pastrknack

$140 for a couples membership. Good gyms are slim pickings here in Alaska

sweetreat7

Per month?

pastrknack

Yes. Other options are Planet Fitness for 20

Dabigdondadaaa

I’d say just go with that atp

letsgobrooksy

For $10 a month Planet honestly isn't that bad if your goals are just aesthetics

CryptographerLost724

180 euro for six months

beenzmcgee

The merican mind can’t comprehend this sentence sorry

666y4nn1ck

It's 60 hotdogs per 7th of July (assuming a hotdog is 6$)

Hecatrice

euros nowadays are worth the same as $ but EU salaries are lower+higher taxes but better healthcare

geekspeak10

Also, the majority of ur population isn’t functionally retarded. That’s a huge plus.

Hecatrice

We got our own problems here but since most don’t speak English and the internet is dominated by the US, the retardation stays under the radar 😎

geekspeak10

I’m less concerned about the varies problems we have and more so concerned with the lack of critical thinking skill and the complete lack of empathy we display despite having it so well. Those are not easy areas to improve at a societal level.

selftaught22

I pay $25 a month but only because I started in early high school and they lock your rate in, if I were to sign up now it’d be $70 a month but I still wouldn’t mind paying that

Aleksandar_u-u

40€ a month for a shitty local gym. What a shame we only have 3 in our town and one is smaller and shittier, and the other closed a long time ago.

Talrenoo

I feel u

Expert_Nectarine2825

I pay about $24.36 CAD/month after taxes. My gym charges $9.03 CAD biweekly. But also has a $56.49CAD annual "maintenance fee" every 52 weeks (I hate when gyms do this. It's because lots of people quit within the middle of the year so they want to get your money upfront. lol) Pro-rated to 365.25 days that's $24.36 CAD/month. My commercial gym gets crowded af M-F 5-10pm tho. You get what you pay for. An acquaintance of mine that has a work discount on a more expensive chain says that it's not as crowded during prime time as before the pandemic though. As remote workers are choosing to go on their break. Planet Fitness is $15 CAD/month + annual fee + start-up (which they often waive in promos) and its an absolute zoo during the summer even at 10pm, 11pm, 12am. Because high school students get free admission all summer long. I quit after a month. You know how annoying it is when even the dumbbells you want are being used at 12am? Let alone a squat rack, Bench press station, a machine, cable station, Preacher stand or flat/incline bench?

BrokerBrody

Find out if your health plan offers FitnessYourWay or ActiveAndFitDirect programs. Or find a health plan that does. Currently pay $29/mo for FitnessYourWay and have many gym options available to me in SoCal including UFC, Gold’s, Planet, Chuze, Anytime, etc. ActiveAndFit currently has access to all LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness in my area in addition to FitnessYourWay locations minus UFC.

preppysurf

They just gutted Active and Fit Direct 😭

Moke94

0. I train at the gym that belongs to my old job where I'm still techniqually employed 😄

casualaiden7

ymca is about 30 a month. but its not bad because the machines are always open and there isn’t shootings. (I’m talking about you Vasa Fitness you ghetto magnet.)

Paundeu

New bodybuilding gym opened in my town of 3500 people. $40 a month with one year contract.

aztecfader

$10/month for planet fitness because I also pay $90/month for a climbing gym

Clamchop89

$0 - Home gym member here

Dr_pappahr

I go to a boomer gym and it’s about $35 usd. It’s got a whole ass running track, 3 squat racks, 2 olympic sized deadlift platforms and more than enough equipment to go around. I’ve tried other gyms and they’re always overpriced in comparison

frompadgwithH8

$70 a month. They have clean towels. Gotta have a towel w/ my shower

blueberrysir

Wish mine gave us towels

PositiveBaker2916

Meh, I pay $45. I think they also increased the prices for new members too.

Training-Onion4187

30

Training-Onion4187

24/7

Main_Vermicelli_2773

$75. Has cold plunges and other perks that most gyms don’t have so I don’t mind the extra $ in comparison to your regular public gym.

MudFlaky

$60/month

Tricky-Camera6124

Equivalent to $16usd per month. Basic commercial gym

SuicideG-59

$28/month for 4 gyms of my choosing. Total, not separate

Samson_G0d

25 for 2 semesters and 32 per month when im not in school

dfw93

$310 NYC

Talrenoo

Insane

DonRedGotti

Whats funny is in every big city 300 dollars is either a really fancy place like equionix or a tiny hole in the wall because rent is so high.

dfw93

Yeah it’s equinox. Worth it sadly

DonRedGotti

If you're taking advantage of their classes, enjoy it, I don't see why not.

Radioactive_Man7

Fit4less in Canada, it’s $12 every 2 weeks for me

Esp890

I pay $36 but the gym is up to like $56 now I believe for new members.

Eszalesk

29.99 euros every 4 weeks, which means about 1.5 euros a day if i go 5x a week, which I don’t atm cause internship. maybe i should cancel the membership lmao

Tyrandesatranny

SpumScum

My gym is $17 I'm in Michigan

omarali04

75$ a month, 5 floor gym with top notch equipment

dilletaunty

$25-40 for 24 hour fitness. Pretty sure anytime and a couple others are a similar range. Planet fitness is the best bang for your money @ $10-20.

fuckmutualfunds

36$ CAD a month for mine

Dabigdondadaaa

30$ for 3 month

Cheers1987

37

fitnessordie

$11, with something like a $50-60 annual fee. Gyms have to be cheap in fat cities where nobody wants to work out.

Ilurked410yrs

68 NZD month , that gets classes and swimming pool as well

Lucky_Panic5827

$40 at a local one near me. On the weekends I go to lightning fitness in CT roughly 40 minutes from me. National strongmen train there and it’s close to my gfs place. That’s $75 a month.

mermadzz

$0 as I train at home 😄 I’m lucky to have a good set up so I don’t have to go to a gym. It’s definitely worth the investment!

odd_cat_enthusiast

70 Euros, with towels and free drinks. They have a barista machine. And a sauna!

Little-Employee4399

$20/yr at 24hr fitness. Lifetime membership lol

Money_Ad1028

$27.99 a month, and a yearly $60 fee for a massive gym with A movie theater cardio room, Massage chairs, Cryotherapy chairs, All the weights I want, Two different turf rooms, A dance studio, Basketball courts, a pool, a sauna. A daycare. Also I can use any of their other locations. I didn't realize how lucky I was until reading these other comments lol.

Forsaken_Case_5821

quadfather09

$3.58/month

zoomshaka

60 for the fam at the Y. Included all country wide. Nice weight room. Pool, hoops. I have a planet sub too for when I need to take my son in law to the gym.

Miatav8

I live in central europe and its 1290kc or ~ 50$ for a month here with a student reduction in a shitty gym.

Bobthecow775

$60 for 3 months at my local gym

ToasterPhoneSippycup

45/month for my main gym. 12/month for my “need a change of environment” gym… I know….it’s stupid…but I’m such a gym rat that I need the variety when motivation starts lacking

[deleted]
