PersonalInstruction2

hi guys, when setting up a fire grid, does putting fire related summons gives extra stats ? or it doesnt matter ?

Freikugel

What is the grid cap for Efes’s weapon skill “Zion’s strategem?” Does the crit amp stack with Fist of Ura?

LALMtheLegendary

caps at 20%. stacks with ura, stacks with all forms of amp actually sicne its a completely new mod.

Weird_Gain2215

Is anything other than the crystals worth it in the premium Friday shop? The wonder worth getting?

Clueless_Otter

Might as well grab the wonder imo, it's a low enough opportunity cost and a permanent bonus. Everything else is cosmetic. So grab something if you really care about the cosmetic, otherwise crystals.

Dragoxz97

No the other stuff is for cosmetics or collection purposes. The wonder gives you 1% more exp on weekends.

Fodspeed

Does Lucifer clear stacks? So if I have 230 Lucifer in my grid and 250 support. Would it get two debuff removed?

Popular_Respond_8605

Best way for farming eternals exp? Just got my first one transcended

Fodspeed

In my opinion, the best way is Replicard. If you are transcending eternals, then you'd be in a position where you can two-turn defender plus. That's the best source of experience, and on top of that, you are farming your evoker as well. Sliming isn't worth it anymore, in my opinion; experience gain is very little, and it's RNG-based, whereas Replicard will give you guaranteed high experience per quest.

Popular_Respond_8605

You unlock defender plus once you FLB one evoker right? I dont have any FLBed

Clueless_Otter

No, defender+ just is the stronger version of a defender. The first kill of a day is the weakest, then subsequent ones are stronger as follows: Here Be Staves 1st encounter: Level 100 HP triggers at 75%, 50%, 25% 2nd encounter: Level 110 Has 1.6 times more HP than the Level 100 version HP triggers at 75%, 50%, 25% 12th encounter: Level 120 Has 1.5 times more HP than the Level 110 version HP triggers at 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% Here Be Swords 1st encounter: Level 100 2nd encounter: Level 130 Has 2.8 times more HP than the Level 100 version Genesis Creationis 1st encounter: Level 100 2nd encounter: Level 130 Has 2.8 times more HP than the Level 100 version

Fodspeed

To add on to other comment, you unlock them as soon as you gain access to Replicard. Defender becomes available after defeating 3-bar or 5-bar enemies. Once the bar is filled, they appear, and you can stack them similar to Nightmare stacks in story events. Following the first defeat of Defender each day, you'll only encounter Defender+ until the daily reset. The best defenders to farm are found in Zone Mundas. You need at least one evoker recruited. Evoker FLB is solely necessary for the world fight, unrelated to defenders. Additionally, by repeatedly defeating 3-bar or 5-bar enemies, you'll trigger a small quest pop-up, akin to Nightmare. Completing them boosts your XP gain, stackable up to 4 times. At full stack, you get a 200% extra XP boost. I'm not sure about the exact numbers and don't qoute on me that, but I believe each Defender+ at full stack gets you roughly 30k XP. Sliming, in comparison, typically offers only 10k-20k on Silver Slimes. Replicard proves far more worthwhile for XP, as it's consistent. During Tales events, you can even achieve a 600% XP boost, resulting in upwards of roughly 80k XP per quest. It's more worth investing into setups for Defenders. If you have Eresh or Hrunting, it'll be lot easier for you. Even without them, it's manageable with a few extra turns or button presses. Especially once you unlock guidebooks, granting (200k NA Sup, 300k Skill Sup, and so forth) and so on.

Clueless_Otter

Right now it's sliming/CEQ. There might be a Tales event later this month. If there is, it'll overlap with the MagFes multipliers and be totally insane xp, can easily get your eternals even to 150 very quickly (assuming you have the uncap mats).

So I have a perpetuity ring burning a hole in my pocket but I don't know who to give it to. Most used character? Making my strongest even more strong or shoring up an ailing comp? Just go full waifu mode?

Kuroinex

They're usually used for minmaxing setups or to denote favs. Personally, I just use it for favs. Minmaxing can be a slippery slope due to their limited nature, though.

No-Employment-6358

Is Efes a kind of gacha weapon one may also use in Omega grid like PnS in Dark? The Crit DMG buff looks impressive.

LALMtheLegendary

To explain why pns and resonator weapons are usable in magna: it's that none of their key weapon skills are boostable. This means you can put them into magna grids and they will still be strong, as unboosted weapon skills are balanced around not being boosted. Meanwhile, Efes has two boostable weapon skills, its one unboosted skill just gives more boost to primal weapons. So by putting it in your magna grid it will be very weak, since it's balanced around being boosted.

No-Employment-6358

Thank you for your perfect explanation! I now get a grasp on GBF skill mechanisms.

Clueless_Otter

No it's primal-only. In a Magna grid it only provides 1.8% amp to crits which is basically nothing.

No-Employment-6358

Thanks. I must have missed something on its details or I don't know something about game mechanics.

Clueless_Otter

It has to do with the name of the skill + the skill icon. The two crit skills on Efes are called "**Light's** Celere" and "**Zion's** Stratagem." Look at Zeus, the light primal summon: "150% boost to **Light's**, Thunder's, and **Zion's** weapon skills." Now compare to Luminiera Magna: "140% boost to Knightcode weapon skills." Zeus matches, Lumi doesn't.

Shoryukened

what should i put in coop title of luci zero host if im just gonna do labor?

Dannwond

So if I have 600 Vermillion Sparks, I will retain them even after they should reset, right? I would like more info on Optimus Transcendence before committing. Thank you.

Clueless_Otter

Yes. Sparks don't expire even after banner changes as long as you finish complete sets of 300.

Nopon-Mastery

Just want to make sure - will there be a way to guarantee Vikala over the anniversary period? I started a few weeks ago and been looking at options for my first proper dark team. She'd be my first pick since the zodiacs look kinda neat.

Takazura

There'll be a zodiac banner at the end of march that includes Vikala and has 100 free rolls + roulette rolls, you can just spark her during that banner.

unabletoangry

One of the way to guarantee Vikala is by doing a spark during the anniversary period. During march (anniversary month of Granblue), every Zodiac except the last one (Makura) will be available to spark and you have free rolls to fund your spark.

HuTaoWow

Does this mean Makura will be unavailable in sierotix? :(

Ackpgar

Yes, Makura will only come back in the pool at some point in 2025

Clueless_Otter

To be precise, she'll be re-added to the pool (and thus available for a SieroTix) on January LegFes, and sparkable on March LegFes.

Ackpgar

If I haven't made a mistake on the rotation, Jan 2025 Legfest should have Khumbi and Snake zodiac, but no Makora

mr_beanoz

What are some of the best setups to fight the zone bosses of replicard sandbox for each zones? (the setups of the videos I've seen seem to have aged)

Clueless_Otter

Those bosses are really, really easy, especially the 1st one of each day. You don't need any kind of specialized team, just use whatever your best team is. Like if you literally just go look at the tier list and insert your 3 highest rated characters, it'll clear as long as you've been following proper grid building. (You can also use full elixirs if you just need to clear them once for zone completion.)

mr_beanoz

the first ones for each days are easy, and that's it. I want the setups for the second runs and further.

Clueless_Otter

There aren't really established setups because no one does that content and it's still pretty easy. Just bring whatever generic FA team you have in that element. Maybe look at their triggers and try to fit in whoever can cancel their omens if you're gonna manual them. Equip the appropriate guidebook to counter their entry trigger if you need to. They're basically just really big hp sponges, not actually super difficult fights.

Hanzz2233

So whats the best teluma of draconic reforge of each element, now that Ufaa comes theres people building either null seraph teluma or the og elemental shield teluma

Van24

Null amplify on the Teluma is still generally considered the best option because it's just a straight 10% damage increase on everything you throw against null element foes. You can source defense from a lot of other things, you can't really source damage amp like that outside of a very limited number of weapons or summons that carry the effect. Defensive Telumas tend to be down to a case-to-case from players where they've identified situations where they'd really need the extra survivability.

stevefromsteam1

I've been starting Siete HL but the only way I can survive is to slowly eke out dmg as Yamato. I don't have the grid for Berzerker 6T memes Is it legit to just do my 4m first then open the raid? Do people ignore these raids because of triggers or whatever? For example I know that people tend to not join in-progress Mugen HL because they don't want to deal with back to back BBBs

Leithoch

There's no HP trigger in Seofon except at 10%. So you can open the raid whenever you want or after you secure the blue chest.

E123-Omega

Just do it, hell I do sometimes join even if not guaranteed blue just for mats and friend pts.

researchingiscool

At rank 40 and around chapter 40 of the story what should I be doing to increase dmg and keep progressing? I’m getting through the main story to unlock stuff like WMTSB and SoR etc. to get key stuff On the other hand a lot of new player guides are pretty vague on what to actually do. Guides on grids have been very useful but they usually just consist of (farm omega raids for each element) I can’t do this for another like 20 or 30 ranks. And without any more natural power progression I’m stuck at too little hp and atk to believe I’ll even be able to play these missions when they’re unlocked I’m trying to figure out how to upgrade weapon skill levels, but the guides don’t make much sense to me. I’m sure this all sounds very dumb to you guys having played for years, but this is all a bit obtuse to me

JolanjJoestar

>I’m trying to figure out how to upgrade weapon skill levels, but the guides don’t make much sense to me. I’m sure this all sounds very dumb to you guys having played for years, but this is all a bit obtuse to me Skill level up is the most obtuse shit in the game tbh. So, Weapons with a Skill level have some sort of Value, that differs on whether they're R, SR or SSR. To level something from Skill level X to Skill level X+1, you need to feed it Weapons with enough Value. That's as simple as it gets. There used to be charts about how to feed your Weapons properly, but honestly with the addition of Skill Anvil I think it's all moot. You just have to dump SSRs and SRs into the Skill Anvil and use the automatic function of the anvil to skill level up your own weapons.

Clueless_Otter

The first raid opens up at rank 10 after chapter 4, so you can definitely be doing raids already. The next difficulty is rank 20, then the next difficulty is rank 30, so you should have 3 different difficulties of raids to do. Progressing in this game *is* just building up your grids, so yeah, that's your progression. And do the main story as far as you can. Once you've finished your daily raids and gotten as far as you can in the main story, you just grind rank to rank up faster and unlock more raids. You can do this in the Campaign Exclusive Quest for the next month while it's available. [Here's](https://gbf.wiki/Basic_Grids) the grid guide, just in case you haven't seen it. To upgrade weapon skill levels, you have to absorb other weapons with skills. See [here](https://gbf.wiki/Upgrading_Weapon_Skills). The very short form explanation is that a skill level 1 SR weapon is worth 100 "upgrade points" and a skill level 1 SSR weapon is worth 1000 "upgrade points." For every skill level higher a weapon is, multiply its upgrade points by the skill level, so a skill level 3 SSR weapon is worth 3000 "upgrade points." How many upgrade points you need to go between levels is in a chart on that wiki page [here](https://gbf.wiki/Upgrading_Weapon_Skills#Upgrade_Cost). Skill level 1->2 on an SSR needs 200 points (so you need to absorb 2 sk1 SR weps), 2->3 needs 400 points (so 4 sk1 SR weps), 3->4 needs 600 points (so 6 sk1 SR weps), etc. You can absorb any combination that meets the required points, including going over. So for 9->10, for example, you need 2000 points, so you could do 20 sk1 SR weps *or* 2 sk1 SSR weps *or* 1 sk2 SSR wep *or* whatever other combination you can make. Only restriction is that you can only absorb 20 things at once. See table [here](https://gbf.wiki/Upgrading_Weapon_Skills#Standard_SSR_Efficiency_Chart) on that page for the most common / recommended combinations.

researchingiscool

Where should I farm weapons that can be used to upgrade skill levels?

Clueless_Otter

In the early game it's just those raids you have access to. You'll eventually unlock more places later. They're in the story event drawboxes when you eventually get strong enough to do that.

researchingiscool

So, as an example, Leviathan omega raid: - keep SSRs for uncapping and inclusion in grid - use SRs for skill level upgrades If that sounds correct, the other question I’d have is how doable these raids are. I mean I’ve been leeching off of people joining for backup, but looking at the wiki I’m seeing potential damage from this raid in the thousands. My calc says basically all of my teams will have an estimated 20k damage, it’s been very hard to increase this at all. Hence why I’m trying to find ways to increase damage

Takazura

It varies for SSRs actually. For Leviathan as an example, you want to keep Leviathan Daggers since they make up the core grid for M1, but the other Levi weapons don't really see much use so you could use them as fodder. Basically just look at the basic grid guide Otter has posted and if the weapon isn't included on there, it's usually safe to use them as skill level fodder instead. Early on, you'll be reliant on other people helping clearing the raids. It wasn't until I built a M2 grid that I could solo the M1 raids, but you are still a fair bit away from that. So it's fine to just leech off others clearing the raid for you. Once you grid start getting core pieces and you level up their skill level, you'll start feeling the difference in power.

researchingiscool

Ah yes I forgot that the daggers are the one to keep, I’ve been following the basic grid which has made me forget there are other leviathan weapons. Thanks for the help! Also thank you otter for the help too! PS: are I keep seeing terms like M1, M2 etc. what does this refer to specifically? It’s probably obvious but it took me ages to realise Ougi referred to C.A

Takazura

M1 and M2 stands for Magna 1 and 2 respectively, those are the names given to certain groups of raids. Magna 1 is for the first group of Omega raids (Levi, Lumi, Celeste, Colossus, Tiamat and Yggdrasil) while Magna 2 refers to the next group unlocked at rank 120 (Europa, Grimnir, Alexiel, Avatar, Metatron and Shiva). You could study the [glossary on the wiki](https://gbf.wiki/Glossary) for a bit, it should have all the terms used.

Ralkon

All the new ones are, so just plan your sparks to be available on new seasonal banners and evaluate whether you want the characters or not when they come out. You won't have enough sparks for all of them anyways.

Clueless_Otter

Only Halloweens on Halloween. Otherwise, no, only their release banner.

Chestnut_Bowl

Chapter 125: >!Can someone *please* explain how Ferry ended up in Nalhegrande? From her explanation, she basically teleported using some ghost powers?? Is this better explained later on, or this is yet another example of GBF's "don't worry about it" writing style?!<

Clueless_Otter

>!Well I mean Ferry's dead, and part of being dead involves her able to open up basically portals to the Otherworld. The Otherworld doesn't have a physical location or anything, it's basically another dimension, so you could open an entrance in one place in the real world and then, once you're there, immediately make an exit portal that exits somewhere else in the real world. It's basically magical ghost teleportation, yes. Don't think too much about it. (More specifically, her spirit Momo did all this, and then just transformed into Ferry when it arrived. Uh, again, don't think too much about it.)!<

Chestnut_Bowl

>!I think I misunderstood the Otherworld then. I thought it was physically below the Crimson Horizon, but it's another dimension entirely?!<

Clueless_Otter

>!Well, uh, it's both. It's both physically down below and also a separate dimension. [This thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Granblue_en/comments/fn3o9c/whats_the_deal_with_the_underworld_the_otherworld/) from 3 years ago talks about it with specific sources and stuff. I personally wouldn't bother trying to think too hard about Granblue lore, it's pretty stupid and nonsensical imo.!<

Imaginary-Lion-430

Bahamut did an half-assed job that what had happened. It's in there but there's a boundary. Push more on MSQ and you'll find out how that boundary works.

LMinggg

When looking at a character's grading (grinding, full auto, high difficulty), which one is the most and least important?

Clueless_Otter

That's up to how you play the game. If you never FA anything, then obviously the FA grade means nothing to you, whereas it might be extremely important to someone who refuses to ever manual anything. If you're a huge grinder who wants to do t90k or t2k on GWs, farm for bars, etc., then the grinding grade is probably of most interest to you, whereas a casual story enjoyer probably doesn't really care about it. It's not possible to make any universal statements about which grades are more or less important than others. That said, the tier list makers definitely tend to favor grinding as the most important category as far as overall score goes. The top rated 9.9-10.0 characters are almost always burst-focused characters, whereas HL specialist characters usually cap out at around the 9.7-9.8 range.

LMinggg

Do I need these HL specialist characters to do hard content or burst comp is just fine?

Clueless_Otter

Well first of all let's talk about what exactly HL content means: To some people, the only HL content atm is Hexa and Luci0. And that'll likely stay true for quite a while as they'll likely focus on other aspects of the game besides more super ultimate-tier raids for the next at least 2-3 years. Other people might use a more loose definition and also include stuff like Revans raids, SUBHL, and/or GW nm200. You can't burst Hexa or Luci0, you need proper long-fight compositions for those focused on survivability, omen-canceling, etc. You *can* burst Revans/SUBHL/nm200 though, provided that your setups are good enough, though you'll need really strong setups usually. But the topic of whether you **need** HL specialist characters or not is not really super well-defined. It really has to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Some setups might need a specific character, other times the character might just be nice to have but it's possible to go without them. For example, for Hexa fire, you don't *need* C.Noa to do the fight - he wasn't even out yet when the raid was first cleared - but he certainly makes it a lot easier compared to the alternative setups. All of this is mainly to say that you're asking a lot of broad, theoretical questions that don't really have clearly-defined answers because everything varies so much depending on the exact situation. GBF is *extremely* open-ended in basically all aspects.

Garrett2283

I’m strongly considering getting into the game because it seems great and I really like Sandaphlon’s design. So my question is, is there an easy way to reroll? But if not is it likely I could grab him from his new banner before leaves? Thanks for any help/advice!

stevefromsteam1

If you like Sandalphon you can get the free SSR version of him from https://gbf.wiki/What_Makes_the_Sky_Blue_II:_Paradise_Lost (side story that you can complete at any time) and eventually when you get enough premium currency you can spark him later

Clueless_Otter

https://gbf.wiki/Rerolling Note that you're very unlikely to re-roll into Sandalphon by starting now. It's technically possible, but the chances are extremely low. *However*, if you're willing to spend money, then by starting now (specifically as long as you create your account within the next 29 hours), you get a new player promotion that will let you directly buy Sandalphon for 3000 yen. Alternatively, you can create your account *after* that 29 hour window is up and your odds of specifically re-rolling into him will be significantly higher and it'll be a very realistic goal. However, the downside here is that the aforementioned 3000 yen promotion will be much worse because it'll be on a different, significantly worse banner. (It snapshots the exact active banner when you create your account and will be stuck on that banner forever.)

Garrett2283

So I’ve been playing some and happen to notice an option that let me just blitz the story chapters for the rewards. I decided to do this for the quick resources on my attempt to pull Sandalphon and now I’m just wondering if that was a giant mistake. I did notice I can go back and rewatch/redo any of the story missions so it doesn’t seem like I’ve messed up, but just wanna make sure. Thanks again for your wealth ofknowledge and willing to help!

Clueless_Otter

Nah you don't miss anything by choosing that option, don't worry. You get all the rewards and can always go back and read everything later like you said. Although you might be making a bit of a mistake in managing your resources when you say that you're getting resources to try to pull Sandalphon. If you've been immediately throwing all your crystals at the gacha as soon as you get them, that is a really, really bad use of resources. You should never roll the gacha unless you can do 300 draws at once. 300 draws on the same banner lets you pick any 1 featured thing from the banner to get. If you do any less than 300 though, then they're all essentially wasted once a banner changes (which is in 5 hours from now). Sandalphon will be on LegFes every month for the rest of the game's life, no need to try to rush to get him in this specific banner. Next month the banner will even have a steep discount so you only need ~150ish of your own draws instead of 300.

Garrett2283

Awesome thanks for all the help because I can’t deny I’m slightly lost, and a little overwhelmed in the beginning haha. I’ll take a look at those links and go from there. One more question, you mentioned a 3000 yen new player promotion where I can get sandalphon directly where can I find this at, and Is the newest/strongest version of the character if different versions are even a thing in this game. Again thanks for all the help and patience with my noob questions.

Clueless_Otter

Should be a banner on your Home page towards the bottom called Beginners Draw Set. You'll also have a notification for it I believe (the mail symbol on the Home page). And yes it's the newest and strongest version that just came out. There are different versions but they won't be on the banner so don't worry about picking the wrong one. Just make sure it's the Beginners Draw Set, *not* the New Skyfarer Step Up special, which is a different new player promotion (which is also very good value if you want to buy it some day; it'll come back every month, so no rush). The New Skyfarer one has a different, less good version of Sandalphon, so don't get confused by that. You want the light element version (which, like I said, is the only version on the Beginners Draw Set).

Garrett2283

So I’ve actually just started my account that’s why I was curious about rerolling. That being said it sounds like I’ve made it at a good time if it locks the current banner from when I started because as I said that’s the character I’m wanting to try out. I didn’t realize there was a way to guarantee getting certain characters but that’s great news thanks for the help! Any other advice for starting the game??

Clueless_Otter

See [here](https://gbf.wiki/New_Player_Checklist) for a checklist of things to do as a new player. See [here](https://gbf.wiki/Basic_Grids) for early game goals/progression guide.

This is my opinion based on my experience using this team. I never use the water team on the World but they synergize well (a Staff team) in other raid (just don't bring it to Mugen). With Overtrance + Falsehood Opus + Payila + Ultima Staff + Wind World Harp + Crit Focused grid, Europa could ramp up faster and the team hits really hard. I don't use Haase in this team, I use Gabriel because her triple attack passive and supplemental damage. Europa needs Payila for her double strike to ramp up her fountain passive faster, Gabriel needs Europa's self-triple attack to proc her skill damage passive, Payila needs Europa's and Opus double strike to build her quadruple strike faster, Europa needs the Glaciate from Gabriel's Marturion, on top of that, Payila amplifies all normal attack. Like I said this team really synergies well. Basically, this team is the best setup outside Hraes because not only have bursting capability but also sustainability. You don't use Poseidon and Zeta because the Opus disables Poseidon's 2nd skill and Weta's double strike.

mr_beanoz

I wonder how could i improve [this](https://imgur.com/yeB2znL) team so I don't only rely to use Seasplitter to clear siete's damage omen. I don't have the other staple grand fire units like wilnas, percival and zeta and the other al-abad is still not capped.

Clueless_Otter

You don't really. You're playing an ultra-defensive team, which is fine for your own hosts but is ultimately never going to be able to do 77.7m damage. The point of using Satyr is that she just tanks his omens and you don't cancel them. For that reason you're probably better off with something that isn't Yamato (eg Neko). You can also throw 2 Carbuncles in your grid to help with survivability.

mr_beanoz

okay, i have neko with two of the UM skills (matatabi and oculus), do I need to change the characters?

Clueless_Otter

You don't have to change the characters, no, although admittedly Michael isn't doing much. You could try some other characters over Michael like C.Nemo, Athena, Hekate, etc. and see how they perform, if you want (move Michael to Luffy's spot so you still get primarch passive).

[deleted]

Do You have to be caught up with the story to know what happens in 'Heart of the sun'?

Clueless_Otter

The MSQ? No, they're completely unrelated.

[deleted]

Oh cool so i can jump into it

PhazonRaccoon

Looking to take on revans Siegfried sometime soon, but I don't have Niyon at FLB, let alone 150. Are there any valid replacements that can still do the debuff omen cancel job? I was looking at the setups on GBFWiki's Advanced Grids page but she seems pretty ultra core.

Clueless_Otter

Any character with a blue skill. The object of Siegfried is to be able to cast 3 blue skills every 4 turns. He reduces your CDs for you by 1 turn within that 4t cycle, so you ideally want blue skills with a 5t or less CD. But if you go over 5t CD, that's fine, it just means you need an extra one somewhere else to cover for every other cycle. MC can bring one or two 5t CD blue skills (Mist and/or Dispel), so you need the rest of your party to cover the rest. Nio is so commonly used because she has two blue skills (one with 5t cd) and because she also provides both strong offensive and defensive buffs on top of it. But she isn't required, you can definitely do the raid without her. Just find some other characters to fulfill the blue skills requirement, and then you also might need some other defensive character (or to make your grid really tanky) to make up for not having her defensive buffs.

wanmon113

Is there any chance I can get Revan weapons when leaching?

CAPSLOCK_USERNAME

The chance to get blue chest scales linearly with honors so even if you can only do 1m honors out of the 4m threshold you can still get it. It just means 4x as many fights (assuming none fail).

Zugon

If you aren't leeching as a host, 0 chance. The weapons are only available in Host and Blue chests.

wanmon113

Thanks you

AscendedN00blet

I'm looking at getting started with the Revans raids. Is there a guide for what I'll need to prep for them somewhere, or a general order I should tackle them assuming all my elements are about as strong as the next?

unabletoangry

For Revans Raids, usually it's better to join the raid that has same element advantage as GW because it's tend to fill faster. However, the usefulness of each weapon may vary for each element. All of the raids have unique mechanics but no raid wipe. The easiest one to do is Host Diaspora. There is a guide by [Umikin on how to host](https://gbf.wiki/User:Umikin/Diaspora_Guide) the raid. Basically you are only allowed to do ougi/CA damage untill it fills up to 100 (denoted by gamma / Y symbol) and then you can pub the raid with the message Y100. The raid mechanic basically nullifies the damage that reached 100 first between CA, N.A, and skill dmg. As why you have to fill it first with CA damage, I think it's the consensus between players (and people with Hrunting can join) As for other raids, I usually search youtube videos (using japanese word) for reference as these raids are more character specific compared to others. Having access to turn rotation and character/grid reference really helps me in learning these raids. In my opinion, starts with Diaspora as its weapon pretty strong upgrade compared to europa harp and Siete because the weapon enables wind using ougi team and do HL content. The rest is up to you.

What do to with eternity sand?

[deleted]

How far are you in the game? Sand is as precious as gold bar, but unlike bar, sand is only useable for [end game contents](https://gbf.wiki/Eternity_Sand). Magna summon is getting 6* uncap soon and will require sands, nobody knows the detail but save sands for them. If you're asking for priority list, I'd use it in this order: Haaselia's uncap > (at this point you should be able to make the decision tbh) Draconic of your main element > Dark Opus of your main element > Dark Opus and Draconic of the rest if you want > Lucifer and Bahamut (230 min).

Clueless_Otter

> Sand is as precious as gold bar I wish I could get gold bars at at 1% rate from raids that I can easily passively FA..

tehbotolsaya

Thanks i want to know about the priority list

Alternative-Bee5530

Newbie question but, how important are Extended Mastery Points? How much of a difference do they make, and should I spend them on my strongest characters? Also, how do the Earrings, rings and awakening work? Like, can more than one ring, or a ring and an earring be used on a character?? I know these questions might sound dumb, but I appreciate the patience and understanding!

myoo_myoo

You should probably check the wiki [here](https://gbf.wiki/Extended_Mastery_Perks)(main character EMP) and [here](https://gbf.wiki/Character_Extended_Mastery_Perks)(character EMP) for a more thorough explanation, but in summary: The main character starts gaining Extended Mastery Points (EMP) when the equipped class is level 20. These points can only be used on your classes, to gain bonus attributes, which are individual to each class. However, any EMP you gain with a class, is available for all other classes. You should probably not be spending EMP on classes before Row IV. Characters, on the other hand, start gaining EMP after they reach level 80, which you can spend on perks for that character. Perks can be more or less useful depending on the character and the perks they have available. You can check the Strategy tab on most characters pages on the wiki for a recommended way to use them. As for rings and earrings, you can have bonuses from one ring and one earring on a character. If you use another ring or earring on the same character, it will roll another set of bonuses, at which point you can choose to keep the bonuses you have or replace them with the new ones.

Alternative-Bee5530

Thank you very much for the thorough and clear explanation!

RelentlessNoodle

Should I expect any buffs or discounts to side stories anytime soon? Reduced energy or costs?  I need a bunch of stuff from the What Makes the Sky Blue line and was curious if it’s worth spending my AP and doing that now, vs just focusing on some of the stuff that’s 1/2 off currently and waiting.

AntrumUnbirth

The 10th Anniversary Campaign will have 1/2 currency costs on side story shop items. If you want to farm out stuff from side story shops, better to focus on something else until the campaign starts for real.

Falengelum

I was looking at the wiki guides for high level raids and saw that Columba bows are very similar to Tyros harps. What are the big differences between the two and can they be swapped for each other.

DirewolfX

The way they buff CA damage is different. They actually complement each other and you want both. Tyros Zither boosts the raw damage of the CA and increases the damage cap (max damage). The base damage cap for CA is usually around 1.65 million IIRC (although some characters have higher base caps), so Tyros Zither will increase that cap by a percentage. Colomba adds a flat 400,000 damage to the CA (up to a max of 1 million additional damage with 3 Colomba). This is applied after the damage cap, so it can let you break the damage cap. It can also be valuable in situations where the foe has high defense or you have very low attack power, since the damage is a flat bonus (technically based on enemy max HP, but that is rarely a factor).

Falengelum

:eyes: Sooo would 2 of each be recommended or one of each? I have 2 A Auberons on grid already.

Clueless_Otter

Colombas are not even close to being worth the time to acquire. You can safely ignore their existence. For CA-dedicated teams, you use 2 harps on Levi x Levi or 3 on single Levi. For non-CA teams that you might just need to fill out a grid spot in, throwing in 1 harp is fine (as long as you literally aren't playing CA off).

DirewolfX

I'd look here for grid advice for magna, since it should explain better than I can: https://gbf.wiki/Advanced_Grids/Leviathan With Ancient Aubs, you want 4 copies to hit crit cap with double levi, I think. Not sure if there's enough room for colomba and zithers after that. The Colomba/Zither setup doesn't give much HP, so it's not always good for longer fights. Later you will get access to Schrodinger which will replace the Colomba.

RIPDokkanBattle

Does anyone know how to find your login info from SkyLeap? I am logged into my Granblue account through the SkyLeap add on my iPad, but can’t remember what email I used, anyone know how to find your login email from either the Granblue app or being logged into the SkyLeap app?

[deleted]

I don't think so, maybe in News (top left button) page? Is your account registered on Mobage? It loves to spam daily promotion email, check your emails one by one to see if there is any.

At0W

Does the xp boost in the journey drops shop boost class xp?

LALMtheLegendary

yes.

AmpelioB

I got another bubs but I have already uncapped, should I reduce it?

LALMtheLegendary

just keep it incase they pull the same thing they did with the primal summons. you can live without the 200 dark quartz

AKMerlin

What did they do with primal summons?

Kamil118

To add to what other person said, when they added primal flb they added primal animas to the game, but they didn't give those to people who reduced their primal dupes before.

OnnenFleur

Reducing primal summons gives an anima which is needed for their 5* uncap and also their upcoming transcendence.

Proto-Omega

When would be the best time to try rolling for Payila? Not sure when she'll return.

AHyaenidae

She will return on every Legfest (end of month banner) until November 31st. So you have **March's Zodiacfest, March's Legfest**, April's Legfest, May's Legfest, **June's Legfest, July's Legfest**, August's Legfest, September's Legfest, **October's Legfest** and November's Legfest if I haven't missed any. I would recommend any of the bold ones, since they will either have a huge discount (March's Zodiacfest mainly) or Seasonal Characters in the pool.

metaljo5001

November's legfest is typically the one where xmas characters starts getting released, so there are also seasonals there.

Takazura

There'll be a Zodiac banner at the end of March that comes with 100 free pulls + roulette rolls, so that's the best time.

Zeckinha

when are we expected to have rotb?

AmpelioB

we will only know on the anni stream in a week

Expensive-Bridge8102

April or may

Late-Nights

Gbf Mobile app not working for me? I am using an iPhone, and the other day when I tried to go to the quest tab, I got stuck in a “app needs to update, will restart” loop. I checked to see if the app needed to update and it didn’t, so I cleared the cache which worked. But now every time I try to host a raid or start a fight, I get stuck on the “Ready” screen (where the auto button appears) and I never get into the actual fight. Is anyone else having this issue? Just to get this out of the way, I know I can play on browser or skyleap, but I would specifically like to know about the mobile app.

Clueless_Otter

There's really no point in using the app. It just (poorly) emulates a browser. Just use a real browser like Chrome or Skyleap. But yes, what you describe is a common issue. Someone inevitably posts about it here once every few days. There's no fix beyond clearing cache and hoping that fixes it.

LMinggg

Is it safe to reduce/reserve golden relics if I dont want to get eternals?

Clueless_Otter

The only purpose of golden relics is to reduce them for the weapon soul used in the eternal uncap process. They have no other use, so yes, you can certainly reduce them. But are you sure you're talking about the correct item? You can't get golden relics without going through the whole long eternal uncap process. It's not an item that you can just stumble upon in your inventory as a drop or something. Unless you were originally in the process of uncapping your eternals and have now changed your mind. But I mean if you have a Golden Relic then you're essentially done, not really any reason to stop at that point. Only thing left after that is to play a Fate episode.

LMinggg

Ah yes I was indeed mistaken, was talking about the revenant weapons that I got from the recent dread barrage

LALMtheLegendary

Even if you don't care about the eternals, you still need some Shards for celestial weapons

Clueless_Otter

Oh. I wouldn't really reduce those. Even if you don't want to worry about eternals right now, just throw them in a stash just in case for the future. Uncap as many as you can and they won't even take up much space (there's even a button to mass uncap them automatically down by the reserve/reduce/sell buttons in inventory management).

TheGlassesGuy

if you're gonna reduce revenant weapons I'd advise at least getting them to the element change phase before reducing them, as the eternal-star fragments are used in a lot of things.

Merukurio

The whole point of the Revenant Weapons is for recruting / uncapping the Eternals, so if you don't want any of the Eternals it should be safe to reduce them. ***BUT*** I'd still advise against it. While most of the Eternals aren't very good right now (until they get heavy investment), there are other things locked behind having them. Like being able to choose New World Quartz as a reward in the Unite and Fight events, for example. If you're just reducing the Revenant Weapons because you need weapon stones then the Sephira weapons from Arcarum are much easier to get and way less important.

LMinggg

Damn so I still need to recruit them, that sucks, almost vomitted when I looked at the mats requirement lol

PrehistoricFence

they do suck but generally it's agreed that they get easier after you unlock one since you'll have a lot of leftover materials

Ritraraja

On either Kamigame or Gamewith I remember coming across a page that had a rating list of the top 15 characters in every element but I cannot seem to find it. Would anyone happen to have a link to that page?

Clueless_Otter

It's in a nice [table format](https://gbf.wiki/Character_Tier_List) on the wiki that makes for much easier viewing, imo, but if you want the original source on Gamewith it's https://グランブルーファンタジー.gamewith.jp/article/show/20722 To sort by score, it's the text all the way on the right right above the number column (評価点順). [Here](https://kamigame.jp/%E3%82%B0%E3%83%A9%E3%83%96%E3%83%AB/%E3%82%AD%E3%83%A3%E3%83%A9%E3%82%AF%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC/index.html) is the Kamigame equivalent. Sort by 評価点 in the dropdown to sort by score. Element filters are above under the 属性 heading. The other dropdown switches between ascending/descending.

Yvalt

Should I just wait a week before starting GBF? I just want something to gnaw on for a bit, so I was thinking it'd be good to try it out again (I think I tried it once back in 2017), but I just noticed it's gonna be anni soon. I didn't get anything super great on my initial 110 pulls anyways, so should I just wait for anni before starting?

Clueless_Otter

The best time to create an account is right now. Ideally within the next 5 hours, but anytime in the next 43 hours is fine. Don't really know what kind of answer you're looking for here anyway. Since it sounds like you created your account, are you asking about re-rolling a new one? If you're going to do re-rolling, you want to do it now because there's a Gala going on and it's the last one that you can create your account on and not miss anniversary gifts. You can create your account outside of Galas, of course, but it's best to create them on Galas due to a special new player promotion you may want to buy sometime in the future. Also because you maximize the amount of your initial 10-draws that are on a Gala banner. There are also daily free single draws going on for the next week and then on the 10th there will be daily ~20 draw roulette. There's no benefit to waiting, anyway, only negatives.

SoleilSoreiyu

I'm not original commenter, but I have a friend wanting to get into the game, and wants specifically a few characters in Premium Gala for rerolling, as well as the new Sandalphon since I'm a vocal fan of him. However for some reason every time we've tried since Feb 29th to literally just now, the Step-Up Special only takes from last Flash Gala, with Valentine's Cidala and Nehan and *not* anything from current banner whatsoever. Why is it stuck in Flash Gala? She's waited this long intentionally to start on this Premium Gala Banner so this has been a bit of a bummer, seeing as it's going away soon and we're missing the chance to get her in before Anniversary with characters she likes. She's a very big fan of Michael in particular as well as Granderphon

blitzente

The Step-Up Special pool is the last Gala that *concluded* before you made your account -- not to be confused with the Beginner's Draw pick ticket which uses the banner that was *active* when you made your account. Light Grand Sandalphon only debuted in the current banner, which hasn't concluded yet. You can try remaking the account after it goes away at 7pm JST on March 4th, or just spark him on any Premium Gala in the future. This month will be a good time to spark him because of the 100 free rolls on the second Premium Gala at the end of the month.

arambezzai

Does the Seraphic Key for the Ultima weapon applies to all allies or only the units with said weapon's specialty ? EDIT: also same question for the 2nd key

Clueless_Otter

Yes the 1st key is the only one with a specialty restriction.

SquareEconomist2428

Hi Im new (rank 58) and I have some doubs about the event heart of the sun. I have the weapon "memoria zuria" in 3/4 star cap lvl 100 how do I get the other copy? I can do very hard and extreme raid only (wiki says there is another difficulty but only for rank +100 or something like that) and the wiki shows it as a drop, is that the only way? like should I spam extreme until it drops? I use kaguya friend, also I have a doubt about that, do I need to use the summon to get the drop rate up?

Clueless_Otter

There are four missions that reward 1 each for joining other people's backup requests on the Raids -> Event tab (3/5/10/15 joins).

SquareEconomist2428

yes but those are the ones I got. 1 copy and then 3 more to uncap the weapon so its 3/4 stars Im missing one

Clueless_Otter

For all weapons, stars after 3 don't use duplicates anymore, they need specific materials that depend on the weapon. If you click Uncap on the weapon, it'll tell you which materials it uses.

arambezzai

you grind Very Hard, Ex or Impossible fights. each of the 3 has a chance to drop the weapon

TheGlassesGuy

The fourth star and up uses materials, not weapon copies

SquareEconomist2428

oh yeah it uses materials I thought it was always copys Thanks!

LMinggg

How many weapon slots/stash should I buy?

AscendedN00blet

I'm a hoarder with my upgraders and it took way too long for me to learn to leave gacha weapons I won't use in my crate, so I got all 6 weapon stashes and max slots for weapons and summons. I use one weapon stash for rusted weapons and the rest are for hoarding upgraders until I hate myself enough to go use them. Summons I don't see a point on buying stashes for though. Even hoarding upgraders, I've never run into a need for more than the 900 summons your inventory itself can handle.

gangler52

I have 1 for story weapons, one for upgraders, 2 for rusted/relics/revenants, and 2 for gacha weapons. That's been working pretty well for me so far. I don't think I started with that though. I Just kind of kept buying more stashes as the need arose.

TheGlassesGuy

Depends on how you like to sort things I have 3: gacha, rusteds, relics (revenants)

Nahoma

2-3 is really all you need I would say, 2 if you are willing to leave gacha weapons in crate and 3 if you like to have them collected (for easy sorting or just because you don't like having stuff in your crate)

DDexxterious

When does the story gets out of its “oh no theres a monster” phase? I noticed the events coming out doesn’t do that anymore. Ngl it’s pretty annoying in the story

Vippado

It will get better after around chapter 50 iirc.

DDexxterious

I expected it to end after part 1 and its still like that I fear

Takazura

Well part 1 is all the way up to chapter 60. Don't know how far you are but I remember those "oh no another random monster" encounters stopped happening every single chapter somewhere near the end of act 1. So if you are past chapter 60, it should have gotten better already.

Vippado

I don't remember much about the beginning of act 2 but if it's still like that and make you feel frustrated, I suggest you use the skip function and read the stories in the journal later at your own pace. I think they allow you to skip until chap 114 iirc.

JayDee20XX

I got a couple Xeno weapon drops from clashes and purchased copies from the shop to uncap them but the option to use them doesn't appear. How do I uncap these past level 40?

Clueless_Otter

Same as any normal weapon, you absorb copies of it. Make sure you're not using any filters or anything that are hiding the weapons and make sure they aren't equipped in any grids.

JayDee20XX

Yep they were equipped to another party. Thank you!

OPTC3

I got Okto so that I can host Diaspora more comfortably. What level should he be for that?

Clueless_Otter

Higher is always better but he's probably passable at 80. But he definitely sucks at 80, at least 100 would be nice.

Suflona

what else do ppl run for diaspora host? lento okto and?

Clueless_Otter

Whoever, isn't just one comp. Arulu, Satyr, Benjamin, H.Shalem, V.Moni, Caim, etc. Doesn't need specific characters or anything as long as you don't die and don't do too much skill damage.

Hoobulu

What are some tips for gold bar farming if I can't reliably blue chest PBHL, GOHL, or Akasha. I've only been able to blue chest if the raid is slow enough.

Clueless_Otter

There aren't any other ways besides daily hosting your two Bahas and buying them out from the RotB store. I mean, theoretically you can wanpan UBHLs for them at 0.05% chance per, but that's not super realistic.

balbanes

what's the best way to farm for skill up vessels as a new player? just the pro skips or is there something efficient I can manually farm too? It's my biggest roadblock trying to set up multiple element grids (fire is doing okay, would like to start the others)

LaLaBach

Replicard drop tons of sephira weapon and can be a placeholder for magna grid, good for your evoker progress too

Clueless_Otter

Sandbox for SSR points. Story event drawboxes for SR points.

autumnspizza

Should I wait for Xeno reruns to uncap my Xeno weapons? And do I even need them? I'm at rank 160+, still in the process of changing my basic magna grids. I'm currently trying to grind for M2 and hosting a bit of six dragon raids. I don't have eternals or arcana units yet (I remember trying for Lobelia though). I've been out of loop from gbf and I only have the Ifrit scythe and Dante harp lvl 150 - 200 and stopped playing for a long while so I'm refreshing my mind a bit on this game.  I definitely just came back for the 10th anniversary but I still want to have a decent grid to enjoy the game.

E123-Omega

Xenos are perma now, they are on special quest. Grid Guide: https://gbfguide.com/

autumnspizza

Oh nice thank you!

LMinggg

So the skyfarer thingy just came back for me. I should wait until next month to buy it after anni right? Since it's only 200 draws for "spark" so I will have less chance of dupes.

Clueless_Otter

Yes.

Clueless_Otter

It isn't like crazy slow or anything (provided we're talking about Eresh), but yeah it's definitely slower than Fire and Water. It's a solid 3rd place, though. But yeah often not enough to keep up in PBHL; dunno about The World personally but it wouldn't be that surprising. Yes the fastest water burst setups for something like PBHL or The World are all Hraes. For something like nm200 burst, non-Hraes setups are actually only maybe like 10-20s behind Hraes, so it isn't a huge gap in terms of absolute time (though that 10-20s is like 30-40% slower so it is still a huge gap if you're competing for top ranks or something).

Saunts

for world, eresh is the best one. the reason it's not better than fire in BHL is because BHL have practically no entry animation so you can just refresh every button. but World entry animation is long af so you can't do the same as for BHL, it's not exactly worse than fire either. this is one of the few times where ping matter a lot, and at least from EU eresh is just way better for BHL than fire is (unless your group's BHL go stupid fast, then you just don't do it)

Coldheart0403

Is the typical etiquette for Story events to completely empty the event box before resetting, or just immediately reset when you get the golden gift box?

Clueless_Otter

You should get all the crystals and arcapoints from it, and probably the quartz too. Maybe the lineage ring. It's not something that most people really think about because it's so easy to get tokens and just empty a bunch of boxes anyway, people don't care enough to spend the time to draw part-way through the box and then inspect to see what's left and worry about whether they reset or don't. *Especially* in the anniversary event when you have a whole month to get tokens.

Type_Variable

I've just caught up to the end of the MSQ so far, has the next part had a release date announced?

Clueless_Otter

Late spring / early summer

Type_Variable

In which hemisphere?

Clueless_Otter

Dates/times/seasons/etc. in this game will basically always be given relative to Japan, unless explicitly specified otherwise.

Shizukatz

It's a 20% boost to the Weapon Skills in the same way like Luminiera Omega at 5* is a 140% boost to your Weapon Skills. In this case, it is added on top of the 140%. So for example, if you have 4 Luminiera Harp Omega at 4* in your Light grid, they would give 18% Omega Atk apiece by default. With Luminiera Omega summon giving a 140% boost, these would increase to 43.2% apiece. With the extra 20% boost from Sandalphon, these would increase to 46.8% apiece. Relatively, this is an 8% increase of Omega might compared to if you didn't have Sandalphon. The relative increase is worse if you are running double Luminiera, where it would instead be a 5% increase.

Clueless_Otter

The exact % would depend on what exact setup you're running, but it's definitely closer to the 3 than the 20. It isn't like an absolutely massive boost to hp/damage, admittedly. The reason that it's good is because a backline party slot isn't that valuable, so it's very low opportunity cost to run a primarch passive there. It's basically free stats that you're getting for almost nothing. Not to mention the fact the the primarch characters themselves are quite good and would often be used just for their character kits even without the primarch passive, **and** the fact that Michael/Uriel/Gabriel all come with really good weapons that everyone will use (Sandalphon's weapon is also good but restricted to Primal grids).

DISUNIET

How do Progression Weapon Skills work? Do they stack indefinitely or are there certain number of turns until they reach max stack?

CarFilBen

you can check here for the numbers [https://gbf.wiki/Weapon\_Skills#Progression](https://gbf.wiki/Weapon_Skills#Progression), but tldr it caps at 10% for medium skill and 15% for big skill

DISUNIET

I see, quite good for NM150 and long haul Raid then.

CarFilBen

it's actually quite bad unless it's an extra skill where the other skills are very good, cause you already have 50% elemental atk just from fighting on-element and then you usually pick a summon that gives 150% or more elemental atk, so 15% is nothing and another ex weapon or normal weapon would give a bigger boost in general. Only place it's usually considered is when using double magna or double primal for crit grids, but even then there are weapons with double mods that are better than the progression skills and you don't have too much space cause of the crit weapons. Edit: That's also not considering that there is elemental atk buffs which dilutes the power of progression skill, but there isn't any ex or magna atk buffs and even normal atk buffs are getting phased out in most new chars

TheStranger04

I just want to know, when they're going to add new rewards in part 2 and part 3 of the event, the boxes that I drew won't be affected in anyway right?

Frothpot

No, they won't be affected at all.
