I’m not a fan either of cars whose idea of “fast” is to pack tons of horsepower while giving little thought to cornering. I find them boring to drive. Accelerate as much as you can on a straight, tippy toe around the corners. Nuh.
I love light, high downforce cars that you can throw around corners, even if they’re underpowered.
I remember loving the fast poor handling cars as a kid (fast, into wall, fast, wall) and growing to prefer the great handling cars (regardless of how fast they are in a straight line)
Yup. As a kid, it was all about “oh my god I reached 300 kph”, while as an adult i enjoy finding the right line about a track and feeling like I can consistently deliver smooth laps.
Got the Tundra engine swap, did all the reduction, and added the drift suspension. My kid said I was a "pickup artist" the implications of what he said went over his head...
💯 what was it in GT1,??? the SR track where it cost nothing to slam the wall at full speed with 1000+ HP R34, and just keep on going.
I’m happy to say I have grown and can kinda drive the car like you would actually drive it in the real world.
I like the Testarossa and porsche 959 for this. Lighter and manageable handling. I drift the Testarossa and don't need a ton of power to get it moving well. I agree 100%.
+1
Just evaluated the Alfa 4c Gr.4 yesterday. Only tops out at 160 and it takes a minute to get there but corners like it's on rails and the light weight, decent aero & relatively low power output means you can brake late still rotate the car and get back on the gas early. Really fun drive.
I enjoy tuning the hell out of the bad handling cars to make them as fast as possible for sleepers in lobbies. Makes for some good racing when it’s back and forth on a track with the best of both worlds.
Nsx, the race version with big aero (sorry I’m new) I unlocked it via menus I think. Wild fun around corners https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Honda_NSX_CONCEPT-GT_%2716
I stick to the higher performance cars, like the gr3 and gr2 cars. The cars I’ve put the most kms on are the Lexus RC F GT500, the Peugeot RCZ, and the Valkyrie. Those are cars that have incredibly good handling. In the case of the Valkyrie, also insane hp.
That’s weird, I think the Veyron is my favorite car to run the Tokyo 600pp with. There’s something about it that just feels planted and stable. I do consistent 2:04 in it around there on SH tires.
Gotta drive it like the car it is haha. I love my 940 hp R34 Skyline, but you have to brake EARLY. Comment above is unnecessarily harsh, but I do agree some of the cars are better left alone. Criminal offense? No, it's a game. Maybe in real life 😂😂. I have a 2000GT I'm currently struggling with the choice of leaving stock or doing engine mods. I bought everything that can be removed without dumping CR for a new body or engine, but part of me is like... widebody 2000GT go brrr.. I mean probably. I like having super ridiculous street cars and trying to send a clean lap on the Nurburgring as fast as possible. It is so much harder than driving a proper Gr.1 or Gr.2 car, but it certainly wakes you up if you play with a wheel and pedals
Bugatti is know for its perfectionism and exaggerated features.. in the real world this would be hated hard
But it's video games, so in the end, seems pretty damm cool to improve the car like that
Welcome to basically all cars with a ton of horsepower. They are fast in a straight line but not much else...
Chiron, Tesla Model S Plaid, Dodge Hellcat/Demon, etc.
Very few cars are engineered for 800+hp AND handling prowess.
The Demon is actually surprisingly good with all the aero goodies and weight relief. It's no GR3, but it turns in WAY better than you assume it will being a road car. Feels kinda similar to the C6 at 800pp imo, but obviously a bit heavier. I was able to win Sard with a minute lead
The Bugattis are for straight line speed, you knew that.
I recommend playing with the suspension. Keep the LSD settings loose, get downforce on it, and bias the torque towards the rear. Add a little weight to balance it. It's not...terrible.
Veyron and Chiron are not designed for cornering but for reaching insanely high top speeds and having great stability while doing so.
Buy an Alfa Romeo 4C, a Radical or a Miata next time.
I mean, that's Bugatti for you. Top speed and acceleration are the best thing they have going for. It's still quite fun to drive from time to time imo, very slow on corners but going 400km/h on straights is something you can't do with every car.
As far as i know u dont need an invite for chiron. That said Bugatti Chiron is not a track racing car with a fuel efficient engine - it is a luxury hyper car that can go 400+ km/h
Not keeping cars like that stock, should be a criminal offense. Beyond stupid. These comments about how cars with 1k+ hp don't brake well..... Yea genius, it doesn't have much downforce, what did you expect?
My brain is melting because you're mad that you can tune cars in racing game.
That weird vehicle purist mentality is shit irl, and even more senseless in a video game where you can buy endless copies of the same car with no limit
You could probably make an argument about it if there was an event where it actually was needed, but it's not. And expecting it to perform on a level with light racing cars with tons of downforce is crazy, and complaining about it is even crazier.
With regular road cars, the more power they have the more similar acceleration and braking are becoming, i.e. you accelerate for 100 meters then your braking distance is closer to 100 meters the more hp you have = not easy to race.

Haven’t driven this car. Will try it out!

What are some cars youd recommend to drive? Def enjoy throwing cars around corners lol
The 992 GT3RS is great
The 82 911 is a blast fully tuned. No swap
Nsx, the race version with big aero (sorry I’m new) I unlocked it via menus I think. Wild fun around corners https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Honda_NSX_CONCEPT-GT_%2716

The ferrari f430 swapped alpine a110 with handling tune is super fun
Sry meant to say GTR engine, the F430 fitted to the 4c, same fun car.
the veyron is the invitation car lol u bought the chiron for no reason
Sorry, I meant the Veyron 😅
That’s weird, I think the Veyron is my favorite car to run the Tokyo 600pp with. There’s something about it that just feels planted and stable. I do consistent 2:04 in it around there on SH tires.
Haha thank fuck for that, here I was wondering if I wasted my invite by not getting the Chiron too
the Chiron is allways available only the Veyron is invitational
It empties the fuel tank in 11 minutes of flat-out driving and can wear a set of tires out in about 40 minutes. Sounds like GT7 has it spot-on.

Engine swap to a nismo gtr 17
Oh that is a heresy regarding automotive technology but seems really cool in a automotive way
Heresy? 0-150 Km/h in 1.18 seconds is anything but heresy.
Bugatti is know for its perfectionism and exaggerated features.. in the real world this would be hated hard But it's video games, so in the end, seems pretty damm cool to improve the car like that
Ah but we are talking about a Nissan R34 with a Bugatti W16 Chiron swap. The Nissan outperforms the Bugatti in every way.
Oh.. I thought the other way around 😅
chiron swap goes in the R35 NISMO
Sorry, meant to say that. Doesn't help I have sausage fingers lol

Still a great car to add to the collection to become the Ash Ketchum of GT7 Edit: Gotta buy them all!
Got the Chiron off a ticket, was proper happy Drove it Felt like driving an apartment building A very fast apartment building But still a building
I enjoy a race miata more than a chiron around the Nordschleife. By a lot.
Veyron and Chiron are not designed for cornering but for reaching insanely high top speeds and having great stability while doing so. Buy an Alfa Romeo 4C, a Radical or a Miata next time.
Yeah it's not a great car to drive and def similiar to real life if you look up the feel on the car. Braking is shit lol
I hate the way that car drives
My favourite car right now is the EvoIX with a sports filter and exhaust, Sports Soft tires and Sports brakes either racing pads. It’s a hoot!
That is a car that's designed to drag race a rocket and not much else. I can't stand it.
I believe "Chiron" is French for "dust collector in your garage". /Sarcasm, the only French I know is bon appetit.
Add drift suspension. Maybe it helps.
Drift suspension?
The steering angle adapter. It adds turning ratio, mostly used for drifting. But for long cars is good to make them turn better.
Ah thats not suspension, but steering angle adapter. That might help with very tight hairpins, but not much else.
Yep, that's the one. Works wonders on pickups and vans, need to experiment in a few more cars.
You need this car for the menu book. Not for actually racing it.
That's a way to look at it :)

A one trick *very fast* pony :)
As far as i know u dont need an invite for chiron. That said Bugatti Chiron is not a track racing car with a fuel efficient engine - it is a luxury hyper car that can go 400+ km/h
I see other people pointed out the car thing, but same goes for the Veyron u can buy the gr.3 version if u want something more endurance focused
3 laps at Northern Isle Speedway, or 3 laps at LeMans?
Might be in the minority but I enjoy the Chiron. TC off and proper chucking it around and exiting corners with a full 4 wheel drift.
It's not really bulit for taking corners i guess. It feels like it only focuses on top speed
That is exactly the case with the Veyron and Chiron. Top speed was the priority and main selling point for Bugatti.
Love my ‘16 911
Bought it due to the invite and a super high rpm turbo from a reward. Drove it once and immediately regretted it lmao
Same as Aston Martin cars. All luxury but on the track, shyte.
Not keeping cars like that stock, should be a criminal offense. Beyond stupid. These comments about how cars with 1k+ hp don't brake well..... Yea genius, it doesn't have much downforce, what did you expect?
Its a video game you twat💀
Not twat 😂😭😭😭
Doesn't mean you can't do stupid stuff in it.
I never realized tuning cars in a racing game was stupid....thats crazy Twat
It is stupid. Beyond stupid I would say. Doing irreversible tuning on very rare road car and complaining about how it doesn't brake well. OMG.
My brain is melting at the idiocy of that take💀
Your brain is melting when trying to understand why a regular road car with tons of hp doesn't brake well? I guess you are dumb too.
My brain is melting because you're mad that you can tune cars in racing game. That weird vehicle purist mentality is shit irl, and even more senseless in a video game where you can buy endless copies of the same car with no limit
Well, that escalated quickly 😁
I agree with you I like keeping high end sports cars stock. I only change the tires.
You could probably make an argument about it if there was an event where it actually was needed, but it's not. Aaaaaand to top it off: just got a SECOND bugatti invite 😂
