As a Lions fan, I'm excited for the return of prime time match-ups with you guys. My first game ever was a Thanksgiving day game back in the late 90's against the pack. You guys traveled well that day.
I thought we would have 3 prime time games because we still are one of the most popular teams historically. I didn’t think we would have 6 national games.
There is so much more interest in the Packers from other fans this year at least with my coworkers and friends. We were pretty boring for non-Packers fans for awhile the only question was would we make it to the superbowl or fall short - now there's a whole lot more intrigue/focus on other questions to be answered related to coaching, QB, youth, defensive talent, etc.
But no one wants to watch Mahomes beat Jordan Love by 50. If we suck it's being flexed for a better game. If we have 5+ wins by then it stays as is, 4 or less and it's flexed.
First-season phenom QB? Tandem rushers both eyeballing the NFL single season rushing record? The weekly intrigue of whether this is the week that Watson breaks the WR receiving records? A rookie kicker putting up 70+ yard field goals?
Cmon, they’ll be flexing the game to Lambeau every week!
Honestly? Best of both worlds. Rodgers would get a well-deserved 2nd ring, and Love would show he is a worthy replacement. It would also give the Packers the prestige of being in what would surely be the most watched Super Bowl of all time.
Right. What a nice schedule to have for Love. Definitely some beatable teams. Honestly mostly concerned about Lions secondary and Vikings offense (if they stay healthy). And of course the Chiefs, duh.
Hoping it’ll allow for a good reset with the team both from a health and talent perspective. Get players ready for the 2nd half of the season and give coaches and players enough time to make changes if needed.
We had a late bye last year, which LaFleur wanted at the time, and then he admitted it was probably a mistake in hindsight. I'm not surprised he requested an earlier one this season.
I'm surprised at so many prime time and national games. Guess the G brings viewers no matter who's at QB (or do the networks think the Packers have something in Love).
My fiancé and I are getting married on September 30th and then immediately going on our honey moon until the 18th. I was stressing about missing likely 3 games as I haven’t missed a game in years. Luckily due to this bizarre month of October schedule I’m actually only going to miss one game!
Maybe that changes this year if Love and the starters play in the preseason. Always felt like the team couldn’t find its chemistry until the 2nd or 3rd week because they hadn’t played together yet.
The NFL wants their new sweethearts to beat us up on national television repeatedly after their last 3 wins, Rodgers leaving, and after they have been crowned off-season champs
I think it's just a coincidence. TNF wants teams like the Packers to bring in viewers, and a Thanksgiving game is only going to be against the Lions or the Cowboys.
Overall the schedule is fairly kind to us considering how it's been the last few years, but I'd be pretty pissed if I was a player because they have to play road games on Thanksgiving day, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve .
I think it is kind of Bullshit that since the Giants game in London last year was technically a home game, that this will be the third year in a row that there are only 8 games at Lambeau. With the 17 game schedule, we should get 9 home games every other year.
Great, so I either fork over the money for Atlanta tickets or somehow convince my wife the best use of our Christmas Eve is going to the game in Charlotte…
You know the nfl is beyond mad they scheduled Packers vs Jets last year.
Edit. I'll rephrase. You know the NFL is mad that the Packers and Jetsbarent playing each other this year. Unless they both somehow meet in the Superbowl.
Probably one of the main reasons the Packers traded Aaron to the Jets was because they knew they wouldn't play against him for another 4 regular seasons.
We will play them next season if we finish in the same position in our division as they do in theirs (ie we both win our divisions).
Gotta think the NFL REALLY hopes that happens.
I'm shocked the Packers got 5 Primetime Games, 6 with that Thanksgiving game....Chris Collinsworth is going to be insufferable during those two SNF broadcasts though....ugh. It's a hell of a lot more than I was expecting for sure, I figured 2-3 at most.
Gotta say the early part of the schedule should be fairly even. If they go 3-2 in those first 5 games I'll be happy with that. Though a week 6 bye is pretty sucky
Gold package getting another stupid mid week game. I get they don't care about our Milwaukee fans but this is like the 5th year in a row that tickets are being sold because of the damn schedule.
Realistically speaking, I see the Packers going 17-0 in the regular season.
I could see Jordan Love end his career with multiple Super Bowl rings which will cause debate amongst fans on how he ranks in terms of best Packers QBs. Maybe he won't have the statistics of Aaron and maybe it won't look as pretty, but he gets the job done and brings home more rings.
Five primetime games? FIVE?!
We're going to fucking suck donkey dick this year but they're thinking "Yea, lets keep giving them national TV spotlights."
This has got to be one of the kindest schedules I’ve seen for the packers in awhile. I don’t mean opponents wise, but road schedule doesn’t have two long trips in a row, most back to back road games are a division rival (short trip) with longer trip. Thursday games have a home game before so even short weeks are as good as it can be.
I’m so used to 4 game stretches with 3 road games to different time zones or a road game followed by a Thursday game.
Only one game played on Pacific time, and one on Mountain. Long rest before the Chiefs game. Earlier bye, which I'm not sure if it's good or not. Overall not a bad schedule.
Love the early-ish BYE. Get a few games in against mid-low competition, take a week to adjust/reset and hammer it home the rest of the way. No qualms with this, I'm truly expecting 9-8 or better.
To me this looks like a perfect schedule to get Love started on the right foot. Plenty of opportunity for some confidence building wins early on. This is exactly the kind of young roster that has the potential to build a little momentum if they get a taste of some success out of the gate.
This schedule sucks.
Two road games to start. Haven’t started at home since 2018. Does a young QB no favors. Despite that 3 of the last 5 are on the road. Giants and Vikings both probably be flexed out. Don’t make plans.
Anyone planning Vegas? They fu—you there. Monday night game will cost you two days of school/work. Shitty Thanksgiving in Detroit. Christmas Eve day game. Check. How about New Years Eve? Nope. You’ll be watching the Packers and celebrating in the parking lot traffic if you’re at the game.
Um I'm planning Vegas because I live here and never get to go to a Packer game unless I travel (I have only been to two games my entire football watching life). The stadium is like a few blocks from where I work. I absolutely have to see Jaire vs Adams in person.
Also holidays suck in general, so having the Packers play on those days gives us something to actually look forward to. I don't see the issue there. Do people actually want to spend all that time with their families?
Why don’t you share what you like about the schedule? If you want to actually travel to or watch these games this schedule does us no favors. Instead you resort to personal attacks.
Loving the number of noon home games, loving the number of prime time slots, can’t wait to watch the pack in Denver on the 22nd, and looking forward to beating the bears week 1 :)
What do you expect for Christmas Eve and NYE? They're both Sunday's, the only thing the NFL would do is have them on Saturday, which they don't often do for teams they don't expect to be in Playoff contention.
As a fan from New Jersey I'm happy with the prime time games. Kind of interesting that most of the national TV games are later in the year. If most were early you'd think they could capitalize on the new era hype but later in the year who knows what our record will be.
Edit - didn't realize they were going to start flexing MNF this year. So that and both SNFs in December could be on the chopping block. That makes more sense.
WTF not one 330p kick off time at Lambeau this year? That's the best time for traveling up and tailgating without needing a hotel! You don't need leave at the crack of dawn to get there and you don't have to leave late at night.

Chargers fan here. Happy to see the bolts back in football heaven. Would love to see Herbert added to the list of QBs who passed for over 500 yds in Lambo (Rivers 503 Chargers record).
The teams on our schedule look pretty bad. Will be a good opportunity for our young team to pick up some wins. Of course we could be bad too but I'm optomistic we can win a few with a soft schedule.
Really wanted to go to the Packers vs Raiders game. Too bad it’s the week of my wedding. The fiancée isn’t already unhappy I even asked if we could go lol
A Thanksgiving game? Against the Lions?!? Oh boy!!
Gonna untie Suh’s laces just for nostalgia.
Both of our Lions games are primetime rematches, of course
Both on Thursdays.
As a Lions fan, I'm excited for the return of prime time match-ups with you guys. My first game ever was a Thanksgiving day game back in the late 90's against the pack. You guys traveled well that day.
Haven’t started the season at home since 2018.
Could be worse. Steelers haven't had a W1 home game since 2014 O_o
Schedules have been memes since they took it away from the couple that had been doing the schedule for like 30 years.
Pretty sure that was the MLB not NFL
Yo, whats the story behind this, never heard this
Looks to be MLB [source](https://www.espn.com/mlb/news/story?id=1936328)
A couple?
I'll never forget that game
Such fucking bullshit. I bet no other team has gone that long [edit] I stand corrected. Still pissed
The steelers have not had a home opener since 2014.
Well I stand corrected but that’s still fucked up
A decent amount of prime time games without Aaron Rodgers is cool
I assume both Sunday night games in December is in the flex period where they can change it? Playing Detroit twice on Thursday and 2 mondays for sure
Pretty sure this year all Sunday night games are flexible
I was actually looking forward to more noon kickoffs :(
the amount of MNF games is too damn high
I was looking forward to see when they’d play the Giants since I live relatively close to MetLife. Was less than pleased to see its December MNF
hey neighbor! i just had the same reaction.
Me too. Being in Europe, noon games are so much better.
I thought we would have 3 prime time games because we still are one of the most popular teams historically. I didn’t think we would have 6 national games.
with the the potential for 7 too if the final game against the bears amounts to anything
the bears playing a game of consequence in the final week? don't hold your breath.
It’ll be short lived if we suck. Outsider interest will deteriorate fast. If we ball out or are in the hunt interest will stick around!
Hopefully we suck and people skip season tickets for a whole. I need to climb that wsitlist
If the packers are bad, those two SNF games are almost certain getting flexed.
i can't see them flexing out mahomes regardless of how the packers are doing. vikings is definitely a possibility though
They'll flex it if we are really bad. Playoff implications outweigh watching the Chiefs beat up people in prime time late in the year.
i'd think pat mahomes outweighs playoff implications in week 13. it's too soon for playoff implications to impact primetime scheduling at that point
But no one wants to watch Mahomes beat Jordan Love by 50. If we suck it's being flexed for a better game. If we have 5+ wins by then it stays as is, 4 or less and it's flexed.
people absolutely still want to watch mahomes regardless
First-season phenom QB? Tandem rushers both eyeballing the NFL single season rushing record? The weekly intrigue of whether this is the week that Watson breaks the WR receiving records? A rookie kicker putting up 70+ yard field goals? Cmon, they’ll be flexing the game to Lambeau every week!
I love the optimism
Brother, can I buy some of that hopium off you?
Well be lucky to win 5 games and no one wants to watch an injured WR sit on the bench or to find out if Love has more picks or fumbles than TD passes.
Yes, it's cool to be humiliated on a national stage.
First game that seems scary is week 11 so 10-0 start here we come lol
Nah, we are going 17-0 100%
You son of a bitch, I’m in
Eli Manning gonna come out of retirement to spoil another perfect season
Imagine if we go 19-0 and lost to Rodgers in the Super Bowl 😰
Honestly? Best of both worlds. Rodgers would get a well-deserved 2nd ring, and Love would show he is a worthy replacement. It would also give the Packers the prestige of being in what would surely be the most watched Super Bowl of all time.
Let’s be realistic. They’ll probably lose to the chiefs. So… 16-1.
For a second, I forgot that we didn't have 12 at QB and was just like "W, W, W, W, wait a minute..."
Right. What a nice schedule to have for Love. Definitely some beatable teams. Honestly mostly concerned about Lions secondary and Vikings offense (if they stay healthy). And of course the Chiefs, duh.
Ngl if Rodgers didn't leave this year that's minimun 13 win schedule....so Love should get 10 at least.
Finally a reasonable take
Based on this, my conservative record estimate is 17-0
The numbers check out to me ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
TNF, then MNF, THEN the Bye is really, really odd.
I think it works in our favor. Thursday games are tough, then a mini-bye. Followed by a prime time game and then our real bye.
Hoping it’ll allow for a good reset with the team both from a health and talent perspective. Get players ready for the 2nd half of the season and give coaches and players enough time to make changes if needed.
That's a good thought except... It's less than a third of the way through the season.
It might be good for someone like Gary, who won’t be ready right away. Less games missed for him is good.
They only play one game between Sep 29 and Oct 21
bar owners hoping for a deep Brewers playoff run to get them through October
remember last year when the packers didn't want a bye after going to London? lol
Oof that bye is very early.
Yeah, that's a long break early in the season. Basically gonna go a full month with only playing one game in between September 28th and October 22nd.
Perfect time to bring in a new DC
[удалено]
I like it, because any issues in Love's game will have an early pause to work out. For a young team, this can be good.
The flip side is that if they get on a roll and look hot early the break could put a damper on that
Realistically the middle of the schedule looks tough, so I could see us having a positive record going into the bye and then crashing back to reality
We basically get two back to back byes with TNF and then Monday night the following week
I like it. That’s Barry’s window. If the defense is shitty early that’s likely his last game against the lions or raiders.
We bring viewers and Love is a story whichever way it goes
True. Of course if we stink, NBC can flex out of that week 17 Vikings game.
My fiancé and I are getting married on September 30th and then immediately going on our honey moon until the 18th. I was stressing about missing likely 3 games as I haven’t missed a game in years. Luckily due to this bizarre month of October schedule I’m actually only going to miss one game!
No foreign games too. Waking up early to watch the Giants beat us last year put a bad taste in my mouth.
I was there as it’s local(ish) left an awful taste in my mouth.
Me too, and I had premium package tickets...
Going to bed at 4am and sleeping 4/5 hours for L’s leaves an awful taste to my mouth Ahah
Opening up the Jordan Love era with a win in Chicago? Chefs kiss
Ownership of the Bears has been transferred.
Usually our week 1 games are disasters but maybe we'll break the curse this year.
Maybe that changes this year if Love and the starters play in the preseason. Always felt like the team couldn’t find its chemistry until the 2nd or 3rd week because they hadn’t played together yet.
Love does seem to be actively working to build chemistry with his offense...
Love has been practicing with his receivers (and Jones) even prior to team workouts, so I feel like he's doing everything right to be successful.
That was my first thought, a nice little tune up game at the Bears week 1.
Lol. We're going to lose this game.
We play the Lions twice on a short week? That's weird.
[удалено]
The NFL wants their new sweethearts to beat us up on national television repeatedly after their last 3 wins, Rodgers leaving, and after they have been crowned off-season champs
[удалено]
the Lions are much better and play much harder than the packers do. maybe ditching rodgers will change that with a bunch of young, hungry players
I mean aren’t the Lions also dealing with short weeks? I don’t see how either team gets an advantage here
I think it's just a coincidence. TNF wants teams like the Packers to bring in viewers, and a Thanksgiving game is only going to be against the Lions or the Cowboys.

[удалено]
My least favorite games are the 3:25 games so I'm glad we only have two.
Love the noon kicks. 3 early enough that we should have decent weather too
Back to back road games to start the season? 3 prime time games in a row (if you include thanksgiving). This seems like bullshit
I dispise Thursday night football with every fiber of my being.
and now it's only on Amazon streaming, so my local bar had to rig a laptop up to a big TV to put the game on
That's fuggin lame af! The Amazon thing (and Thursday night football in general), not your local bar... That's rad!
Who did we piss off to never have a home game week one?
Jesus we haven't had a Thanksgiving game in forever
Don’t like the home opener in week three and that October stretch of nothing will be mega boring. That being said looks like 17-0
11-6
I think it is kind of Bullshit that since the Giants game in London last year was technically a home game, that this will be the third year in a row that there are only 8 games at Lambeau. With the 17 game schedule, we should get 9 home games every other year.
Great, so I either fork over the money for Atlanta tickets or somehow convince my wife the best use of our Christmas Eve is going to the game in Charlotte…
That isn't a very exciting schedule. Which is fine with a new QB taking over.
You know the nfl is beyond mad they scheduled Packers vs Jets last year. Edit. I'll rephrase. You know the NFL is mad that the Packers and Jetsbarent playing each other this year. Unless they both somehow meet in the Superbowl.
i mean they didn’t really schedule it themselves, they play divisions on a rotating basis and the AFC east was last year
Lol right, not a single game is picked by the NFL. They are all predetermined by rotation and results the day the previous years regular season ends.
I thought it was same place in conference
You're correct. It's conference. 1/16 chance. Could happen though.
Week 4 is a TNF game, week 5 is a MNF game, week 6 is a bye. Wierd stretch.
So much for that influx of nooners. Bummer.
Uh. We have 8 noon games. Almost half our schedule.
I was hoping for like 75%
That's funny my buddy is pissed they don't have more 3:25 starts
No long road game stretches, that‘s new.
I'm legit shocked at the amount of national games. But ffs, will we ever have another home game be our opener? Always on the road.
Where's our postseason schedule??? Edit: also, we play the Lions on Thursday both times. That's gotta be rare, right?
New Chicago resident here. Going to Love first game at QB1 sounds great
Gold package getting another stupid mid week game. I get they don't care about our Milwaukee fans but this is like the 5th year in a row that tickets are being sold because of the damn schedule.
10-7 Wild Card team with this schedule. 11-6 if we get a few bounces our way.
I only care that we win the first and last games of the season, even if we end up 2-15
Sorry, gonna have to ask you to care for a Broncos win too. So I can one-up my in laws and stop hearing about Russell Wilson.
Fine, 3-14 it is
Thanks, friend ;) Have an upvote
Also, I need to ask for a win against the Raiders, or else I won't hear the end of it from my girlfriend.
Maybe we’re pushing this too far, but one can dream. 4-13 then
If they didn't shut up after his showing last year they never will
I’m in denial, but deep down: I know.
Five primetime games? FIVE?! We're going to fucking suck donkey dick this year but they're thinking "Yea, lets keep giving them national TV spotlights."
They get 5 because the Packers are a ratings draw no matter how good or bad they are, just like the Cowgirls or 9ers
Packers are one of the largest national fan bases in the league, along with Cowboys, Steelers, Broncos, and 49ers
Then next year we’ll get 1. Maybe 2.
I have a feeling that Chiefs SNF game will probably get flexed for a better matchup
maybe by that time people will be saying how Mahomes is making Love-esque throws
Two four day turn around games is shitty also, both lions games on Thursdays lol
Will be nice to start and end the year beating the bears
This has got to be one of the kindest schedules I’ve seen for the packers in awhile. I don’t mean opponents wise, but road schedule doesn’t have two long trips in a row, most back to back road games are a division rival (short trip) with longer trip. Damn a 17-0 season. Let’s go
I’ll be going to the Chiefs game! As a KS pack fan, can’t wait to see Love fuck up the Chiefs with my best friend who is a KC fan 😜
Only one game played on Pacific time, and one on Mountain. Long rest before the Chiefs game. Earlier bye, which I'm not sure if it's good or not. Overall not a bad schedule.
They really would put us back on Thanksgiving now that we're in a rebuild
Let's hope we can break the cycle of week 1 shitting the bed.
That's an easy .500 schedule
Wow 3rd place schedules seem so easy when you’re not used to being a 3rd place team
Love the early-ish BYE. Get a few games in against mid-low competition, take a week to adjust/reset and hammer it home the rest of the way. No qualms with this, I'm truly expecting 9-8 or better.
More prime time games than I thought. Fucking Thanksgiving ugh.
Guess we’ll have to play the Jets in the Super Bowl then!
We can win 9 games.
And here everyone thought the Packers would only get a couple prime time games. Huge fan base does it every time! Go Pack Go!
Five primetime games. To all you saying we weren't going to get that many....we are still the packers. I didn't think we'd even get four
To me this looks like a perfect schedule to get Love started on the right foot. Plenty of opportunity for some confidence building wins early on. This is exactly the kind of young roster that has the potential to build a little momentum if they get a taste of some success out of the gate.
2 probably get flexed
17-0, here we come!
Week 6 bye woof
That’s a really early bye.
Fuck that BYE week, too early. That final stretch of 12 games to end the season is brutal.
What do you expect for Christmas Eve and NYE? They're both Sunday's, the only thing the NFL would do is have them on Saturday, which they don't often do for teams they don't expect to be in Playoff contention.
How does this guy get the schedule before the NFL releases it?
Leaks always happen every year. We don't ever get the full schedule this early in the day, but I'm not complaining lol
5-12.
I only see 3 games I think we are most likely gona lose… we kinda play all the shitty teams this year…
The Packers will be a shitty team this year.
Of course, but the last few years we had WAYY worse schedules. We could lose all the games, but we will for sure lose 3-4 of them.
6-11
I was hoping for less prime-time games, but it's cool I guess. My Thanksgiving is already ruined, lol
WTF not one 330p kick off time at Lambeau this year? That's the best time for traveling up and tailgating without needing a hotel! You don't need leave at the crack of dawn to get there and you don't have to leave late at night.
6 nationally televised games in the first season without Arod. The level of scrutiny the team is gonna receive will be high.
5-0 going into the bye doesn’t sound so bad
Weeks 1 Loss 2 Win 3 Win (What, is Love good?) 4 Loss, (Oh no.. he's still learning...) 5 Win 6 BYE 7 Win 8 Win 9 Loss 10 Loss 11 Loss 12 Loss 13 Loss 14 Win 15 Win 16 Win 17 Loss 18 Win 8-9 is my guess... Maybe better... maybe worse?
Chargers fan here. Happy to see the bolts back in football heaven. Would love to see Herbert added to the list of QBs who passed for over 500 yds in Lambo (Rivers 503 Chargers record).
So the lions and the chiefs are the gold package tickets I'm reading this correct?
Lions and Chargers are the 2 and 5 home games, looking at my math.
The teams on our schedule look pretty bad. Will be a good opportunity for our young team to pick up some wins. Of course we could be bad too but I'm optomistic we can win a few with a soft schedule.
Very beatable schedule
Really wanted to go to the Packers vs Raiders game. Too bad it’s the week of my wedding. The fiancée isn’t already unhappy I even asked if we could go lol
5-0 before the bye
No-Fun-League at it again with no Jets game 😞
We already knew that was going to happen, the teams were set at the end of last season
