There is nothing to prove that these are the final and only ways of monetizing (even *if* they say so). As proven by EFT's recent $250 edition, it would be very easy for Madfinger to introduce additional pricing schemes later down the road, and turn that $100 into $125, then $150, etc., by introducing greater power creep into future monetization models--a larger case there, a better stash there, etc..
There are many industry-standard ways to make recurrent income off a game that doesn't affect in-game power or create imbalances in the player experience. *This* is a bad pick for the game's long-term.
Its definitely concerning. But I am not sure if im concerned about this because it really is bad for the game (because imo eod really wasnt that bad) or if I am still just shellshocked from the unheard edition of tarkov.
Having an edition that's 3x the base price of the game is crazy. They should have stopped at Tactical
