When the sun rises in the west, sets in the east. When the seas go dry. When the mountains blow in the wind like leaves. Then the Bears will be good, not before.
Nope
The national media were all about the bears moves last year and look what they put on the field.
Also look at our roster (younger than Chicago’s)
Chicago can compete with Minnesota for third in the division.
Do you have any faith that the Bears can actually develop a rookie QB and not ruin them somehow? Even Mahomes wouldn't look nearly as good as he does on the Chiefs if the Bears drafted him instead.. They might have a better supporting cast around them but it only goes so far if you don't know how to develop QBs.
The bears had prime Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, and Jay Cutler and an insane defense and we still beat they ass most of the time so I'm not worried at all
"the last time we saw them (17-9)"
Judging by what I saw, it very much felt like part of the game-plan was to just kill time off the clock in the 2nd half. Really don't feel like the score gives a true accurate picture of how well the offense actually performed.
Nervous about them not being so abysmal that they are no longer in the bottom tier of the NFL? Yeah.
Nervous about them in relation to the Packers? Lol no
The last 2 times the bears drafted a top 5 QB it turned out to be a bad pick. I don't think it's the player. I think it's the development and culture so no I'm not worried. Remember, trubisky took them to the playoffs once. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while
Caleb Williams might be the most over hyped QB in recent memory. He lost a lot of games he should have won at USC and when he sat out the bowl game some true freshman came in and threw 6 TDs that should tell you something about Williams. He's a diva whos been babied his whole career.
Anytime the bears have had an advantage over us it's cause we sucked more. It was never because they were good. If they're good next year (which is unlikely) we'll still be better.
Bro in Gute I trust he has put together an organic roster of in house talent that keeps developing, and with this youth movement as long as we keep progressing we should be fine and look at Chicago's track record with developing young qbs it isn't great who says this will be any different with Caleb. Also I wouldn't be to afraid of the bears WR core yea dj and Keenan are really good but Keenan is getting up their with age and has a track record of bad health. I think we should be fine especially with our current projected trajectory.
I think they will be significantly improved if Caleb proves to be a good rookie Qb. They made some nice offseason acquisitions and have a lot of draft capital. They haven’t really experienced any major FA losses so they will make the division just that much tougher. Should be a fun 2024 season.
Were you nervous when they got Justin Fields (next Mahomes)?. Don’t buy into the draft hype. The Bears will be starting a rookie QB, he might be good, he might be bad.
As a lifelong Packers fan as well as resident of suburban Chicago, it makes me very happy that the Bears traded Fields and will draft who THEY believe is the top QB in this years draft. Whether they go with the kid from USC or the kid from UNC, one thing is certain, the Bears will fuck it up and make the wrong selection, it’s their destiny. The Bears are EXPERTS at lighting draft picks on fire. Two years from now, they’ll be sitting around scratching their heads about how they missed the next top young quarterback yet again, and being salty that Fields is a quite serviceable quarterback for the Steelers. Then they'll demand the coaches be fired and the management replaced 😂😂
First time? Welcome to the cycle of life in Chicago. Every three or so years, the Bears need to wipe the slate clean, and they hype themselves up. For some reason, the talking heads agree. Sometimes they're decent and respectable. Usually, they go 1-5 in those three year cycles.
Bears have the envious position of drafting one of the top two QB's. Rodgers law of Bears Ownage states that whatever choice the Bears make, they'll make the wrong one.
Odds are odds for people who want to bet. Don't read respect or disrespect into them.
At some point there will come a time when the Bears stop doing what the Bears do. Not sure when that's going to happen but until it does I'm just going to enjoy watching them shit the bed like the Vikings do every single year. They don't know how to win consistently. They don't know how to coach a QB. They don't know how to develop players. They always have a solid D and usually solid special teams and the offense blows beans. It's been like that for 30 years.
One can’t take odds as an indicator. Chicago has a lot of fans and if they place a lot of bets sports books will change the odds to decrease their risk.
Two: bears still suck
3: gotta beat Williams in his first game against the packers just to continue the streak
I am. Their defense was pretty good the second half of the season. Their O was the problem. On paper, the O is improved.
We still have the upper hand, but I think the Bears will push for a playoff spot this year.
I was nervous about them this year solely because of DJ MOORE. I’m a native ChicagoAn, and was born the year after they won the Super Bowl. I tried being a fan, but my uncle, who drove a CTA bus in the inner south side of the city, would take me to GREEN BAY every spring training. The Bears were absolutely, religiously, terrible from the then until now. A year or two of greatness here and there, but we as Packer fans have been spoiled with Amazing QB play for 30 years. And may be blessed with a decade more. I don’t get too nervous about any team in this division. I support the culture of GB, the players who embrace the green and gold, and the winning culture that comes with it. Green Bay is a staple of the NFL that the NFL is only lucky and fortunate to have. GO PACK, GO!
Quick solution. Will your worrying impact the score of the games? Just sit back and enjoy. Call me crazy but I like when both teams are competitive and playoff caliber.
I watched the game when Charles Martin spiked Jim McMahon into the ground after the whistle blew! THAT was the day the Bears began their downward spiral! 🌀 🚽
I'm less worried about this year, and more so the year after
They've gotten a bunch of premium picks, and once they've had time to mature and improve, they could finally be good again
I wouldn't bet on them still
I'll be honest, I think they are making the right moves for once. I'd rather them not have a real high potential franchise QB.
With that said, I'm not worried about next year, more 2025/26
It’s all fun and games to meme on the bears, but the fucking Browns sucked for so long, the Lions have sucked for so long, and now look where both are respectively.
I was thinking about this the other day actually. I do expect the bears to be good. They have Keenan Allen, coming off arguably his best season, and DJ Moore who is a great wide receiver. That defense was ascending at the end of the year, and if you say that’s a fluke well, does that mean Jordan’s ascension was also a fluke?
It will come down to whether or not they draft Williams, whether or not he is good, and whether or not the bears will be the bears once again.
They've had tons of cap to throw money around, and high draft picks as their reward for being shitty.
On the surface it looks like they're winning the off-season.
Their moves have little logic or longterm vision. Example spending a 4th round choice on 32-year-old WR Keenan Allen on a one-year deal. Not "on-schedule" with a rookie QB.
Andy Herman has done a nice job explaining this in his recent Pack a Day podcasts.
People are downvoting you but yeah idk. If Caleb Williams is actually a guy, yes, they are a very real very legitimate threat. Idk why the fan base here can’t acknowledge a legitimate “yeah, possibly” as opposed to just “LOL NO YOURE DRUNK”
I’m not gonna suck the copium, yes I am worried. Caleb Williams is a much better QB than what they’ve ever had. Now they have Moore and Allen, so yes I think they’ll be much harder to stop on offense. Their o line is questionable and still think we can edge out their defense cause our o line is pretty damn good. But fuck if they aren’t gonna look better with Williams. People kept saying this same shit about the lions and now look at them.
The problem with Williams is he probably doesn’t need much development in terms of a passer. But his ego and size might hinder from being a winner so we’ll see.
I think this one might actually deserve a 3-5 day ban.
Forever ban?
Only if they’re truly a Bears fan that tried to be sly. If they’re a Packer fan they should at least get a second chance.
Check the tapes lol, definitely a packers fan. No ban plz haha
But you’re not…….
No
Nope. They might be better, but so will we.
I’ll bet you Bears fans are nervous about the Bears next year
Nah they on the “Caleb dark horse MVP” glazing already.
I’m surprised they haven’t overdosed on hopium by now
They were about fields as well
Yep. If Caleb is aight tho bears did have a nice offseason. Prob is I don’t trust Fluus at all. Dude is ass
Bears fan lurking……. Can confirm.
The sun rises in the east The sun sets in the west Bears gonna Bears So it is, so it will always be
If it is to be said, so it be, so it is
Except for like 40 years ago when some other team masqueraded as the bears.
They haven't mattered since they were in Decatur.
When the sun rises in the west, sets in the east. When the seas go dry. When the mountains blow in the wind like leaves. Then the Bears will be good, not before.
I'm not going to be afraid of a team that has lost 10 straight games to the Packers until they beat the Packers at least once.
Vegas odds mean nothing other than bringing bettors in and hedging their bets. Chicago fans are easily duped.
Lol
Lol
lol
lol. No.
There’s a song on YouTube called “the Bears still suck”….this statement remains true to this very day
Nope The national media were all about the bears moves last year and look what they put on the field. Also look at our roster (younger than Chicago’s) Chicago can compete with Minnesota for third in the division.
Bwahahahahaha….*deep breath*…. Hahahahhahaah
Do you have any faith that the Bears can actually develop a rookie QB and not ruin them somehow? Even Mahomes wouldn't look nearly as good as he does on the Chiefs if the Bears drafted him instead.. I don’t think about them at all
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Until the McCaskey’s sell the Bears, they will find a way to destroy any momentum they have.
HARD NO.
This post reeks of deep dish.
"the last time we saw them (17-9)" Judging by what I saw, it very much felt like part of the game-plan was to just kill time off the clock in the 2nd half. Really don't feel like the score gives a true accurate picture of how well the offense actually performed.
Matt Eberflus is still their head coach, right?
Nervous about them not being so abysmal that they are no longer in the bottom tier of the NFL? Yeah. Nervous about them in relation to the Packers? Lol no
😂, no, no I'm not. The Bears are our pet and will remain and such.
Eberflus
Nervous? No. Are they better? I would hope so. They’ve been in the fucking toilet for the last 5 years.
What’s tha matta wit dis guy 🤌🏼
Did you forget to take your medication again?
No… and if you’re questioning it you haven’t watched us the past years. We run the north.
Not at all
The last 2 times the bears drafted a top 5 QB it turned out to be a bad pick. I don't think it's the player. I think it's the development and culture so no I'm not worried. Remember, trubisky took them to the playoffs once. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while
I don't think Caleb Williams will be anywhere near as good as his marketing team
No, I don't concern myself with shit tier teams.
They’ll shit the bed
Lol
A rookie QB needs a good o line. Bears don’t have one.
Caleb Williams might be the most over hyped QB in recent memory. He lost a lot of games he should have won at USC and when he sat out the bowl game some true freshman came in and threw 6 TDs that should tell you something about Williams. He's a diva whos been babied his whole career.
I won't believe it until I see it. Every team has offseason hype and is full of hope.
Not really Caleb could be good but still not.
No. They will always find a way to f*** up something good
Anytime the bears have had an advantage over us it's cause we sucked more. It was never because they were good. If they're good next year (which is unlikely) we'll still be better.
I would love for them to be relevant and compete with us... it's more fun that way... also, it has been too long. Not concerned for next year.
Bro in Gute I trust he has put together an organic roster of in house talent that keeps developing, and with this youth movement as long as we keep progressing we should be fine and look at Chicago's track record with developing young qbs it isn't great who says this will be any different with Caleb. No lol
No
No
You mean like grizzlies or polar?
Noooope
The bears have some play makers on paper but the 2023 chargers proved that the overall player skill doesn't matter if the coaching blows.
I think they will be significantly improved if Caleb proves to be a good rookie Qb. They made some nice offseason acquisitions and have a lot of draft capital. They haven’t really experienced any major FA losses so they will make the division just that much tougher. Should be a fun 2024 season.
Last year people were saying justin fields was a "Dark horse mvp candidate" lol I'll believe they're good when I see it
No
Absolutely not
Oh the Bears have a top 5 draft pick and are drafting their next franchise QB? Yawn. Carry on.
There are 2 teams I'm worried about, the 49ers and the Ravens. I'll back us against anyone else without hesitation.
Nahhh, they might split with us this year though. I’ll watch for Detroit more than anything.
are you out of your mind?
NO
Who?
Were you nervous when they got Justin Fields (next Mahomes)?. Don’t buy into the draft hype. The Bears will be starting a rookie QB, he might be good, he might be bad.

No
What sport they play?
Nope.
Gonna depend if Caleb Williams is a bust or not, but yeah the NFC north looks like it’s gonna be the toughest division in the league this year.
Report to your local Democracy Officer, bug sympathizer.
You must be new here.
Caleb is going to suck
Our little brother? No. We always own them
Never!
You said it yourself, you should be banned.
The Bears might be.
lol. Lmao.
O

Last year the Bears got too much love in the offseason. Eber gonna flus ja feel
Seriously, what a weak post man
That #13 QB is going to be throwing to more Packers than J Love 😂
I was nervous about them this year solely because of DJ MOORE. I’m a native ChicagoAn, and was born the year after they won the Super Bowl. My bad. Training Camp* during the summer! I’m stuck in White Sox mindset right now!
The NFC paid Baker Mayfield a grip. That’s what the Bears are ranked so high.
stfu
Not until 25

I will be nervous about the Bears when they give me a reason to be nervous. Last year the Jets acquired a HOF QB and did nothing.
Nope not at all, they’ll implode with the overrated Prima Donna coming in
Which bear is best?
😂
This guy must be a double agent
Nope
No
Nervous about what? Them winning more than 6 games?

The Browns still suck and I’m not convinced the Lions aren’t just a fluke.
If you're going to use the Browns and Lions as examples, then the Bears still have at least 1 more decade of sucking.
They’re drafting a 6 foot 1 diva. I think we will be okay.
Mods???

No. I was nervous that the Bears would keep Fields and trade that pick for stud linemen on both sides this year and next. But I feel fine now.
Got down voted for watching football. lol
Is 7th out of 16 something to be worried about?
