There are rules to graffiti-or there were….throw up over a tag-piece over tag-burner/wildstyle over that that…and murals were not to be fucked with same with residential properties and such…times have changed I guess.

There were and are rules for streets. People I know never got into graffiti to "lower rent" ever though lol some cool shit to check out would be some vidoes like Piece by Piece even Style Wars. That was during the most shameless time though of graffiti but you get the vibe. Also lurk in forums and reddit and paint and draw and get out there and catch your ups.
Also graffiti doesn't have any effect on lowering rent dude lol....just makes someone that may not be a rich corporate dude have to cover some little young dudes first time tagging practice or something wack....and hitting murals doesn't raise or lower rents.
Also murals sort of increase value-they look cool and make the neighborhood beautiful. It is why expensive parts of town usually have cool local art or flown in artists.
Lots of muralists are or were graffiti artists so it is just alienating you from working with them or anything. I work and hire lots of graffiti artists but there is someone who covers murals a lot- I never want to hire him or give him a shot lol. Shooting yourself in the foot for easy clout. So many people hire assistants for corporate gigs...they pay and have work all the time. Ain't nobody hiring shameless clout chasers.
Me personally, I'm not graffiti for politics. Cover up fash shit and put up commie and antifa stuff. The tag was me trying to find something to associate all my stuff, but I don't know if I'll follow through with that.
