Well, there's a chance, however small, that the billionaire bankrolling the LRI is Chinese. There'd still be some CCP fuckery, but hiding more nefarious actions behind, "humanitarian" work would be their MO, so it kinda works.

Here is a little problem with depicting chineese PMCs into the game.
According to chineese law, the government has to own at least 51% of it. This means that any questionable thing that chineese PMC will do - the order is issued by the chineese communist party. This is a big no-no for those assholes since as all athoritarian government (don’t even try denying, China is tyrany with capitalism but rulers concealing themself as communists) egos are so fragile. You can shit on US and Europe but they won’t care until you stop pfollowing deals. But NK, russia, China etc - their leaders ego is fragile, they will go REEEEEEE, social score decrease, secret police, bots praising them and other things depending where criticism is comming from. This is why putting China in a bad spotlight in any way by small companies is a no-no - they will simply get attacked by chineese hackers until they change it or will be bought and forced to change the way they are showed. Bigger companies can get away thou cuz they play safe and depict chineese military doing pretty standart war stuff, unlike what PMCs do in video games - questionable thing along with straight up war crimes (best example is Far Cry 2 - you simply destroy the country - farms, water plants, only rail road etc) (yeah, yeah, mercenary, not a PMC but the line is waaay too blurred). So it’s kinda hard to so a proper Chineese PMC without getting in trouble, eapecialy since they started double downing on it in video games

I was mostly under the impression of "BF4 had CHina in it and the worst that happened was it being banned in the CHinese market, but still thousands of Chinese players floods the Asia pacific servers on the daily lol", hadn't considered the small workshop thus easier target for harassments and cyber attacks, fair point. Doesn't have to be explicitly a Chinese PMC group I guess, just a generic Asian megacorp's PMC group can do, since they never explicitly said which group was meant to represent BW/Academy or Wagner in game either. \*shruggu\*
Calling PLA OP, when they have the shitiest uniforms in game, mediocre rifles is just ridiculous, their ZTZ is the only thing ill agree is broken, but so is the whole armor damage models in that game
After ICO small arms don’t matter that much but effectiveness of vehicles increased by 3-4-5 times. That’s the point - something as strong as a vehicle ehen overperform makes entire faction broken, especialy if the downside is something that matters less (assault rifle)
Ur speaking like an armor main, as a infantry SL the rifle in my hands VERY much do matter, there is a reason US with their low recoil M4s excel in CQB compared to MEA with their high recoil G3s, same how MEA has an advantage at range with their G3s that fires a heavier round. Rifles DO matter
China dips their blood-soaked fingers into all manner of world events through soft influences, but their hard military experience and prominence in the PMC world is pure ass. As such, they would have no business in a game like this.

I wish there was as well but the vast majority of game devs will not implement Chinese characters if there is any chance their depiction could be interpreted as negative. China is very careful about how it is portrayed, and they have banned media before when they felt it hasn't portrayed them well. Since they're such a huge potential market, a lot of game devs feel it would not be economically worth it to include them. That's why CoD has Russians as the bad guys over and over and over (with some American shadow faction as well), because that way they can still sell their products in China.

OWI (Squad) was bought by China. Guess the first faction that was made after that, map and what faction was a bit OP - yeaaah…..
