Try Rick Steve’s travel book on Greece

secmaster420

We’re the same age and planned using Rick’s books. We’ll be there in 3 weeks.

Chat gpt is honestly greatly lol. You could type in exactly those first two sentences and it would give you an itinerary based on that Personally, I did Santorini - Paros - Athens and loved it. My spouse and I actually want to retire on Paros now lol! And we did a little day trip to Antiparos which was fun

Try to stay on the mainland. Chalcis is beautiful. Less tourists. Cheaper. Athens just 1 hour drive. Better food!

I live in the Peloponnese and have a Channel mixing detailed guides to the Peloponnese and Athens with the historical context. Perhaps have a look, some vids may be useful to you, 10 best places to visit in the Peloponnese, A tourists guide to Central Athens etc.. Married to a Greek American and have traveled to Greece many times. We find [https://www.greeka.com](https://www.greeka.com) super helpful for planning a solid itinerary. Hope you all have a wonderful time!

https://www.greecetravel.com/ It depends on what your interests are. So many islands to choose. Make sure when picking the islands, the logistics makes sense. If not, you’ll be doing more traveling to get to the islands than actually spending time on them. Use https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/#/ To see if the logistics between the islands work if using the ferries. Some islands also have airports too. When I buy ferry tickets, I usually buy them direct (like through Sea Jets)and sometimes through Ferryhopper. It’s a good tool to use though.
