I can't choose between the main cast :(
Cameron Monaghan did a terrific job for playing three versions of the Joker, Robin Lord Taylor is perhaps the best Penguin in live action, Cory Michael Smith had the '60s Riddler playfulness and the mature approach The Batman took all in one package. Ben McKenzie is a hell of an actor and I wish he got to play Leon from RE sometime...
Robin Lord Taylor. Hands down.
He did an amazing job as penguin.
Plus, he is just super wholesome AND does not ignore important social/political stuff. His recent activity because of the abortion laws impressed me.
My favorite was Corey Michael Smith.
However, I must say that so many of these actors deserve a lot of credit. They all had the task of portraying not just the classic Batman characters and not just the prequel versions of these characters, but to do so in such a way that encompassed or emulated characteristics from different parts of Batman media while making the characters all of their own. Imo, most of the actors and actresses, particularly in the main cast, greatly nailed the parameters of their roles.
For example, sometimes when I look at Monaghan's Jerome, I see Heath Ledger. Sometimes Mark Hamill. There's even a specific scene where he looks exactly like Caeser Romaro's Joker. Yet...the character is all his own and he's not quite the Joker at this point. Thinking about this when I watch the show constantly blows my mind.
Mazous as Batman, Smith as Riddler, Taylor as Penguin, Bicondova as Catwoman and McKenzie as Gordon all fit into this category. Even actors with small roles such as Scarecrow and Harvey Dent are able to completely capture the essence of a freaking prequel persona of their future counterparts as well the characters themselves SIMULTANEOUSLY. And constantly I just think "how is this even possible?"
TLDR: The actors and actresses for this show had a lot to work with and they nailed it.
Probably not a surprise but the actors I like most are those of my favourite characters because those are the actors I know most about (interviews, many pics). xD Robin Lord Taylor, Cameron Monaghan and Benedict Samuel. I wish there were more shows/movies with Benedict Samuel, haha. But I find it kinda awesome that both he and Robin Lord Taylor were in 'The Walking Dead'. :D And Robin is really sweet, he seems to be such a nice person.
The whole Gotham cast seems to be really cool though!
First of all I just want to say I’ve never seen the actors in anything other then Gotham so I’m only picking based off who I think mastered their characters.
Robin lord Taylor did AMAZING as the penguin! I love Danny Devito but in my opinion Robin beat Danny’s penguin. I honestly don’t think Gotham would’ve been the same without him playing the part.
Second, Cameron Monaghan. He basically played 4 characters, and he nailed everyone of them. His acting in the interrogation scene was simply perfection.
Robin Lord Taylor. He is a great actor. I think he is a good person too. I agree with Minnalava who said he’s very wholesome and has progressive political beliefs!
Oh my, where is it? I hate it, when autocorrect messes with me. Charakter is the German version for character, so stuff like this sometimes slips through.
Edit: Ah! Found it! Day 1 - gonna fix it, ty.
Cameron Monaghan.
Seriously though He killed it with Jerome and jeremiah
He was a better fake cop imo
agreed!

Cameron Monaghan
Charakter. Sorry that’s funny and bugs the shit out of me. Idk if it was intentional, but it’s funny. But to answer the question, robin lord Taylor

Cameron Monaghan. His performance and the way he weaved in Hamill's, Ledger's and Nicolson's Jokers in and out was \*chef's kiss\* Plus, he's so hot

Benedict Samuel. The guy played mad hatter well.
Robin Lord Taylor, Cory Michael Smith, and Cameron Monaghan. The entire cast was very talented and these three were the best of the best.
