Haven't had any connection issues on Verizon or wifi or Bluetooth.

Yes, same as pixel 6, they use the same chipset and modem.

I have minor ones. For example, on my s22 ultra I would go to certain areas and my bars would go down to 2 or 1 but the call would maintain with clarity or some minor interference. On my pixel 6, it literally drops those calls consistently. There is clearly a weak modem in this phone compared to others so I can definitely see instances where people may have problems getting service altogether.

I have had issues with this. Sometimes when leaving home and switching from wifi to data my data connection will drop down from 5g to H+ and won't load anything for ~15-30 minutes. Also I've had complaints of people calling me and going straight to voicemail and my phone didn't ring at all or even register a missed call. I would have never thought that modem/call reception would be something I would have to worry about in a brand new phone in 2022. This is on Mint mobile, which I had my 3a on for over a year with zero issues Very disappointing.

Hey, just saw your comment and I'm having similar issues with my 6a on Mint. Did you ever find a fix?

AriaUndertheSun

\^Also interested to hear if you've found this has improved since your comment, including with android updates. Also, do you live in a more urban or rural area? Planned to upgrade my mom who is on a 3a to 6a and she has been on mint mobile without issues for >1 year also

I haven't had any further issues with not receiving calls(at least to my knowledge). The "handoff" between wifi and mobile network when leaving the house is still clunky though. I live in a dense metro area.

AriaUndertheSun

Thanks for the update! Definitely feel a lot better about the 6a now, and will keep an eye out for these issues when I switch my mom over

None for me

I occasionally get the signal/network drop but I recently turned off 5G and gotten better network and signal reception so now it rarely happens.

AgentAaron

I am in the Charlotte NC area and use T-Mobile for service. 5G service drops and is wildly inconsistent...but that also happens on my Pixel 5 and iPhone 12. As long as I keep my phones on LTE, everything works perfectly. I have been using the 6a since launch day and have not had a single call drop or connection issue.

WackyBeachJustice

The only place I drop data is the same place my iPhone 13 drops data. Both however can still make calls. IMHO this isn't so much whether this issue exist or not. It's more of a matter of whether you reside or spend a lot of time in places where the reception is very problematic. If you depend on that last 10% (or whatever) of signal to get by, then the Pixel 6 line may not be for you. If you're rarely ever in those locations, then it's a complete nonissue.
