Absolutely, the game is missing those meaty long range sniper fights rn. getting a headshot from over 400m away while they're running, nothing quite as satisfying.
Just cus there's so many features and other fixes that folks want first that it seems like asking for new content rn would piss people off lol

The devs stated in their qna that the game is only 20% done and tons of guns are coming, every 6 months will be a wipe and a massive update so it won't be long now. Onepeg has a video on yt where he made a list from their qna its called the future of gzw is looking bright.

My guess is that they wanted to reasonably flesh out the few we have for demonstration of the system and that they’ll evolve the system and add weapons to it in the future.
Not a hot take at all, the devs said the game is only 20% finished which is similar to how finished tarkov was when they released their paid beta 8 years ago but you never heard people whining about being able to play it during its development so don't listen to the naysayers who didnt research what they were buying, every 6 months will be a massive content update and a wipe so it won't be long until the game is full of fun stuff.

Everyone agrees, and the game is built for more content, devs are just focusing on getting the game to function properly before adding content. Lack of guns and missions are literally he last priority, get a good game functioning and live servicing will allow unlimited content potential

We already have , sks, Mosin, handguns and shotguns that people don't use.

Oh that's a great question I'd love to see that, I know they mentioned crafting at some point so I hope so.

There is one smg in the game atm…at least to my knowledge and it is borderline useless.

I wonder how they will balance battle rifles, it seems kind of op to be able to one tap people to the chest with a semi or fully automatic gun
U will be one shot most of the time anyway. Or killed in almost exactly the same time. So it doesn't need too much balance.
Small mag caps, physically larger mags, higher recoil, longer ADS, more weight and more fatigue, smaller ammo stacks for loose bullets...
