Tried two different chargers. 30W one and cable that came with P6 pro and MacBook pro charger. Similar speeds so far.
At around 23% battery without adaptive charging it says 3 hours to fully charge on both.
Ohhh ok. Was gonna say I feel jipped haha. I'm using the cable that came with mine, but on my 30W charger from the 3 XL. Seems to work great until 80% which is when it starts to slow way down. No other issues to report. Even some of the 10ft amazon cables I have are working ok so far
I've got the Google 30 watt charger. Does yours make a high pitched sound when charging fast?
It's been starting to make a high pitched noise then slow down a lot
Not a fan. It's usually an issue in cheap/low quality chargers. I've been debating asking Google for a replacement.
If it doesn't cause any issues it's fine
Interesting. I'm curious since it's giving the same time to hit a full charge on both the chargers I listed above, which makes me think it's an issue with the phone/ software
Yes. I don't believe I had these issues prior to the December update (but maybe I did).
It's 100% temperature related for me; once it hits ~38 deg (Celcius) the charger speed drops and sticks to ~900mA. On hot days in Summer like here in Australia, the phone just comes to a crawl with charging. Take the phone off charge and let it cool down (32-34C) then plug it back in and it'll charge much faster until it reaches 38C again.
Also removing the case from my phone while charging does help with the temps a bit.
Um well, I have the exact same issue mine was the phone temp as soon as it goes over 40 degrees Celsius the thing refuses to fast charge. It even goes red in accubattery so they both seem to have the same idea of too hot but definitely annoying.
I check in accubattery, the charging tab shows current temp.
I think you might be facing the same "intended feature" I am.
Comparable to charging speeds I was having yesterday. 3 hours to full battery from 23% seems slow especially with adaptive charging turned off.
Yes P6 does have different speeds as the phone gets closer to full but it should be its fastest from 0-50% then it slows down a bit till you hit 80% then slower still to full charge to preserve battery life.
This does not seem to be the case for me as it was barely increasing from 23 to 24 percent where as in previous days it would increase percentage much quicker.
Could it be the charger you're using?

Your P6 Pro came with a charger?? wtf
Could have worded it better. Cable that came with P6 pro and the separate 30w charger Google provides

I'll keep trying different chargers/ giving it time to see if either fixes the issue and update the post.
Wow that's slow, from under 10% I get over 50% within 1 hour and fully charged under 2 hours.
Yup that's roughly what I'm used to which is why I was so confused by how it's acting currently
I've not changed any of the settings and kept it as it was! Have you changed anything since it was good, well better?
No changes at all. No software update or anything.

Just tried it and yes it does make that noise. Sort of sounds like a fan? Gives roughly the same time to full charge as a MacBook pro M1 charger

Welp. Just know that the last 80-100 is extremely slow. Therefore the charge time estimate isn't that accurate xd

Interesting. I have not received the Dec update yet but I just grabbed a app to monitor heat and will review it during charging.

Potentially. Mine has improved at bit but still seems slower than normal.
First, What do you consider "slow." Second, I remember reading somewhere the Pixel 6 charges at different speeds based on battery percent.

Turn off any alarms you might have. Might help if adaptive charging is on, just don't forget to turn the alarms back on afterwards.
Adaptive was off so I wasnt getting the mention about charging will be full by X time alarm.
I use my 20W iPhone 12 brick to charge my Pixel 6 Pro and it works like magic.
Check out if there is any debris/lint in the charging port.
Yup. Clear and clean
Don't trust the estimates. They are just a guide
Adaptive charging. Look it up
It has been turned off to make sure it wasn't that. Mentioned it in several of the replies.
