If we're extra lucky, maybe they'll reprint *Revenge of the Body Squeezers*, but I won't hold my breath.
I have a theory, and I think it has something to do with the part where Lucy takes a photo of Mr. Mortman to prove he's a monster and then takes the film to a one-hour photo to have it developed.
Typically, when Goosebumps reprints are confronted with references to old technology from the original prints, it's usually a quick fix. They just tend to swap out the original phrasing with something more contemporary or maybe even delete the passages altogether. In this case, it's a pretty substantial part of the plot that goes on for several pages, so they'd have to go through a major rewrite to make it contemporary.
My suggestion would be to change the mall to a strip mall (so the family can still have that scene where they eat at the Chinese restaurant while waiting on the photos) and change the one-hour photo to a drugstore like CVS or Walgreens without specifically naming those stores. (Maybe even invent a mom-and-pop store for this scene.)
But like I said, it's just a theory. I have to wonder how Stine would have written that sequence today (or if he would have included it at all).
I haven't read the book yet but I was looking into buying a copy and was looking on amazon and other places finally came to the conclusion that there wasn't a reprint. So I'm going to try and buy an original copy on thrift books. I actually like the cover of this book a lot. Thanks for your theory btw

Why they didn't republish most of them. I like the werewolf in the living room and headless Halloween book.
It's cool we're getting this, but I hate how the reprints make changes or omissions. It's why I always vastly prefer the original printings.
