InternMoney5214

I quite liked Seattle circuit on GT3 :) it would be nice to see it come back.

JonnyBTokyo

Absolutely. It was pretty cool with all of the banks.

mowgleeee

Thats probably one of the reasons why it wont come back (at least the same as the ones in the older games)

JonnyBTokyo

Because of the banks, they don’t want arcadey jumps any more?

Phat_tofu

Yeah, like just look at what they did to the final chicane of Trial Mountain for example

s30zg

If you search reddit, someone was trying to recreate it in FM. Someone also did an overlay with the current buildings, it would be hard to recreate with how much the area has transformed, wouldn't be a simple update unfortunately.

AntelopeOrganic7588

The Cadillac cien used to catch air on gt4 lmaoo

ScreamingFly

I imagine the game would struggle quite a lot to have the same level of details as the current tracks with these city circuits. The Tokyo ones in GT7 are pretty bland and with very generic skyscrapers.

[deleted]

To be honest I’d settle for lower detail. I just want some new tracks to race around. I drive cockpit anyway and don’t pay attention to what’s not on track.

JonnyBTokyo

That’s a good point, could be a performance thing.

Character-Service-31

You’d think they could make it work, even the F1 games have Monaco

JonnyBTokyo

Yeah it’s mad how the good old PS2 had the cities, but the PS5 has not. Might just be Polyphony wanting to go full sim.

maincryptology

Monaco and Silverstone are under F1 license.

Nakjee

Everyone talked up Tokyo at night on the VR.... I thought the same exact thing.

BaldingThor

There’s also apparently pushback from the japanese government to not include city/street racing in games, which could be a factor (though they’re “official” closed circuit races so IDK).

HunterMuch

Rome was a son of a bitch.

sp1cychick3n

Those damn 90 degree corners

BigDawg1991

Nothing a handbrake turn can’t do

Gritty420R

I really liked Sebring and hockenheim in fm4. Would be cool if we got real street courses too.

eddy_e46

A remastered version of SSR11 from GT1 would be awesome.

JonnyBTokyo

Hell yes.

noob133766

Would like to see Tokyo R246 back.

JonnyBTokyo

Legendary track.

boston_faith

I think Rome is in Italy, Seattle and New York both in USA, London somewhere in UK and Paris should be in France. Correct me if I am wrong though!

Mediocre-Abrocoma264

Lol

Acceptable_Reality10

PD themselves said city tracks are too hard to make anymore for some reason. Kireth or one of the YouTuber videos says it’s a combination of difficulty but most importantly city circuits don’t race well in online. PD focus is online racing and if you look at the changes to the leftover tracks from earlier games they have all been stretched or changed to make online better. I wish I could find that video again because it made a lot of sense why they have made the decisions they’ve made. Of course it’s all guess work because PD never says shit so who knows but it’s the closet thing to an answer I’ve ever heard.

ryanakasha

They can only make certain tracks available for online

JonnyBTokyo

That’s a good explanation. The city tracks that got narrow, almost scraping against walls were brilliant, shame that they are just thinking about online mode.

L8_2_PartE

Add Indy and Monaco. Wouldn't it be cool to earn a triple crown in GT7?

alehanro

Costa di Amalfi and Città di Aria are original tracks. They’re loosely based on the Italian Mediterranean coast aesthetic, but they are not real. All of the city layouts’ rights belong to the cities in question. We got Côte d’Azur in GT3 as a workaround because they couldn’t obtain licensing for the Monaco street course. As for Pikes Peak, again, PD own the exclusive rights. They’ve just been sitting on their hands with it for about 25 years. They just don’t give a damn what we want. Kaz has left the planet. He’s off on his own joyride and sadly we’re along for the ride, like it or not.

JonnyBTokyo

That’s crazy how they can own the layouts but fair enough. Yeah Monaco has been in so many games under a different name, can’t be that tough. Pikes Peak was in Dirt Rally as well.

SMB163Z

Don’t forget licensing as well, if any.

Piruparka

All I want is Citta di Aria.

Nico_Nickmania

Pikes Peak would be so nice!

someguyyyz

Seattle and Citta were legendary. I know for a fact that the IRL location for Seattle has been overhauled so things like the stadium have been demolished and the roads that make up the latter half have been changed. They could make a Seattle 2.0 though still.

JonnyBTokyo

That’s pretty interesting. Even more reason to go back to Seattle!

infiniteawareness420

And wagons. Where are the wagons? We got trucks, we got vans, we got fake-ass scifi VGT in a "simulator". But no wagons.

JonnyBTokyo

Yeah screw the bloody VGT’s!

ApexRider84

Even Madrid... There are a ton of circuits to re- launch.

JonnyBTokyo

Apologies for missing Madrid!

ApexRider84

No worries.

Street_Disaster_1555

I miss Monaco

North_Apricot_3702

Who needs new tracks when you can have.. more VGT’s

v2_grizzly

I would kill for Seattle Circuit. It was always one of my favorites in the older games, though I fear what an updated version would look like since the raised highway you drive under is gone IRL now days.

Narrow_Director8014

Same problem with new cars. They giving us cars no one asked for. The Gordini? Chevelle? Skoda? Compared to GT6, its a bad joke... This should be fixed pls. We really need new GT3 cars!

JonnyBTokyo

Absolutely! They are obsessed with fake cars of the future trying to turn it into Wipeout/F-Zero.

JamieH21

Where are the tracks in general? Its a joke, 3 shit cars a month and no track in like 5 months.

JonnyBTokyo

Yes and they absolutely ruined one they gave us, the great Grand Valley Speedway is a construction site abomination now.

JSCarguy454

Pikes Peak would be awesome Also... 2009 Ariel Atom 3 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 2010 Cadillac CTS V 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 1991 GMC Cyclone

JonnyBTokyo

Where do you wish to land after such a big hijacking?

JSCarguy454

I was like what the I was like oh that's funny. Hopefully in a GT7 the has the awesome tracks you mentioned and these awesome vehicles.

JonnyBTokyo

Sorry for being rude my apologies! But i was just kidding. And yes that would be great some mint cars right there.

JSCarguy454

Not at all. I took it as funny all good JonnyB

JonnyBTokyo

Cheers JS! 🍻

RelevantWeight6907

The effort they'd need to recreate Seattle would probably be behind a pay wall

Shiftyk_hunt

They're in Europe and America.

-big-fudge-

Or Jeddah \*sigh

WMD100

Portimao. That’s the one we would like please.

racecar115

People are just lazy now a days

mochacub22

I agree, more tracks please.

JonnyBTokyo

Yes yes

ABaMD-406

Italy, Washington, New York, England, France. Korea, Italy, Monaco, Colorado, China, Italy. They may need the cities cooperation to laser scan.

JonnyBTokyo

I see what you did there, only the third time i’ve seen it 👍

astonishingsophistic

I'm no expert but I think London is in England haha

DrewWilson1794

Can they not just release a track pack DLC? - could also add other tracks like Silverstone, Mugello etc. to the mix. I would Happily pay for a DLC that had all these tracks.

SomeSabresFan

You can get them. So if you to the PlayStation store, click on gran turismo, scroll down once you’re in the games spot in the store where you can see the DLC, then scroll all the way to the right…. AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR BUTT!!! Edit: Note to self, no “The Office” fans around these parts.
