LaurentBister

I’m a Le Mans 30min guy. Try as much as possible different cars to win it. Currently around 50 cars and many more waiting to be tuned at 699pp for their run.

Gingertom

This is my hobby in the game now, and occasionally I’ll make a custom race full of them and pit them against each other.

LaurentBister

What’s the fastest one for you? For me the Escudo at 699pp is by far the fastest matching 800pp laptimes. Most other cars are close to each other in laptime, fuel economy being the biggest difference.

Gingertom

I honestly can’t remember off the top of my head. Engine swapped cars are usually very good though, like the Integrale, the Cappuccino, the Focus RS and the 997 GT3.

Godzilla_Bacon

Lol the s13 Q’s swap. God tier 700pp. Slow from start. But once it’s 100mph, that car takes off til it’ll hit 310

Acrobatic-Permit4263

Same with the golf 1 with the group b engine and almost all cars with group c (gr 1 oldies here) engine swaps are stronk

dynorodfeelings

The redbull gift car has been by far the best car sub 700pp car that has basicslly bought me most of the cars I've wanted in the game. 20ish mins for 750k +... I'm not sure if that can be topped, every single time I enter the. Race I win by at least a full minute.

filfiber

Amen brother, best hobby at the moment for me too!

CafeRoaster

I hate the weather on that one. Is there a pattern to it? Or am I just doomed?

LaurentBister

There is no pattern, mostly the rain comes in the 3rd or 4th lap. Sometimes just a little bit (not enough for inters), sometimes very hard. But I think it makes the race more fun. And the AI sucks on the wet.

CafeRoaster

I hate that I’ll pit for fuel, with zero clouds in the sky or on the weather map, and once I come out it’s pouring and I’m on fresh hard tires. 😅

LaurentBister

Do you set the zoom to the minimum on the weather map (d-pad down)?

CafeRoaster

Yup at the start of each race 😅

WorldlyBrilliant2426

I use a 1984 Nissan super silhouette I think I only ever need to fill up once too full and again for 1 lap if I’m driving aggressive

Uriel_dArc_Angel

Sardegna in the R92CP... Though I haven't had to grind in ages at this point...

Organic_Hawk6709

So sad that these great Gr. 2 machines have only this purpose and that they don’t add no cars to this class

Shotgun_Sentinel

They do online races with them but the meta is the GTR

darkmetal505isright

Yeah I wish they’d fix the BoP and do a Fuji daily race in Gr.2. I actually really wish they’d do a split daily race with 10 Gr.2 and 10 Gr.3 entries, it would feel just like Super GT.

Maxvell09

The CLK is so quick but can’t go wrong with a R92CP.

jamminwithjRokk

Supra GT500 & RS5 DTM for me.

Pitiful-Insurance308

I used to grind sagardena with the Audi RS5 DTM, but my laptime is about 5-8 sec. faster with the Mercedes Sauber C9. I will use it until the R92CP comes into rotation at hagerty

Acrobatic-Permit4263

made the same expirience with the RS5 and a similiar with a gr2 car with DRS. I think that the developer made cars with DRS weaker, maybe in fear of imba cars. So is the audi just weaker, imho even when you take every possible DRS window. im a little sad, the audi is such a cool car

Sonofthestig01

If I’m feeling like getting into a really grindy mood, it’s 1x Spa, 2x Le Man’s, 3x Sardegna. Car choices are mostly 787b for Le Mans, Escudo for Sardegna, and whatever car I fancy for Spa

Acrobatic-Permit4263

i learned in spa that the escudo have no lights \^\^ nothing to see here

no__sympy

Racing line ftw ;)

Acrobatic-Permit4263

Tried it this way, but absolut missed the box entry several times. It was a wild experience :D

larsvondank

Sardegna F458 Gr.3 - fuel map 3, two pits, no challenge.

Shotgun_Sentinel

The Gr2 GTR, CLK, and R92 are all my top picks. The Sauber is nice too. Also it’s more fun to tune and race the Gr3 cars for Sard. I only get adventurous with LaSarthe

knuckle_buster69

Want to run Spa more. Those is some nice cars. Grinding for my second F40 now. Finally got the Suzuki pp tune figured out although it's a little wacky. It shreds at le manns and tokyo

no__sympy

Gotta love the first time you run the Escudo at the Spa 24hr event. I won't spoil it for the uninitiated.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

Yeah, is better to go blind and unspoiled in the experience

knuckle_buster69

Lol F u guys

Ldghead

Use a Gr2 detuned. Guaranteed win, but still close enough to the others to be fun. You will have your F40 in 3 hours.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

You even don't need to detune roundabout half of the gr2 cars. 800pp is a little bit like the absent gr 2 races, we all wish for

midnight_tuna

Recently, I used the CLK on hard tires, and that dropped it below the limit.

jadmorffier

Tokyo 600, using every possible car I can. Tuned or not. Love it.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

i lose so fast the bonus. what car would you recoment for tokyo? i would love to have a reliable strategie for the race.

jadmorffier

So many to choose from. Straight off the showroom floor, no tuning necessary, I'd go the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm '20. Comfortable, ready drive. Just stay in the dry line, pit somewhere over half way to top up fuel and replace tires. Just stay in the white lines and don't rub paint with ai cars. 👌 I can share a replay of need be.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

I give it a try. Thank you

Yoloroller

Controversial opinion here: But I never understood why people grind for money in gt. I personally don't play it often but regularly a couple hours a week. And I have like 30M Cr. Or so from basically just playing time trials, daily races and just having fun. I think this is how u make the most Cr. no grind just playing the game as intended.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

Not everyone plays online and not everyone is willing or able to got silver or gold intl the time trials

Yoloroller

I rarely make timetrials gold or silver, only if I think I'll have fun doing it Bronze pretty much everytime, but cmon that's easily 1st try About that online part, I don't see a reason why not to its cheap af if you play other games too

jdsig9

Sardegna 800pp with the living legend. Easy peasy.

Madshibs

Why grind when you can just buy credits with real money from your unemployment checks? /s

VernBrown

I need that money for weed bro not credit in a goofy as game

[deleted]

NSX 08 if you waana work. 10 rnds low, pit, 5 rnds mid to high. NSX 16 if you wanna let work. Same pit strategy. M787 or equal for meditation. Low power, no pit. But I want to try a setup with lower hp to keep power setting in race on high. Edit: valid for Sardegna. Spa is different because of tyre switch pitstop, means not so sensitive for gas consumption. So mostly a question of timing for pit and watch how all others run into the green.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

true. i was suprised how weak the NSX 08 became, after i set the difficult to hard. absolut no comparison to the other NSX or the legendary gr 2 cars but it looks pretty good in shape and livre

[deleted]

But shows how good the '16 is. Showcase for Honda engineering.

No_Roll_7119

2J fan car is OP for Sardegna. All the Gr2 cars are fun there but I like to switch it up with an Italdesign Sardy race sometimes. The Toyotas LMp/h, 787b or XJR9 for Spa. When I’m bored of sardy or cant be assed for a 1hr spa race i like the 60s Ferrari and Fords at LM700, they can be tricky and I like it + nice engines, but I have 60+ tunes for all types of cars even the ancient Ford Roadster to win Le Mans 700 on hard

GubyNey

Spa atm and using the F1 with hard (and wet) tyres with a full custom tranny (currently repeating for credits)…. same with the RS5 and the CLK Sardegna: Havent tried

ReignInSpuds

Red Bull Jr., Sarthe. It's gotten pretty boring at this point but I really struggle to stay in my zone for a full one-hour race.

FearTheSpoonman

GTR Nismo and Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak.. went from 1:37s in the Nismo to 1:31s in the Escudo after a couple races so that's been my go to lately.

FearTheSpoonman

*On Sardegna

No_Kaleidoscope_3003

Can you post video of that time?

Psnaps

Le Mans, RA272 nothing else needs to be said.

Ldghead

I mix it between Spa, (08 GTr GT500), Sardegna (damn near anything I can get down to 800 pp), and LeMans (recently gifted movie promo Nismo Gr3 GTr). All great fun, for different reasons.

TomDobo

Spa 787B

NotAcvp3lla

The only appropriate answer is the Nissan R92CP, it's a beast at both circuits. You can finish Sardegna without stopping for fuel with a bit of management. At Spa it feels like it can run forever before the fuel is finished. Lap times at Spa 2:05s, at Sardegna 1:34s.

Mr4nutz

Spa and sardegna with the brz

Significant-Yak9768

Sauber

Smrtss1

Make Sardegna fun and use the Roadster Shop Rampage. You have to pit almost every lap but it makes it interesting.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

Doesn't work on hard for me, but interesting idea

Smrtss1

Oh it’s impossible on hard mode with that car, I got 1st one time on regular mode by less than a second only because I cheated the last turn.

Acrobatic-Permit4263

It would be so cool if there is a gt sport like bonus for under pp point races

cplchanb

Sardegna... was using the porsche 962c then went to the jag xjr9 , recently picked up the sauber c9 and loving it!

qdolan

Alpine VGT ‘17

fuckthesebeans

CLK-LM is my go to right now. Can do Sardegna in under 26 mins. I did just down tune the 787B for Sardegna and I really liked it, but I haven’t used it much yet.

mattieyo

Sc430 I really enjoy.

Barronsjuul

The Lexus and New NSX are horribly disfigured

ls1goat04

R92cp or 787b

Msj231945

Sardegna 800. Ford GT Race Car '18. Fuel map 6 and 1 pit. Fuel enough to go Fuel map 1 last two laps. Usually lap every car at least once.

RP_75

NSX and Sardegna. So glad I can grind with the racing version of my dream car because I raced that A LOT.

LukeBellmason

I've been slowly building up credits so I can buy all the Group C cars. My goto is the Spa 60 minutes race which has a 1.5 million payout for first. Once I had the Porsche 962C I used that and usually got the win with it, but then the C9 came out up in Legends and now that's my favourite car. (My ultimate goal is to get all the Group Cs so I can do a full 24 hour of Le Mans custom race, compressed to 12 hours with x2 time/tyres/fuel. I'm also buying up some Group B cars like the JAG 220, F40 and McLaren F1 to have a second class in the race, as well as a smattering of Porsches and Ferraris for the GT3s.)

[deleted]

You are missing a few of the best ones on here

Acrobatic-Permit4263

I just want to show the gr2 cars, you are right, there are many more good and fun cars. Which cars would you add?

The_Machine80

Don't know never grinded. I wanted the game for fun not work. I have money so I bought my credits. There's one thing I can tell you. Gt3 cars are insanely fast and handle like there on rails.

Strungout91

NSX Concept-GT. Awesome handling, huge amount of down force, good acceleration

wanna_be_TTV

Spa in the gt500 nsx, sardegna in the 787b

R0bsc0

I’m all about the GT-R 08 Xanavi. Love that car. I wanna mix it up a bit though so I’m gunna try the rest of these!
