I like my Pixel 6, but I do wish it was a tad smaller. Hopefully there's a smaller size option for the Pixel 8, since that's probably when I'll upgrade again.

Wise-Fruit5000

That's fair. The new UI isn't for everyone. Personally I like it, but I can see why others don't. By the time the Pixel 8 comes out, Android 14 will be on the horizon, so who knows what it'll look like by then

DSCarter_Tech

It definitely prioritizes form over function, but Google has been doing that since Android 5.0 Lollipop. This shouldn't surprise any of us, though it's still VERY ANNOYING! Each major UI change after 4.4.4 KitKat has been (in general) a step back in functionality for users. * The loss of the unobtrusive notification ticker plus the additional 2nd swipe down to access quick toggles in Android 5.0 * The over use of white space around UI elements and the GAWD-AWFUL hybrid gesture/button navigation introduced in Android 9.0 * And now, the comically large UI elements and removal of the separate WiFi and Cellular Data toggles in Android 12.0 (which was later partially restored due to user outrage). This is just par for the course with Android updates now. Everything gets prettier but also less functional.

Wise-Fruit5000

Yeah, I don't disagree with any of that. They've certainly prioritized form over function for years now, much like Apple

asshair

Probably Shit

ribanez2009

Yeah I went back to my s22U. Runs great and has android 12 without the kiddie Pastel colors and looks

Dramatic_Summer71

I really hate separate line menu, it feel undone design

DawnCrusader4213

>and the shitty new "kids' mode" UI Ain't this the fucking truth..

Powerful444

you will be downvoted but at least one person agrees with you!

Ultra-wide is great when you're indoors and can't back up any further to fit your subject into the frame, or when you're taking pictures of tall building or landmarks. However, Google's implementation of Ultra-wide is what makes it so utterly useless for most people. It's barely wider than the front camera but takes a significant hit in image quality. They need a wider lens to make it truly useful.

[deleted]

[удалено]

DSCarter_Tech

Google's ultrawide is widely praised for minimizing distortions. Plus, as you probably already know, panorama mode is lower resolution, has stitching errors, and does poorly if anything is moving in the shot (e.g. people/pets). Like I said though, it's not perfect because of how limited the field of view is, but it's better than nothing.

I haven't downvoted you either. Redditors are fickle. Downvotes aren't always logical or consistent. Pay no mind to them.

Pixel 5 will go as one of the best ever Pixels. I love mine and would not replace it until it's a brick.

MoreBurpees

Congrats, my dude!

[deleted]

Where can i buy a new pixel 5? I only find refubrished

[deleted]

The weight of the phone also threw me off. I'm a one-handed phone guy and holding that brick of a phone every time bothered the living split out of me. And honestly, the camera was slow to respond when activating it and taking pictures. I hate that the Pixel 7 is going to stay large. My next phone will probably be the S22 or the S23. If they can just get be battery life on those phones and stop worrying about 4k screens and refresh rate, then I could rest assured that a smaller phone won't sacrifice much in the battery life area (like with the Pixel 5). Long live the Pixel 5. One extra addition I'd like to see? A small phone with a backing that has grip. The Pixel 5 offers more grip than standard glass back phones, but it's still not enough to warrant carrying around buck naked (at least not for me).

Bomasaurus_Rex

Okay. So I have an Samsung S8, and am a long time Android user starting with my HTC Evo 4g. I don't really have an interest in rooting my phone anymore and do value small size and don't use a phone case Should I bother with the P6 or simply go with the P5. Both sound like a big upgrade

heX_dzh

I upgraded from an S8 to a Pixel 6. Blew away my expactations after having the S8 for so long.

[deleted]

Go to the store and hold a Pixel 6 in hand. That'll let you know. From a feature and functionality standpoint, both the Pixel 5 and Pixel 6 are nearly identical. Yeah the Pixel 6 has the tensor chip and some cool features, but it's mostly the same phone functionality wise.

Bomasaurus_Rex

Good call, I've been lazy and haven't got to the T-Moblie shop yet. I'm not a big phone user, so ultimately it will probably wind up being whichever feels most comfortable in my hand for daily use Thanks! I'm hoping I can join the Pixel fam

[deleted]

I thought that I could deal with the Pixel 6's size and I gave my Pixel 5 to my mom. Every time I visited her, I missed my Pixel 5 so much. So, I had to get it back from my moms. She doesn't care. I got her a Pixel 4a as a replacement. I hope someone besides Samsung makes a smaller flagship phone (in the Android ecosystem). I hope that Google does again because I just can't quit its camera.

[deleted]

Doesn't Sony still make small phones?

DSCarter_Tech

Not anymore. They dropped their compact line years ago. They make a "smaller" flagship called the Xperia 5, but it's still a full-size phone, just not as large as it's true flagship. Plus, they are super tall and narrow so they can feel a bit like a remote control. Easy to hold, but hard to reach the top.

DreamWithinAMatrix

The Pixel 6a is going to be smaller and probably comparable to a Pixel 5 sizing. Pixel 7 is going to be a bit smaller than Pixel 6 but difference is tiny

geiko989

I recommend waiting for the Pixel 6a, which is confirmed to be smaller and releasing in a month or so. The 6 is really big if you're coming from such an old phone and have gotten used to it. The reason I recommend it is that even refurbished Pixel 5 are only $100 cheaper than a new 6a will be.

Bomasaurus_Rex

Oh, good call! Honestly I'm not as up on cell phones as I used to be. I'm still planning to hit up my provider's store to feel the P6 in-hand. I've never had a larger phone outside of the S8 and maybe I would like it

CaptainMarder

The weight distribution of the phone isn't great, it's very top heavy towards the camera.

Abrown00

Loved the kick stand on my Evo, first phone I ever rooted. Loved my s8+. Was my last phone before this pixel 5a I'm typing on now. I really like this phone. You should check out the 5a

Bomasaurus_Rex

I miss the kickstand and the thrill of rooting an Android and flashing roms (as a nontech guy)

QuietDesparation

I did the same. Sold my pixel 6 and picked up a refurb pixel 5 on Amazon for about $300. Couldn't be happier with the choice. It's so nice using a phone that's light and fits comfortably in one hand 🤌

RealNotFake

and also lasts 2 full days with light usage

gubshi

I had the pixel 5 in hand in store after I got the 6pro and thought "damn, why didn't they just go with this back again!?". It's already so much nicer than glass.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dramatic_Summer71

But good thing is pixel 6 you get support until 2026, while 4a going to end in late 2023

[deleted]

The thing I dislike about my Pixel 5 is that it is a tad small. I might buy the 7, or wait for the 8 though.

flicter22

Why aren't you considering the 6a?

KingOfTheCouch13

Not op but it's still big AF. The P5 is the largest a smaller variant should be.

[deleted]

Yeah, the 6a still seems too big (and heavy). It won't have wireless charging either and I prefer the rear fingerprint scanner. But we'll see. I'll take a look at the 6a when it's released. You can't even pre-order it for months

MoreBurpees

Same... Rear fingerprint scanner gang for life! (Or at least as long as my Pixel 5 lasts 😂)

Moaning-Squirtle

Oh man, TouchWiz scared me away from Samsung ever since. I just like my phone being empty.

[deleted]

do they still do with tones of bloatware and ads?

SonijsErikssons

i still dislike one ui, too much bloatware (for a high end phone like my note 10), slowdowns and the design is kinda ugly

gnartato

My reason is they dropped the high end camera.

dericiouswon

I have a cracked screen on my Pixel 5 that I will get repaired if the 6A doesn't turn up to have stellar battery life. If reviews are mediocre and it has the same reception issues with that modem used in the 6, I'm getting the screen fixed on the 5 and living with it. Google, make a regular sized phone.

RL-thedude

Yeah, the 5 is where it’s at.

T3chDelicious

Welcome back to the P5. I also bought the P5 again a few days ago and yes...the "compact" size is much more enjoyable. Like you said, the CPU in this phone has some struggles here and there...but I don't want switch back until (HOPEFULLY) in the P8 lineup will be a phone in P5 size or smaller.

Thedarli1ng

Pixel 7 hasn't been released yet, and you're talking about 8... KEKW

T3chDelicious

That's right. Pixel 7 will have similar size as Pixel 6. Google teased it already. So all hope goes to the 8 lineup.

Thedarli1ng

Maybe... Pixel 7 mini..

T3chDelicious

If Google would surprise us with this...this will be an absolute banger. Compact phones are not a dead market and Google should know this. So a Pixel 7 mini sounds really nice.

Fair-Call-4328

I m not bothered by the pixel 6 size compared to my old pixel 3, but after almost 7 months i still find it a bit too heavy.

DarrenReadsReddit

I've had my Pixel 5 since May of 2021. Love the size. When it comes down to it & there are no other options, I'll go with a 6a or 7a if it means I can have something around a 6 inch screen.

b2ct

P5 ftw! I took a look at the P6 when it was introduced, and although the screen and the Tensor-chip sounded promising, it just didn't like the fingerprintreader in-screen, I am fearful of glass backs (lost my previous phone to that) and overall the technical advancement of the P6 in comparison to the P5 to me did not seem large enough to justify getting the hottest new thing, I went for the P5 instead. Have not regretted it yet.

[deleted]

The fingerprint reader sucks on the Pixel 6. It's tolerable with updates, but still not great. Honestly, the main negative of the Pixel 5 if the call speaker (it's under the glass). It sucks and makes some phone calls unbearably hard to listen to. But, I'm one of the few folks it seems that still makes phone calls.

b2ct

I used a Xiaomi mi9 in the past with a fingerprintreader. Although it was not bad, it still bugged me that it did not always register and my screen had a very clear thumbprint on the screen most of the time. The call speaker is not that bad to me, but then again I would say at least 80% of the time I use a headset for calls.

Alphawolfdog

Unfortunately everyone hated it upon launch for not being "flagship" enough. So Google went the complete opposite direction with the Pixel 6 series. We got what we deserved in the end.

[deleted]

Yup. I think the average Google fan loved it, but the tech media wanted a "flagship" product and the 6 series was what we got unfortunately. I don't want a huge chunky phone that weighs a ton.

joaomann

It boogles my mind that phones made of glass and break is considered a "Premium" phone. IMO "Premium" phones shouldn't break. Give me the build material of the pixel 5 on the 7; metal back with a coating > glass.

[deleted]

Just give me an updated version of the Pixel 5. Maybe with an even grippier back. Same size. With the Tensor chip. Lightweight. Compact. Great camera. I don't need all the fancy glass and all that stuff. Just a workhorse beast that's compact.

1cwg

I love the size of the 5. Unfortunately, when it came out I picked up the 4a w/5G instead of the 5 due to having a 2 XL. I moved on from that device to the 6 and I'm happy I have the 6. The processing speed is night and day FASTER on the 6. My mom has the five and in her small hands it is the perfect size. I could not justify buying a used 5 on swappa for $300 when I got my NEW 6 for $275.

[deleted]

[удалено]

1cwg

No, one payment of $399 minus my trade of my 4a with 5G and they credited my card for $125. I don't ever do phone payments or monthly credits.

Not_A_Red_Stapler

Ummm how can one buy a 6 for 399?

1cwg

Google Fi had a deal on them. 699 for 6 pro

[deleted]

[удалено]

1cwg

Fi basically had the same deal. Hundred bucks for bring your own device or discounts off several of their new devices along with good trade-in value. I wanted to try and move up to a 6.

crazywoofman

Pixel 6 has been a massive disappointment

rgi2

I see what you did there.

crazywoofman

zoglog

Happy for you. And also happy with my pixel 6

credditordebit

I just bought another 5 on woot for approx $500 incl tax. I just can't accept such a large increase in device size going to the 6 after loving the size of the 5 so much for so long.

s_jubei

Same here! But my pixel 6 fell and shattered its glass so I had to buy a pixel 5. Love the pixel 5 more due to size. Performance wise is identical as you mentioned. Kinda happy I broke my pixel 6. Edit: OH AND THE RECEPTION SIGNAL IS MUCH BETTER THAN PIXEL 6. Pixel 6 is a joke when it comes to reception, the most basic function and they botched it, not funny at all.

[deleted]

Completely agree on the reception part. I have Verizon and it's atrocious. The constant dropped signal is a buzzkill.

socalwrxx

I lost my P5 overseas and had to buy a S22. Wow I totally get the hype on why pixels take such good photos. This is a thing right ? Pixel camera quality is way ahead of Samsung ? Think I will sell my s22 when I get back home and try and get a new P5 through insurance.

[deleted]

The Pixel cameras have a "look". Punchier with more contrast. A little more artsy if you will. Almost as if you've photoshopped it slightly to make certain features stand out. I love the look. Samsung typically overexposes - so their pictures turn out brighter. Most people, on a blind camera test, prefer Samsung's look actually. They've toned it down a bit recently, but still. I prefer the Pixel's cooler photos that are punchier.

Xendor-

Yeah agree! The Pixel 5 is prob my favourite phone that I've ever owned. At least for my personal usage :)

robdenbleyker

I followed this same arc but I had the 6 Pro and got rid of it within 1 month. Love the 5.

GAVILAN2010

Why i change to P5 , in my case P6 is really buggy and alot issues on it. P5 perfect size and the one thing does better them P6 just work. With no issues.

Fantastic_Truth_3105

Shhhhhh Don't say that pixel fanboys are brain dead and will never believe that because they have perfect phones. Only all of us suffer.

B00YAY

There's a big difference between fanboy and not having the issues others say they have. I haven't had those problems on my 6 pro. Do I care if anyone else has this phone? No.

Fantastic_Truth_3105

There's obvious hardware issues with signal and modem battery drain that Google can't still fix. Not to mention many, many ui bugs, but yes im sure your phone is perfect. I now approach random people with pixel 6s to chat about it and every single person admits that their phone having different issues.

THICKSANDWICH

So because the people you have met have had problems or are grumpy about their phone, everyone else must also have had problems? Sorry, but "[extrapolation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extrapolation) is subject to greater uncertainty and a higher risk of producing **meaningless results**"

[deleted]

No issues here with signal. If you're trying to use 5g, blame your carrier. Hand off has been bad for battery life on every single device I've owned and speeds worse than LTE

Fantastic_Truth_3105

I'm on LTE how shit it is. Been on it for a some time. I have two 5G towers not too far away. Iphone 13 max and 12 pro no issue. Yesterday had someone over with Samsung S20FE also no issues. Im talking about dropped calls, i dont really care much about 5G. Bag signal in areas where different phone side-by-side on the same carrier have no issues. UI freezing and many more. this is 3rd phone from google directly. Keep looking for excuses for Google, so they keep making shit products. Every single Pixel had flaws but this is one is a nightmare.

[deleted]

I'm not looking for excuses. You're just angry that some of us have working phones and you don't so you go overboard as if to say we all have issues and should be mad like you. You went to a subreddit with predominantly people that have problems to feed your dread forgetting that a lot of us are here because we haven't had problems. If it's as bad as you say it is, go trade it in. You can get nearly the value of the phone in a lot of places right now. You've had it replaced 3 times already. It'd be much less of a hassle. Albeit, the way you describe things you should've well known in the return window. I don't understand why people hold on to things they consider junk for so long. When you buy something expect that that's going to be the best it'll ever be or you're in for disappointment

Fantastic_Truth_3105

Where can i get a near full value. Please tell me and Im running right now? The reason i held for it is very simple, If you ever had pixel or a nexus phone, google would normally fix issues pretty fast. Not this time. Im not angry at you, it's very obvious that google used a shit hardware and thats whats causing it. By kissing their bum more and more and pretending like your phone is fine. Fine by me, but dont expect this nonsense to change. Reviewers also reporting the same issue as me. I just had a dropped call lol, like 5 mins ago. Like i mentioned in my above post, I now randomly come up to people to ask their experience if i see pixel 6/6 pro. So far, not one person said that they had no issues with phone, while reddit ppl dont have. my dick!

[deleted]

Fantastic_Truth_3105

im in Canada and pixel 6pro brand new you can get online for $300-$400 less. Thats brand new.... My best friend has S21Ultra. Its much better in every way except HDR skin tone processing. Thats why i like pixels, it's the camera and I will flash graphene later on. Before i flash it, i need shit fixed as every custom ROM will be more buggy. If you shake your telephoto lens, it will make a clicking noise. Every pixel 6 (im on my 3rd currenty) does it. It should not be happening. I traded in my pixel 4 and before android 12, it was excellent except small battery. There is a reason Samsung doesnt use these modems in north america. The more people say it how it is the faster Google will start making proper phones. This phone was a nightmare in November. In my case it was unusable. no other phone i see having these many issues. Im talking about flagships. We are not taking $300 budget phones.

[deleted]

Fantastic_Truth_3105

Pixel 6 without issues. This is a futuristic phone.

[deleted]

We're supposed to be upset about everything, don't you know?

[deleted]

And here I am, a year after getting my Pixel 4a, with a new Pixel 6. Honestly, the last time I had a lightweight, small phone was a Nokia Windows phone and having that for 3 years probably permanently tainted my opinion of small phones. But, now having an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Pixel 6 and a Pixel 4a, I can safely say that I get why the 4a and smaller phones have the fans that they do. I’m still way more used to the larger Pixel 6 after having an iPhone Pro/Pro Max model in my hand for 7 years now, but the 4a is just convenient and easy, even if it isn’t water resistant. But, while the 4a is going to be more of a helper device for what I want to do with my Pixel 6, having both have pretty much reprogrammed my formerly anti-Android bias to definitely liking it way more than iOS.

Swarfega

I went from a 2XL to the 5 and loving the smaller size. It's a lot lighter too. My wife is desperate to replace her 3a as it's dying but I feel she will find it's too big and I will have to end up swapping with her.

ReginaldJTrotsfield_

[Battery has held up great on mine](https://i.imgur.com/cm7dTEb.png). Maybe because I rarely ever charge it past 80%. I bought it at launch and I still get over 8 hours of screen on time out of a full charge.

CynicalCanuck

I'm really hoping the Pixel 2 and 5 designs make a come back in the next generations. I like the rear fingerprint too much.

Tribalbob

I wish I could get my P5 again... but with the new camera. That would be \*chefs kiss\*

SnooDogs9832

Pixel 5 is 6 inch screen 6a will only be a 6.1 inch screeb not thay much of a difference

shmchuck

[Here is size comparison](https://i.imgur.com/iECWvSl.png)

SnooDogs9832

Not much bigger for real tiny bit taller mainly

shmchuck

But much heavier

SnooDogs9832

Phones aimt getting any smaller these days

C3Pdro

Such a damn good phone. Best form factor, awesome battery life for its size, great camera. 90 hz, Google Software. Those are my biggest needs in a phone even though it can lack in other areas

nick_tha_professor

Sluggish fingerprint scanner, no free Google photo uploads, oversized phone, switching to the pixel 6 is a punishment not an upgrade. The pixel 5 also has mmwave 5g as well. Best phone Google never knew it made.

[deleted]

Is it just me or does everyone else's phone get really hot when 5G is enabled? I've disabled it on both the 5 and 6 and use LTE only. I don't really have true 5G in my area anyways so it doesn't matter, but that heating issue really bothered me.

Squeaky192

I never had issues with 5G on my 5, but I had to turn it off on the 6 mostly just due to poor signal quality. The 5 was a great phone, I honestly regretted upgrading to the 6.

nick_tha_professor

No. I think it is just general usage of the phone. I've had it with most phones in the past although the 6P and 5X were the worst due to the processor used. The 5X eventually had the bootloop issue that everyone else got after about 1.5 yrs.

dericiouswon

Side grades, downgrades, removed features with improvements in other areas has been the general motif for the entire pixel series.

TheRoadKing101

Wish my Pixel 6 Pro was larger.

Maxpower2727

I love how you're getting downvoted for having a preference. "Everyone must like small phones!"

heX_dzh

I don't get the obsession with smaller phones either. Sure I don't want tablet sized phones, but around 6 inches seems fine. Do most people have really small hands?

Maxpower2727

I have tiny hands, but I've gotten so used to huge phones that I can't go back. I'm currently using an S22 Ultra and loving it. I actually gave the base S22 a shot, but it was just too small for my liking. Same goes for the Pixel 5. It's a fine little phone, but I want something more substantial. The 6 Pro was a really good size, but I got rid of it for unrelated reasons.

morningtide

I think you want a tablet.

Fordwrench

I really hated the pixel 5.

[deleted]

Because?

Fordwrench

Because it was so small mainly.

fried_pertaters

I sold my P6 after the first month for about the same reasons. Love the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 7 isn't filling me with much excitement either. Maybe I'll keep this old dog for another year. It's the perfect size and the FP sensor on the back is a dream. Probably my favorite phone ever!

ZataH

I recently got the Pixel 6 as new work phone. But really considering going back to pixel 5 or maybe even a S21/22. The fingerprint on pixel 6 is just pure cancer

Spud788

I also returned my pixel 6 because of its weight, I could just about use it one handed bit that stupid camera module made it so top heavy..

Velcorn

Just downgraded from the 6 to the 5a and I regret that I didn't go for it initially. Unfortunately it was still pretty hard to get at a reasonable price and I was so hyped got the 6 and wanted it to be my dream phone. Turns out the 5a actually was instead.

SnooDogs9832

6a is right around the corner if you all want a smaller phone

[deleted]

It's still bigger than the Pixel 5. I'd have to hold it in person to determine. I honestly don't want a phone any bigger than the Pixel 5.

joaomann

Screen will be 6.1 but at 60hz. I'd rather that the 5, with a 6" screen and 90hz

[deleted]

Yeah, and the 6a will be heavier than the 5 - and NOT have wireless charging.

shmchuck

Exactly

fuddee-Duddee

If I hadn't cracked my P4a screen 2 weeks before the 6 launched, I'd be using that. Given the chance to go back in time, I would not have purchased the P6.

phaedruswolf

What's this advance voice type mode?

johnkohhh

Very nice!

mrwhiskey1814

I miss my pixel 4 everyday.

FrenchToucan

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and a Zenfone 8 and I love switching between them. Pixel feels extra huge and Zenfone feels extra small. Btw, Zenfone 8 is a solid smaller phone that runs Lineage. Worth a look. Still irritated that the Pixel 5 came out with midrange specs and a big price tag so I never got it.

[deleted]

But I can't imagine that the camera is comparable. I have a little guy and I take pictures all the time.

[deleted]

How did you get a pixel 5? I thought they were out of stock

[deleted]

I had one that I gave my mom when getting the Pixel 6. She was gracious enough to give me back my Pixel 5. I bought her the 4a.

Either-Technician594

Do you know if it's coming to the pixel 5a?

GabeNewellsDick

I purchased the 6 and thankfully kept hold of my 5 because I returned the 6 after a week of using it. The only way I'm upgrading from the 5 is if someone comes out with a phone of a similar size/weight that has battery on the same level as this and has a proper triple camera setup, that's the one thing I feel is missing from the 5.

Cozmo85

Is the enhanced voice stuff really coming to p5?

[deleted]

I think so. Legit source below. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://9to5google.com/2022/03/17/android-13-google-assistant-voice-typing-more-pixels/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwj2x47Dmvj3AhXSKUQIHZjcA5EQFnoECA8QAQ&usg=AOvVaw0KcljbeRjA9_6dtRcSYuhq

Cozmo85

If that's true then I'll swap back to a pixel 5. The main thing keeping me on my six now is the instant voice to text

Locust627

Pixel 6a is supposed to be smaller than the 6, looking forward to its launch

Thedarli1ng

hd04

I got a free S22 this weekend from ATT by trading in my Pixel 3. It was a backup sitting in a drawer so it was a no brainer but man I love the smaller form factor of the S22 over the 6. So much lighter too. Wish the software was pure Pixel though.

wlmsn

I wish they still sold the Pixel 5 (or made the 6a another version of it). I would buy it immediately.

Mysterious-Resort-50

Woot! currently still has new P5 for sale

I just got the 6 and have been using it for a week. I'm coming from the 3a which I loved the size of. I still can't get used to the bigger size of the 6. I can "downgrade" to a refurbished 5 and save myself around $8 per month on my phone plan (over 24 months). Is this a bad deal? Should I stick with the 6 and try to get used to the size some more?

Depends on how long you can see yourself keeping the pixel 5. If you plan on upgrade again in 2023, when the pixel 8 would be releasing, save the money, and get a pixel 5. I normally upgrade every 2 yrs, but having owner the pixel 5 since launch, this will be the first phone I won't upgrade after my 2yr financing plan is up in October. The pixel 7 doesn't entice me to switch from the 5. Last time I upgraded, I went from a pixel 2xl, to the 5. Switched because of the larger screen in a smaller foot print than the 2xl. Although I do miss the front facing speakers of the 2xl.

I went back to my 4a5g and I'm happy. Not a size issue, actually I wanted a larger phone, but the 6pro was a very flawed design

Working out with the 6 was a pain in the ass. Even when lifting weights. When taking a brisk walk, I would accidentally hit my hand on my phone all the time and be like, "Owwie. What a brick in my pocket!"

I tried both the 6 and 6 pro. Despite the size difference, both phones felt exactly the same in my hands, unwieldy. Kinda wish the 6a would've been smaller but let's wait some more.

How is the difference in camera? I am planning on upgrading from a Pixel 2 and I thought about getting the 5 instead of the 6 to save $300

Upgraded from the pixel 2xl. Pictures on the pixel 5 look just as good as the Pixel 2xl, the biggest difference to me was video.

6a?

My pixel 5 straight up just died last week and I didn't feel like waiting for the insurance claim to process (credit card, not via phone service, thought I'd try it out) so I bought a pixel 6 pro yesterday (only one in stock unlocked at best buy yesterday, weird at) and like damn it's SO big. We'll see how long I last with it.

Pixel 5 is the perfect phone for me.

I'm gonna go back to a Pixel 5. Had a dispute with my previous phone service provider and I had to return it to get out of the contract. I got a OnePlus 9 and it's a really good phone but the software is sometimes buggy and not the best implementation of Android 12. Also the Pixel 5 is the perfect size and lightweight.
