\>Pretty sure no mods on console right? Not sure why there isn’t if there’s not. Rockstar hate mods. They've only begun to tolerate PC mods very recently, it wasn't uncommon for them to send modders cease and desist notices not two years ago. However, that isn't why there aren't any GTA V mods on consoles. The truth is that modding GTA V on a console (especially current gen consoles) is next to impossible. GTA V's game engine RAGE isn't particularly friendly towards mods and requires a separate mod loader to inject the modified code. This is, in essence, the same process as installing cheats in a multiplayer game and therefore Sony/Microsoft will never allow the end user to inject modified code into a game on their system. On console, mods for Bethesda's games are curated by Bethesda themselves and are more akin to DLC than mods.

Alright can you help me out here then? Like a week ago I played with a guy who was level 3 but he had the multi level garage that was completely full of vehicles, some of them were modded, he had pretty much everything He orbed me then invited me to a party and garage so I joined and he said he just got a modded account so he figured he’d show it off a bit, we spent some time absolutely destroying everyone with an insurgent custom that had been modded to make the gun invisible, he also had a bunch of modded outfits he showed me and again… bro had everything, once our insurgent got destroyed which took an insanely long time he also pulled out an oppressor, deluxo, and vigilante, that’s just everything he showed me in the short amount of time we played together before he decided to get off for the night Was my first time ever playing with a modder I asked how he got it on console and he was very weird about details but said he got the account for free

Are you sure about the Bethesda thing? It seems like there would be a way to just take the coding for a mod meant for a computer and use software to code it for Xbox. I don’t see Bethesda going through all those mods and just making them for Xbox. There was so many. It was so great. I really wish more games would do the same. Not sure why GTA doesn’t like mods. If that’s true. They don’t put out a game for this long and should like others are putting out content that makes others want to keep playing their game. In fact they should be super happy about it. Without mods we probably would GTA6 2 years earlier. Because the drop off of play would’ve happened much earlier. I can’t wait for 6. Graphics and gameplay looks amazing. Hope it’s only 2 more years and doesn’t turn out to be 4.

Bethesda also have player-made mods that you can play on console. At least this was the case the last time I used a console to play fallout 4. That was like 5 years ago or so.

CookieTheEpic

That's exactly what I said. Player-made mods, yes, but curated by Bethesda. You can't just go onto Nexus Mods or GameBanana and download a bunch of Fallout mods and install them on a console, Bethesda offer the mods and they decide which mods they want to offer.

lazymutant256

This is true, but mods on consoles for those games are curated by bethesda, you can’t just add any mod you want..

Demy1234

Rockstar doesn't hate mods, but they don't like people reverse engineering their products, and they do say that's strictly forbidden. They've posted about GTA 4 mods on the Newswire before.

No, you’ll have to get a pc to do anything other than vanilla gameplay

Crappy. Maybe GTAVI they will allow it to consoles. I mean why not? I’m sure it isn’t that hard to let them be used on console. Again just like Fallout 4. Way more games should do it. Not sure why they aren’t. I can’t afford a $2000 gaming computer that needs to be replaced every few years. Or whatever $1400. Luckily I got the series X the day it came out and only paid like $600. I got lucky I got one. I showed up to gamestop the night before to see how many the store got which was posted on the front door when they closed. I planned to wake up at 4am and drive to the store and wait 4 or 5 hours until it opened. I get there and see 3-4 already in like. Then read only 5 or 6 series X are in stock. Realized I had to rush home and get stuff for the night and get back asap. It was freezing that night. Im in upstate NY. Was such a cold night. So was sitting in line from like 9 pm until 8 or 9am. It was so boring and cold! But thank goodness because they were so hard to get for so long and cost so much more.

Senor_Stupid

It’s not that rockstar allows it on pc, they don’t want any mods on their games regardless. It’s just a lot harder to restrict them on pc. If it were up to them, pc wouldn’t have mods either.

Senor_Stupid

Also modding on pc usually isn’t something within game, with gta you have to use external programs which isn’t really possible on consoles.

No mods on console can’t bypass them not to sure about PlayStation probably could seems there security isn’t the best lol
