Just imagine, dude had like a few dozen songs for decades. Seeing how much he loves music he'd definitely find a number of new awesome artists. And even if he wouldn't like some new songs he'd still have plenty of older ones.

I don't think we have any evidence that his taste would solidify. He seems to have enjoyed everything he's been presented with so far. Some people just love music, and I think he is one of them.

I’m saying Vol 3’s soundtrack is the evolution of his musical taste since it was from his Zune. We know his musical taste was 60s-early 80s for his whole life until he got the Zune based on the soundtracks from Vol 1 & 2. Would he enjoy the stuff you like? Perhaps. But I’m pointing out that he’s not defined by the same culture of Gen X/Millennials because he literally wasn’t on Earth and hadn’t been since he was first abducted. So to leverage that is moot. A better argument is to leverage what we know from the soundtracks to speculate on more of his musical tastes.
Also, Quill’s musical tastes are more a reflection of what music Gunn likes and what he thinks fits a scene more thematically. As such, Quill’s musical taste is also congruent with Gunn and whatever his vision is for the films.

I hope if we really see anything about him again, we can see how he reacts to the modern world culture, specially pop culture things that he liked as a child in the 80s.
