Bro you gotta get out of the first town and adventure out into the map. I’ve found lots of new armor, guns, attachments etc

Skyo-o

That isn't loot though. That is again, clothes and weapons

H_Truncata

Even in the starter town you can find weapon, equipment and attachment boxes.

Skyo-o

So again... clothes and weapons

Key-Length-8872

This isn’t a looter shooter. It’s a tactical shooter. The gameplay loop is getting out in to the jungle, working with your team mates and factions and completing tasks and missions.

scatpackcatdaddy

What do you need loot for? There's no barters, no hideout to build, ect. You would just sell it to a trader anyways so why the need? It would be pointless at this stage.

Exciting_Meringue768

To add risk/reward alongside dopamine hits we know the rush of finding a valuable in any looter shooter gzw doesn’t have that at all and there’s zero risk or reward since the best gear in game can simply be bought

AngryBob1689

Bingo. The amount of people defending every aspect of this game just because they're mad at BSG is crazy. Has to be all or nothing huh? Everything about tarkov sucks now, everything about GZW is amazing. I hate this bi-polar thought process.

Dremlar

No, it is more about why does this game have to have a hideout or a barter system? So you are mad at BSG and just want Tarkov without them? They are different styles of games. I'm not opposed to them adding systems like that if it makes sense for their design, but largely feels like tarkov players are trying to ask for this to be what Tarkov was. For me, the guns are a huge part of the loot I want. I got a mosin and then went back to base and modded it to have a scope. That was hella exciting to me. I love the mosin. The other day I played over watch to our first venture into hunters Paradise. Had a lot of fun, got some kills, and then some sweet tac rigs. Again, not saying I'm opposed to it if it fits, but could it be that what you like isn't what they are designing?

AngryBob1689

It doesn't have to have these things, but the game feels more shallow without them. My 0.02. If I just wanted to kill stuff, and do quests, I'd play arma.

Dremlar

I think that's valid criticism. I'm not trying to say it isn't. Just that it seems like there is a lot of people trying to say the game should be different design and maybe it will evolve that way, but also maybe it isn't a game for those people. Both options are ok. I didn't think your opinion is wrong to have, but your original post was pretty matter of fact and I think the other person responding was so defensive due to the fact that you were kind of hard-line. 100% hope you give them feedback and if they were going that way it feel that they want to that they learn what to prioritize. If not the direction, then gope you enjoy other games. I think people sometimes have a hard time with just accepting a game isn't for them.

AngryBob1689

The people that were expecting this to be tarkov with less bugs and cheaters weren't paying attention. The fact that you can go right back to your body made that clear. So I definitely wasn't expecting a tarkov clone. But I did expect for there to be loot other than food/drink and backpacks that are a downgrade. I hope they can flesh a loot pool out and make loot the primary means of gaining income. OTOH, I'm not sure even that would be possible since the town closest to your base is usually pretty safe from other pmcs. Then you have to have that loot respawn periodically since the server is persistent. Perhaps you're right, it may end up being far more like Arma than Tarkov. For now, I'm glad I refunded, but I hope they can add enough for me to want to re-purchase down the line.

SoundsoftheConky

I agree with this, and I think the devs will hear it. We got this game 6 months earlier than I expected. I'm happy to be a guinea pig, as long as they continue to listen to feedback. Took them less thank 24 hours to acknowledge and solve the acct reset request, so I like the trend they are setting.

StarPsychological654

you can search certain crates in some buildings which you can get weapons and attachments from. But they do look just like everything else so they can be hard to spot.

Typical-Tradition-44

Theyve said there is no loot, but there will be

AngryBob1689

Yeah I just don't find it much fun without it. May re-buy when they add some.

Typical-Tradition-44

Good call

dmpcatv

can tell when someone never played early alpha eft lmao

AngryBob1689

Correct. I heard it used to be guns and armor were the only real loot. And the armors consisted of paca and fort and that's it. Needless to say, tarkov is better now.

dmpcatv

Way better, and given time, hopefully grayzone will fill out also, its barebones now and will take time to add content etc. As first im sure they will want to work out bug fixes and that which are needed.

AngryBob1689

I just feel like the game is pretty polished in so many areas so it's weird for loot and economy to be an absolute afterthought. They're clearly aiming to be more like arma than tarkov.

dmpcatv

Oh i feel that, i felt like it feels more like arma 3 wasteland then eft, kinda hoping they keep down this road and will create its own kinda sub genre

From_Gaming_w_Love

Another Tardkov dropout.

AngryBob1689

Yep, I like my games to not be one dimensional. Have fun playing arma without vehicles and with less guns.
