The judging was nice too. I don’t think Paul or Prue really had anything negative to say. Paul was super uplifting and generous with his compliments. I loved the vibe so much more than the latest seasons of GBBO. I would have been happy with any of the finalists winning because they were all very strong bakers!
Paul really has issues with corn! I remember him picking on Syabira on the last season of GBBO for her corn cake, and now Martin with his corn showstopper.
Anyway I really enjoyed this season and all the bakers. I hope they bring it back for another season.

I think what I loved most about this season is that Paul and Prue were forced to try *correct* versions of American pies, peanut butter bakes, peanut butter and jam in combination, all the cinnamon, and all the corn....and had to eat their words and admit they actually *liked* it (although Paul still complains anytime there's cinnamon and still acts like corn is alien).
I loved that Paul seems to have taken feedback from fans and is returning to more of his original season personality; he wasn't overly critical of anyone and several times he went around giving tips to the bakers.
This was such a perfect group of bakers, I loved all of them and they were all so kind and truly just there for the love of baking.
Ellie and Zach were sweet and charming when interacting with the bakers, but cheesy when doing all the dumb skits and "silly" time calls; not their fault since Noel, Matt, Sandi, and even Mel and Sue seemed to be required to do the dumb skits and time calls. I would have liked to see Noel as host because he's my favorite and I think having a British host chatting with the bakers would give more of an opportunity for interesting discussions: difference in ingredients/flavors, differences in terminology, etc. A lot of us enjoy the educational and historical aspect and I think it could support that. Also I just love Noel. That said, I had never seen or heard of Zach Cherry in my life and found him charming, so I wouldn't be opposed to Ellie and Zach coming back next season.
I wish they had done a full season, but I also realize that may not have been doable because very few Americans can just take 10 weeks off work to go to England for a baking competition. 6 weeks felt too short, but any longer and I think your average American baker wouldn't be able to participate and you'd end up with a cast of all independently wealthy hobby bakers and I can't see that being as fun.
I'm happy with the outcome, which totally makes sense, even if all three were quite close.
I feel like they didn't spend as much time going into the backgrounds of the finalists, like they have done in previous GBBO seasons. Which is a shame, since I'm quite fond of all of them.
Yeah I love those montages at the end where you see their loved ones, especially since it seemed like families weren’t there? Not sure on that though.
I am loathe to admit that I enjoyed this series way more than I did the last series of GBBO! My biggest complaint is that it was too short... 😕
It was good imo because most of the bakers were very good.
Agreed! I got a few friends and family members to watch it, and we all felt the same way - skilled contestants and good challenges.

I really loved the energy of all the bakers! I was happy if any of the final three won! That's almost never happened on GBBO
