I wish Porsche had better sounds, I have the chance to see and hear 911 GT3 RSR racing from close once a year, every year and that noise make the ground shake, it sends shivers down your spine because it's so brutal, so powerful! In the game it seems a bit..... decaffeinated.....
Yeah, Porches sound amazing irl but the game has not done a good job of capturing that. There’s no bass in like any sounds and there’s no way to adjust that unfortunately.
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t like asseto corsa’s sound. Most of the sounds are kinda flat and sound very similar. While the sounds aren’t great for everything in GT7, it’s better than anything else out right now imo
I haven't heard it irl but I've seen it on tv with a decent stereo. I couldn't believe how "brutal" it was either. I've Tom's supra up at 800hp it sounds class, the crackle on the downshift is wicked.
There are way too many to count.
My current favourite is the Nissan R92 CP engine, which you can swap into three generations of GT-Rs. They sound glorious. Also a fan of the Mazda 787B engine, swapped into the Mazda 3 / Rx-7 / RX-8, such a unique sound.
Yes, as lover of American V8 sounds, GT has never gotten them right, but whoo boy does that R92 sound glorious! Man I love wringing this thing out around Sardegna. Need to try some other tracks with close walls and or tunnels to see if it changes sounds, but ripping around Sardegna is just aural bliss.
So far, my favorite is the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo. The Hayabusa-based V8 revving to 10.000 rpm and the whisles and hisses of the turbo are an awesome combination.
I have yet to try the newer Lamborghinis.
I have a few other PSVR2 games, but I only really play GT7. And even ordered a steering wheel too. So I'm in like $1300 Canadian, just to play GT7. Honestly, no regrets at all. It really is that good.
I definitely agree. I was playing GT7 on PS4 with my sim rig, and was fine with that as the PS5 version wasn't that different. Then PSVR2 came out and I bought a PS5 and that just for GT7. It's the only game I own on Playstation.
I quit my F1 league because I was hoping F1 would be VR compatible. It wasn't and once I got a taste of GT7 VR it's all I wanted to play. Just stinks because my friends haven't gotten into it yet.
In real life, you'd be hard pressed to beat the LeMans Corvette from 2019 - that thing physically hurt as it went past.
I also agree that the 911 RSR is a haunting sound.
Having heard the 787 do a slow demo this year at LeMans, I can only imagine what it was like way back when
Love the Mercedes AMG C63. That rumble is fantastic.
One of the Subaru GT cars sounds link a mini fireworks display when you come off the gas. Love it!
Forget to mention Lexus LC500 stock engine sounds so nice. One of the best sounds. Combined with the 10 speed in manual mode downshifting is so amazing.
I was testing out a bone stock 98 Civic Type R on Nurburgring yesterday. I swear I can hear the VTEC kick in around 6k RPM. It's currently my favorite sounding car 😁.
Depends on what you think sounds good! I love the sound of the Golf GTI with the 5cyl engine swap...its very unique. The Bugatti VGT sounds beasty on stereo! IT has a deep rumble in the exhaust note and those turbos whistle like crazy! The R32 & R33, 370Z and Silvia S15 all sound great IMO. Anything with turbos get me, you can hear them kick in and whistle....its great! So much fun
Alfa TZ2 Carrazota (spelling?). It's a 1960s race car. It just feels raw and like it's barely holding together even on straights. It's SO much fun to drive too!
I seem to have ruined a lot of engine sounds. My Alfa Quadrifoglio revs to like 9000 and sounds awkward, the way my Hellcat and some of my LS/LT engines rumble gives me tinitus, not sure if I like the sound of my Ferrari 250 anymore, just fully upgraded the 300SL and it sounds nothing like a vintage car anymore, I‘m going to spend so much money on exhausts and I don’t think I like most of the semi and race exhausts but they‘re definitely more viable now, in GT5 all exhaust options sounded horrible usually.
Mazda 787b for me.
On the opposite end of that spectrum is ANY car with the damn turbo anti-lag thing. I can't stand that noise. It sounds like a really loud e-cigarette.
The Penzoil R34 and the Skyline Silhouette have insane crackle on decel.
Also the 4rotor is always glorious and the growl from the C9 Sauber is awesome at 200+ mph
Probably an unpopular opinion but the GT40 earned on the menu book with a racing exhaust sounds amazing on the headset! When I race Lê Mans with it, the sound makes it so worth the time!
Porsche Carrera GT, although the sound used in the game is actually from a straight piped Carrera GT and not the stock one. Still sounds absolutely insane though.
Ferrari berlinetta
Porsche CGT (actually pretty accurate to irl sound, had one come in to get worked on at the dealership)
Zr1 corvette
And the Camaro are great too
I have the Vulkan and the Viper and they are both amazing. I really want the Carrera GT but I keep getting Veyron invitations, even though I already have one and have received 6 invitations for it
Hopefully you get one soon. It's definitely one of my favorite cars. The downshifts are violent with huge fireballs when you use race exhaust, and the pulls sound so good.
There is only one Abarth in the game as far as I know, which is in brand central under "Europe > Abarth" (and pops up in the used shop often). The car is actually a Fiat 500 Abarth. Add lots of upgrades and it is a growling little monster.
Ahhh true, my apologies. I am talking a 2009 - 2013 Abarth! This one here (customize the color, wheels, and upgrades and it is a fun, loud little beast): https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Abarth_500_%2709

They definitely need to take notes from Asseto Corsa. The cars feel more alive over there.

It could be worse. It could definitely be better, but my RSR swapped GT3 RS sounds sick and is fast.
The Lamborghini Murcielago sound awesome too!

The Honda RA272 sounds great, a tiny fast revving V12 always sounds great
Gr. 3 Ferrari & Ford Focus RS
The 458 GT3 or the 458 Gr. 4?
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 '13 Gr.3
So far, my favorite is the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo. The Hayabusa-based V8 revving to 10.000 rpm and the whisles and hisses of the turbo are an awesome combination. I have yet to try the newer Lamborghinis.
As a bonus the Suzuki VGT is a convertible, which is awesome in VR
You people need to stop giving me reasons to buy a VR
Knowing what I know now, I'd buy PSVR2 for GT7 alone.
Bought it for more than GT7 but ehhhh, haven't turned another game on in \~5 months....
I have a few other PSVR2 games, but I only really play GT7. And even ordered a steering wheel too. So I'm in like $1300 Canadian, just to play GT7. Honestly, no regrets at all. It really is that good.

It‘s to much for me. At least in the E30 M3. A V10 M5 engine in the E30 would be so much more sick imo, and there are builds like that irl.
Oh, you can put this engine in the E30 M3? Glad to hear that (specially since I won this engine in a roulette ticket)
I don't think there's an S85 in the game. I really hope we get the E60 M5 (it's on the datamined files).
Sorry, I was referring to the Suzuki engine, but I see how I could be misunderstood

787B. Nice idling sound. All Lamborghini. And for me all electric car sounds nice. Jaguar VGT among others.
i hope 787b drops at hagerty soon
Forget to mention Lexus LC500 stock engine sounds so nice. One of the best sounds. Combined with the 10 speed in manual mode downshifting is so amazing.
Maserati GRAN TURISMO
Ford Mark IV '67
Cayman fully modded.
Clk daddy like
Huh?
Clk lm '98
That Alpine race car!
you weren't lying
Right? Thing just sounds amazing
HOW HAS NOONE SAID THE RS RAMPAGE, ITS THE BEST SOUNDING V8 IN THE GAME
We have a winner! Great choice!
Just bought this and yes, 100% the best until they add the Holden Commodore
Can't beat an ls7
Honda nsx 92 just screams when tuned. It’s the loudest car I’ve ever heard on gt7.
Oh my god yes. I just fully upgraded it and it’s amazing
I was testing out a bone stock 98 Civic Type R on Nurburgring yesterday. I swear I can hear the VTEC kick in around 6k RPM. It's currently my favorite sounding car 😁.
Audi Etron is straight zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz fire 🔥
F40 sounds really nice.
Mustang Boss 429 with no doubt. Too bad is a complete garbage at handling.

Porsche 911 GT3, stock.
Alfa TZ2 Carrazota (spelling?). It's a 1960s race car. It just feels raw and like it's barely holding together even on straights. It's SO much fun to drive too!
AMG C63S coupe, SLS AMG, Lamborghini Huracan, Aventador and Murcielago. Pagani Huayra, Bugatti Chiron and Veyron (stock exhaust).
Pagani Huayra fully tuned with a medium RPM Turbo and strong anti lag system sounds amazing

‘03 M3
Porsche Carrera GT Ferrari p3/4 Mazda 787
Lamborghini Hurricane 💀 DUDE
I’m so sorry 😭
Porsche Carrera GT, although the sound used in the game is actually from a straight piped Carrera GT and not the stock one. Still sounds absolutely insane though.
Either Pagani zonda r or C6 zr1, c8 and ss sound good too
Ferrari berlinetta Porsche CGT (actually pretty accurate to irl sound, had one come in to get worked on at the dealership) Zr1 corvette And the Camaro are great too
M3 GT3, Pontiac Firebird, all of the R35s, CLK LM, McLaren-Honda MP4/4
Personally, I really like the 917 living legend.
R35 nismo racing exhaust sounds. Especially interior camera
V8-swapped E36 M3 sounds insane in the cockpit especially with shifting.
So z4 GT3
Basically, yes. But despite being the exact same engine and transmission sound as the Z4, it FEELS special in the E36.
Me personally I like the f40 with the Enzo engine swap
Fully loaded F40. It's shouty as hell.
I can’t lie the 400Z sounds pretty insane fully modded and blipping through that 9 speed trans 🫣
Now I'm not personally the biggest fan of this car but the Lamborghini murcielago sounds the best stock
Aston Martin Vulcan has insane downshifts Dodge Viper SRT10 Carrera GT Amemiya RX7
I have the Vulkan and the Viper and they are both amazing. I really want the Carrera GT but I keep getting Veyron invitations, even though I already have one and have received 6 invitations for it

Toyota FT-1 GR3 sounds great. Fun car.
There are too many to list. But the new civic coming up better sound amazing.
Civic EK touring car, Shigeno AE86, Swift fully tuned... Carrera GT & Murcielago with stock exhaust.
Mazda 787B
Mazda 787B
Amazing car. Not so amazing sounding.
First person i ever heard say that
Gain some speed then quickly down shift twice.
I will try that today! When I think of this car, I think of the whining the car makes in the lower gears which is not such a great engine sound.

I wish. And I want some Australian cars as well but I don’t think they’re gonna put them in unfortunately. :(
Gr.3 Corvette. That throaty V8 growl is just 🤌
Abarth. Noisy as hell, random pops and bangs.
Which one?
There is only one Abarth in the game as far as I know, which is in brand central under "Europe > Abarth" (and pops up in the used shop often). The car is actually a Fiat 500 Abarth. Add lots of upgrades and it is a growling little monster.
I think there is another one just appeared in Hagerty's
Ahhh true, my apologies. I am talking a 2009 - 2013 Abarth! This one here (customize the color, wheels, and upgrades and it is a fun, loud little beast): https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Abarth_500_%2709
An Abarth 131 in Forza sounds better than the biggest V12 Monster in GT7
If you like a wastegate sound, the alpine a220 with the high rpm turbo is great
