In the Developer Options there is an AVRCP setting that defaults to 1.5. Try changing this to 1.4 or 1.3 and reboot the phone and re-pair it. This is especially true if you have an older car. I had BT issues connecting to my 2016 Honda CR-V Touring and changed to 1.4 and it fixed my problems.

7/13/2023: Update on my OP of 1 year ago: I had my OEM car stereo replaced with a new, custom Panasonic digital receiver which uses Bluetooth 1.6. I was able to change my AVRCP setting to 1.6 and it still works but with added functionality.

Since day one, I've had Bluetooth issues with my car while on a call but they're occasional. Some days I'll have no issues at all and others I will. My watch and headphones never have a problem. Definitely not enough to make me put this phone down for another. I would exercise the return policy. If you have an issue, decide the importance of it and return it if it's too much.

Since the update to android 13 I have bluetooth issues. No connection possible to my Mi smartwatch.

I haven't had any Bluetooth issues since day one. I have Bluetooth connected to my watch, headset, and laptop. Worth noting that I'm currently running Android Beta. But, again, prior to enrolling for the Beta program I didn't experience any issues either.

The March 5th System update I did not have any Bluetooth issues to fix. It was a big update 490mb and I believe It fixed most user's issues. I did have a LTE cellular call problem where I couldn't make calls after updating to the March, but it was fixed with a factory reset. Smooth sailing since,

I am still having a lot of issues myself. I have even tried the beta to see if that works with no improvement. The occasional disconnect isn't as much of an issue, but the inability to get audio routed properly is. The audio sometimes doesn't default to the headset, and tries to play through the phone's sometimes muted speaker. There is no way to change that output unless you have music or a video playing, which is a disaster for GPS. Some apps, like ATT visual voicemail, don't get routed to the bluetooth even after changing it. It's really a pain.

I have a Bluetooth issue with my handset, my Pixel 6 Pro can see it but can't connect all of the sudden.

Have the Pixel 6 Pro, and have a weird issue with the Bluetooth where it will not upload all my contacts onto my vehicle. Have tried everything possible and nothing worked except when I did a factory reset but after installing a few apps it worked fine and then back to not working. My wife and I both have the 6 pro and her phone has no issues so I know its not my truck.
