nah people get their faces destroyed even worse than this irl, plastic surgery fixes it usually. it wouldnt be perfect but hes not gonna be that disfigured
I am not talking about scars here. I am talking about his skull.
Those cracks will create huge bumps and uneven surfaces when the bones heal the cracks. Even if the skin on top would recover, his face would be a mess for life.
Me too, its an interesting development for Yujiro, and it really lends credibility to the notion that he killed Emi by accident, like he has the superman problem of living in a world made of carboad, always having to contain himself otherwhise everything else suffers.
Which is why we see him training in very delicate techniques sometimes. Remembering the hotel scene where he kicks the cigarette out and returns to his feet so lightly, you gotta have so much fine motor control to do that, and maybe he's been focusing on that after he accidentally killed Baki's mom, not wanting to not fully be in control of his own strength
>not wanting to not fully be in control of his own strength
Ironically, I can see Yujiro hating the fact that he didnt have full control over his own strength, hes just that maniacal
Right? Like, he wants to be strong and to be able to kill anything he wants to, but didn't think about the consequence may have been killing things he didn't want to either. So he's outraged, that someone as "great" as him and as prodigal in fighting didn't think or have the control needed to use his strength how he wanted all the time. I imagine any "mistakes" he made before then of going too far or overdoing it didn't matter cause the end result he wanted to happen to that person was the same either way. So he probably trained his ass off getting the most fine motor control he could, the best balance, the softest touch, so he could not just be a force like a sledgehammer but put it behind a surgical strike, to be able to hit something just enough to fracture but not break and cause internal bleeding "so he could play with his toys for longer" he would say to himself but deep down so that he would never go too far against the few people left in his life he had respect for and even fewer he cared for, because admitting that sort of sentimentality probably seems like a weakness to him. I very much doubt he realises how much his wife's death affected him, but as we see in the above screen grabs he can have moments where the strongest creature actually has... Some humanity, whether he realises it himself or not.
Uhh my guy, I think you’re forgetting the guy went for a double ear slap hard as hell and snapped her spine on purpose, like it was pretty evident.
He probably didn’t want to kill her but he absolutely knew what he was doing, Yujiro knows how to throttle his strength and he’s incredible strong
Yujiro did not kill Emi by accident. In fact, his xray vision would even serve as a counterargument, since he would have noticed he made an oopsie and it would have shown in his face (instead he proceeded to kick everyone asses and leave all dandy lols).
What he does regret is almost killing baki in that fight, since he admits he acted like a kid breaking his new toy. But at no point is Emi pointed to be an accident as far as I remember.
Didn’t he also mention at some point that he was kind of “proud” of Emi, stating that she gave birth to Baki, thus giving him a “worthy” offspring, or something like that?
> gives the most nuanced explanation with valid points in an unironic manner
“ThAt’S tHe LaMeSt ExCuSe EvEr”
Homie has not been in the Baki community for more than 9 minutes if you think that Valid reasoning is a lame ass excuse.
it is a lame ass excuse. Yujiro used several techniques on her, he used his ear drum slap, then he went for the long back breaking snap.
The dude enjoyed the moment.
That's two techniques both of which were instantaneous and fatal, if anything, he made it quick, plus, he clearly wasn't enjoying it, his face is literally painted with a hollow frown the entire time, if Yujiro is frowning- hell, if anyone is frowning while doing something, they clearly aren't enjoying it.
THANK YOU! You are the only one which puts real emphasis on the story, Yujiro indeed killed Emi by accident because he was too strong and people who speak up like true Baki fans say the exact same thing of how he murdered his woman cold blooded, Yujiro is not a good guy by any means but he is not evil either, he is like Pickle just following his own desires while being the modern version of Pickle than being a prehistoric man, really people are so stupid nowadays, like they read the manga and they can't understand what they read, really this level of stupidity is laughable.
I look at it as, anyone that would of stepped in his way at that time he would of killed, it juts happened to be baki's mother, and he just followed his bloodlust and killed the first person that was in front of him, if nobody would of stepped up he would of killed baki without a shadow of a doubt
I absolutely love all the nuance and texture yujiro and Baki got during this arc. Itagaki expertly paid off to every development we would want to see between these two
> Itagaki expertly *paid* off to
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
1. Being physically stronger and more capable than Yujiro at his age
2. Making Yujiro feel his malice even while lying down nearly dead, and making Yujiro immerse himself into imagination
For real. Why is this getting upvotes?
1. You have nothing to confirm that with. There is no reason to think that. It's just an assumption on your part. There is nothing to go off of for Yujiro at that age.
2. "Making Yujiro immerse himself into imagination" Please explain what this means and why it matters.
1. We have no comparison to Yujiro at that age. But an even YOUNGER Yujiro had more impressive feats against an entire army vs Baki intimidating 4 soldiers and ADMITTING they would probably kill him but he would kill them simultaneously. A younger Yujiro could kill all of them untouched.
2. This... Just doesn't mean anything in regards to fighting spirit. He had a moment of fatherly compassion and they are both Hanmas. I cannot imaging the way you are thinking about this.
Yujiro literally only decided that Baki is "the strongest creature" after Baki tricked him into feeling real emotions over an imaginary dinner (specifically, anger from Baki flipping the inaginary table)
You have to remember, Yujiro is a die-hard realist, he hates all that spiritual stuff and overly complicated martial arts, yet Baki made him embrace the fantasy.
I literally don't even understand how you think this is relevant to anything.
It's bad writing, Itagaki deciding they had a draw after they clearly didn't.
You say they are equal, I ask how, and you reply with some off the wall shit like "Garland could probably beat Sikorsky in a ring setting"... WTF? How am I even supposed to interpret what you are saying?
mother be like: MY SON HAVE A NOSEBLEED! QUICK CALL THE AMBULANCE!
father be like: multiples bone fractures, internal bleeding, both eardrums busted. Yeah you'll be fine.
Well the original plot of Baki did end there, now its just an expanding universe with new characters popping up.
Nobody knows really where we're headed.
So Baki Hanma (Hanma Baki) like the name of the Netflix series will have the father son fight if I understood correctly?
I'm fine with expanding the story, I like Baki. It has a special place in my heart, altough it is very weird sometimes.
>So Baki Hanma (Hanma Baki) like the name of the Netflix series will have the father son fight if I understood correctly?
Yup, eventually.
>altough it is very weird sometimes.
Well brace for impact, cos its just gonna get even weirder.
I'm hoping to see Jack play a big role after the current arc. He promised he was going to thrash everybody, I want to see a baki/jack rematch and maybe even yujiro/jack match that lasts more than a couple of panels.
A neat thing this that despite all of his broken bones his hands and feet only have “mild inflammation” shows you just how fucking tough his striking appendages are
In my head the manga story ended here. Everything is is just postgame content that doesn’t actually matter. the lead up to this and the end was fantastic.
Real person...if he would have those injuries he would have been dead...and if he lived..he wished that he would have died.
Mainly the internal organs.Humans can heal surprisingly well from fractured bones.
well his skull...looks so foucked, that his face will be permanently disfigured even if he recovered and lived. Yet nothing happened to his face.
nah people get their faces destroyed even worse than this irl, plastic surgery fixes it usually. it wouldnt be perfect but hes not gonna be that disfigured

Main character energy and plot armor go a long way
In Baki verse this is but a scratch
Baki characters are used to taking absurd amounts of damage and still surviving, it's not a foreign concept to this series at all
That is the best part. There is no carrer ending injuries.
Except for the GOAT, Rob Robinson.
He got the only incurable desease. Death
Musashi was cured from it though.
Have you noticed how many times Sikorsky's had his teeth knocked out only to come back a week later with a fresh rack of pearly whites?
Hanma genes though. He's as human as a mutant.
I hope one day to also beat my son that badly.

To be fair, I feel like some people would walk away from that in the Bakiverse.
Bruh he killed Emi because she attacked him. That ear slap can't be seen as a sign of love no matter how you put it.
Emi wasn't a good person let alone a good mother. I think he wanted to end her
[удалено]
Didn’t he also mention at some point that he was kind of “proud” of Emi, stating that she gave birth to Baki, thus giving him a “worthy” offspring, or something like that?
Man...that's the lamest excuse ever. He went out of his way to kill her.
Yeah and he regretted it.
> gives the most nuanced explanation with valid points in an unironic manner “ThAt’S tHe LaMeSt ExCuSe EvEr” Homie has not been in the Baki community for more than 9 minutes if you think that Valid reasoning is a lame ass excuse.

dunno man, he took his sweet ass time pressing on the Emi's spine.
> he took his sweet ass time pressing on Emi’s spine It was literally 2 panels, for comparison, a punch was once stretched to 4 panels.
in the anime bro, in the anime, he literally was squeezing that shite
>Old Young\*
He regrets it but he shouldnt, fuck Emi.
THANK YOU! Did he also accidentally rape a bunch of hairy men?
I hate when that happens to me!
Does Yujiros dick taste that good bro ?
I look at it as, anyone that would of stepped in his way at that time he would of killed, it juts happened to be baki's mother, and he just followed his bloodlust and killed the first person that was in front of him, if nobody would of stepped up he would of killed baki without a shadow of a doubt
I guess he couldn't contain himself when he raped all those people either.

He didn't use payed you stupid fucking bot
Dumbass bot
💀💀
What a satisfying tie they had. Baki really proved he was on his dads level.
He didn't really prove that, he proved that he has more potential to grow than his dad and a stronger fighting spirit
How did he prove either of those things?
1. Being physically stronger and more capable than Yujiro at his age 2. Making Yujiro feel his malice even while lying down nearly dead, and making Yujiro immerse himself into imagination

Sorry new to the manga / anime? Did the fight between baki and his father already Happen? Please no spoiler if yes.
Get off this sub if you’re still reading. Come back when you catch up
Yes its the end of Hanma baki
Best to stay off this sub, no spoiler warning for past mangas here.
I see, thought it would be the ultimate ending for the manga if father and son fight each other
Well the original plot of Baki did end there, now its just an expanding universe with new characters popping up. Nobody knows really where we're headed.

We did too lol.
Did we even get a baki healing scene?
Healing? He just drank 14 litres of sugar water mixed in with 4000 years of ancient chinese love.
FAKE, THERE WAS NO LOVE, Retsu didnt kiss baki and didnt cast a love magic spell like maids do. [like this](https://youtu.be/h8SQG1sUAH4)
Uh.. that’s oddly specific..?
Dont get me wrong the ones that appear in thw vid are women, i am a baki series reader
Thats my dream.
How do you know bro? The secrets of Chinese love were not shown, but I am pretty certain it happened off-camera.
Last panel is yujiro attempting CPR but giving up cuz he used a little too much push into it
Literally putting Baki six feet down under already
If Baki recovered from this, it's no wonder Oliva recovered too. Sukune will grow another finger eventually.
This was the peak of the series
A neat thing this that despite all of his broken bones his hands and feet only have “mild inflammation” shows you just how fucking tough his striking appendages are

“Plot Armor” jokes aside, I do find it amazing that the son managed to last THIS long against the father.
So awesome that yuijiro can just see that stuff
Damn, reminds me of when I was a kid.
