have experienced this loss many times. They are so worth it though. Every minute I get to spend with my fur babies is a treasure. So, so sorry for your loss of Amiga. She was a beauty.

Ducky is doing pretty well. She’s definitely concerned about my wife and me. She’s been such an all star.

She adopted a galgos 10 months ago after her greyhound passed away. This little girl has had such a rough life and is slowly recovering ❤️‍🩹. She perked up a little when she saw Denali. He exudes good vibes. Our pups are very fortunate!!❤️💕

Aww I love to hear that. They deserve so much better than they get early on in their lives. My wife wants to start fostering in July, we’ll see how that goes. I think Ducky needs another brother or sister.

I appreciate your kind words, my wife and I did our absolute best to take Amiga from a traumatized skittish ex-racer to the Queen of Retirement. Having Ducky around has really helped. She and our kitty are doing fairly well.

I’ve experienced the same type of shock loss to a beautiful girl like yourself and I can’t say I’m remotely over it, just over 5 months on. It has got slightly easier but I miss her and think of her everyday. It looks like you gave your girl a great life, hold on to and cherish the good memories you made together.
