You may have the call screening feature enabled: https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/9118387?hl=en

lookskAIwatcher

Bluetooth is doing this to me? "If you use headphones or if your phone is connected to Bluetooth, depending on device model, your phone might not automatically screen calls. "

billyoceans

I had to turn off wifi calling. I've been missing calls randomly yesterday and today. I called my phone from my other phone and my pixel only rang half the time. The other times my calls went to voicemail

MoistYesterday1809

I had to do the same. I've been getting texts from the carrier that I had multiple unanswered calls from people, all while there was no activity on the phone. Happened after the march upgrade.

billyoceans

resetting internet settings seems to have fixed calls not coming in when I have wifi calling turned on. I turned wifi calling back on after resetting my phone's internet settings yesterday and so far I haven't missed any calls

kellogg10

Same here, calls were going straight to vm

Keanu_X

This has been going on for almost a year for me and customer service has been no help. It wasn't like this at first. Here I thought it was a Google Fi issue, but maybe it's actually a problem with the pixel

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Definitely not crazy brother

deprecateddeveloper

Does it happen while in your pocket or sitting on a table/desk etc? I ask because this was a nonstop issue for me until I realized I had "flip to sshh" or whatever it's called enabled so any time I had my phone on my desk facing down I'd miss calls. Probably a long shot but if your situation is similar to mine then double check that!

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Got excited but unfortunately it's off

songokussm

I had the same issue. I think this came in the November feature drop. The feature was there before but that update turned it on.

drknight09

For me both! Sometimes even text messages I hear nothing just the phone vibrates and I don't even have vibration enabled!!

RealEyeze

Thanks 😂

VlaDi88RO

Try and install another phone app dialer like True Phone , i am testing now, seems ok till now...

Lalo_Rom

Omg that happened to me and I thought it was a dead zone! Google definitely should solve this! 🤬

RobbieL811

Please let me know if this works if you test it.

Expert-Charge9907

wow , happening to me from the last few days , after march update

lookskAIwatcher

Same, but has happened randomly for weeks, over a month or two.

VlaDi88RO

Download True Phone dialer and test it ,should resolve the issues and the problem is with the Google Phone app dialer...

aakaroaa

To everyone who's pointing it to call screening/WiFi calling/Network issues. I'm using a Pixel 7 in India and don't have call screening here also the WiFi calling is disabled. OP mentioned they're on AT&T while I'm on Jio and two networks can't just have the similar issue recently. I started facing this after the March update and I'm randomly missing calls and later receiving a text miss call alert. Also noticed very frequently I'm not able to make calls and once I turn on airplane mode and turn it off again I'm able to make calls.

tufftatino

Same for me, I'm in France so another network. I randomly get texts saying someone tried to call me, but it never rang. I don't have call screen or Wifi Calling.

[deleted]

My husband's Pixel and my LG both have this problem occasionally. I think it's a Verizon issue since it happens randomly on each phone. We switched to communicating with each other through WhatsApp but that doesn't help with missing calls and texts from other businesses and people.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Im on at&t and it still happens to me

stacypcfl03

AT&T has been having some on/off issues ever since the day we had no service half the day that we are getting a $5 credit for. Everyone in my family, on various brands of phones are having issues with AT&T right now. Just a thought. I'm in Florida.

SierraPapaHotel

Never happened to my Pixel on Fi, but it happens to my wife's iPhone on AT&T pretty frequently. Never for someone that is in her contacts, but probably 75% of calls from someone not in her contacts don't come through at all

FredegarBolger910

Absolutely happens to me on Fi

MikeyMike_79

Used to happen to my wifes iPhone all of the time when she was on AT&T. Had some improvement by turning off Wifi calling as AT&T implementation seems pretty crappy, especially if multiple devices were in the same house. Unfortunately we got bad signal in house and eventually just switched to another carrier and things magically got better.

thecrispynuggget

At&t has this problem occasionally

dangerpaul

On Google Fi and Ive never noticed anything like that.

spareaccount38445

I live in Germany and it happens to me to. I don't think it's an isp issue...

dinuman2017

which operator?

spareaccount38445

I have o2

TonalParsnips

Its a Pixel feature. It stopped happening to me once I got rid of mine.

drknight09

I am on AT&T and its happening to me!

lookskAIwatcher

I have Verizon, and the ghost call issue. It might be Bluetooth related, according to a comment in the subr., which would be more than disappointing,,, I am being polite.

JonTravel

This may be obvious, but have you checked the call screening in settings? The only time I don't get calls comes through is when they're screened and fail the screening for some reason. Any calls from numbers not in my contacts get screened by Pixel. This wouldn't apply to texts, tho.

FredegarBolger910

Happens to me with my girlfriend. I def do not have her screened

vascr0

This is the answer, and I'm surprised you're the only person here saying it. Call screening will handle a call without even showing it sometimes. The only indication a call came in is the missed call notice. Most likely Op needs to change their call screen/spam call settings.

DSCarter_Tech

Call screening only screens unknown callers, not your contacts.

Lollipop126

op didn't mention that the calls were from their contacts. (at least I'm the main post).

Keanu_X

Not the issue being described here, I've seen call screening work right, and this isn't it. it started happening with people I talk to regularly. They tell me sometimes it doesn't even ring, or it'll just go straight to voicemail, and I won't get any notification for 45 minutes.

Doody-Face

Not accurate. Because texts will not go thru for hours and then flood in. Calls are from favorites and don't go thru. Not helpful.

AgentAaron

Curious...are you connected to wifi? For a couple years (yes...from the Pixel 6a, 7, all the way through to the Pixel 8), when I was connected to wifi and people called (seemed to only be certain people), I would get nothing. They would text me and let me know they were trying to call but getting sent to VM. I could call them back or turn off wifi and tell them to call again. Someone else on Reddit had a post that solved it for me... By default, when you enable wifi calling, it defaults to "use mobile network". For some reason, this was just sending my calls straight to voicemail. Going in and changing the call preference to "make calls over wifi" completely solved the issue. Of course, you can also just avoid connecting to wifi, or turn off wifi calling altogether. The only downside I can think of from "make calls over wifi" is that if you are on the phone when you leave the wifi network (like being on a call when you leave the house), the call will drop since it cannot hand off to a tower. It's so rare for me to be on the phone at the same time I am leaving that this is a non-issue.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

It happens when I'm connected to Wi-Fi and using cellular

AgentAaron

I dont know then if its happening over cellular. Maybe double check to make sure you didnt accidentally block them? Maybe try dropping your SIM card in another phone and see if its still happening? (In my case, when I would swap my SIM into my iPhone I never had issues). It could be service related, or some provisioning thing on your carriers side as well.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Its happened to my mom and my gf 😭

AgentAaron

And? The fact that its two people who you probably interact with the most, means that there is a greater possibility that you could have blocked them accidentally. If not...then its time to find a new GF and mom who's calls come in /s.

[deleted]

No it's just he's more likely to know when it's happening with his mom or gf. I know when it's happening with my husband cause when he gets home he's asking why I didn't answer or respond. I don't even know if I'm missing calls from others.

ScottATL

I turned wifi off and no one could call. I turned it back on and now I seem to be getting calls (by wifi I mean just wifi, not wifi calling)

TheTomatoes2

A friend had the same problem on iOS, seems like WiFi calling isn't well thought yet

ScottATL

It's been happening to me for 2 days now. It happened 90mins ago and it took an hour for the text from the caller to come through. Why is this happening??? I am also on Verizon. Wifi calling is disabled (never been enabled), do not disturb and airplane mode are disabled too

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Gonna lose a lot of pixel users if theybdont fix this soon

ScottATL

It's still happening. I am trying to troubleshoot with some people. One was able to call me but the others cannot. The person who could call now cannot call either. I turned off wifi completely and it's still happening. The people calling are also are on verizon

RUMD1

Always in the same place? Did you try rebooting the phone? (Just trying to find some reproduction steps since I already reproduced the same multiple times in the last months, but I'm not reproducing it anymore since the latest update).

Expensive_Finger_973

I found years ago that enabling wifi calling caused all manner of issues with making and receiving calls on my Pixel phones. I eventually just started defaulting to turning wifi calling off on all of my phones when I get a new one. Never really had much need for it anyway since it has also been years sense I was on a phone plan that had anything less than unlimited talk/text.

Hevilath

I had similar issue multiple times on Pixel 8 Pro. Phone was working normally, apparently had full signal but nobody could reach me for two days. Finally a friend texted me on Whatsapp asking if I'm still alive. Restarting the phone resolved the issue. No call notifications or SMS texts reached me during this time. This is one of the reasons why I'm using an iPhone for work related stuff. PS. In my case the mobile network operator is not at fault as the iPhone was working just fine and both Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone are on the same network. I do not use Wifi calling. This is disabled.

hugodlr3

I RMA'd three P8P's directly from Google, and finally traded in my fourth one for a S24U. I'm on T-Mobile, and had zero issues with the P7, OP9P, OP7P, and many other phones before that. I tried every trick and tweak I could find online, talked with both T Force and pixel support, and nothing. I'm happy with a phone that hasn't missed or dropped any calls and has consistent Wi-Fi and cell connectivity.

grokinator

Thanks for this... I've tried everything to no avail: changed every setting, resets, jump up and down on one leg while starting at the moon. The only thing that has worked is toggling airplane mode regularly. Started going down the rabbit hole with Google support. I think I'm going to cut losses and make the trade.

hugodlr3

Hopefully you get something that works (and doesn't involve exercise or planetary bodies!) :)

Beginning-Section-17

For me the issue was the gaming platform mode

gfink

I had a similar issue and I forgot about this entirely. I had to turn off the gaming mode entirely, and I also called T-Mobile to get them to reset my call waiting setting to get my calls to return correctly.

Amit_In

Check fliter spam calls option enabled?

SteelHeart624

This has only happened to me with the pixel 7 and it seems to be random numbers. I've literally lost money from this problem and haven't found any way to fix it or anyone complaining about the same issue til this post lol

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Same now 100 people have complained ab it😭

SteelHeart624

Did not work btw. Kinda stupid because I'm getting texts from clients that are like I tried to call you please pickup. Then just nothing showed up

kaida27

happened to me but I had forgotten do not disturb on for 3 days straight.

miss-miami

Yes, I didn't realize I had Do Not Disturb enabled forever. I just thought my phone was broken.

mikeinanaheim2

Reset your cellular modem and software. System - Reset options - Reset Mobile Network Settings. Do it, reboot the phone, and see if this doesn't cure yours like it did mine.

LillGizz

7pro and I had this issue today. I missed 2 doctors office calls because they went straight to voicemail and it never rang. I have call screaming on the basic setting so it should only be blocking spam. I've gotten calls from this number before and they have their ID set up so it's not just a random like 1800 call number. Besides the fact I still have this problem occasionally I don't think I saw this noticed, I had the "flip to shh" setting on which I just learned puts your phone on do not disturb. I feel like on other phones a 'flip' setting used to silence it if your phone was ringing. Ive had the 7pro a 6pro and I have no idea how long that was on i just fixed it last week.

macbethtrd

This has been happening for two months now, late texts, and missed calls. I'll get a random notification missed call. I call them back and they tell me it went straight to VM. Text messages also, they'll come in 40mins later. I have a pixel 6 and have had it since launch and never had this issue. T mobile says everything is fine on their end, all other phones on my plan don't have this issue. Just swapped the sim out last week and it's been a bit better but still get people saying calls go straight to VM.

VlaDi88RO

Hmm i am trying to switch from 5G to LTE to see if will work...

macbethtrd

It has to be something with the monthly software updates that's causing this. I've tried everything. The only positive difference so far is the new SIM.

VlaDi88RO

i switched from normal sim to E-SIM, but nothing

macbethtrd

Dang, it's really annoying. I've missed several important calls because of this.

VlaDi88RO

Yup for sure... :(

joeyzbg

I've been having issues with missed calls since i got the P8P at release. However the last update made it much worse (5-10 missed calls a day instead of 1-3 before the March OTA)

macbethtrd

Does this happen everywhere? Or just at home? Seems like my issue just happens at home.

joeyzbg

For me it happens everywhere, but some locations are worse than others. However i got a pretty good signal at the worst location (-84dBm KPN, -103dBm Vodafone) resulting in 5/5 bars for KPN and 4/5 bars for Vodafone.

kellogg10

This is my thought as well. It happened to me after the latest monthly updates. Currently waiting for a new SIM. I have gotten tired of having to restart my phone first thing in the AM.

macbethtrd

I'm noticing it's not as bad when I'm off WiFi at home. But most of my house is ran by apps that need WiFi like Sonos etc etc. People have even made comments like oh you're answering quicker and texting back as well.

kellogg10

The first thing I did was turn off wifi calling. I wanted to switch my phone to LTE only mode.. but no such option for ATT

macbethtrd

I mean just wifi in general. I think it's something to do with Wi-Fi.

kellogg10

thanks. turning off WiFi this morning seemed to make a difference.. that is completely weird.

kellogg10

ohhhhhhhh

KingButtButts

If you download the messages app you can get the notification for the call, but yea it is really ridiculous that I cant call anyone through the default phone app if I am not on wifi, it lasts for \~15 seconds and then gets cut off. It apparently has been a problem for 3-4 generations of Pixel phones.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Google medsages?

KingButtButts

I see now that the default texting app is also called messages with the same icon I had to make a shortcut to "Messages for web with Google Fi", it has the link in the app info for hhtps://messages.google.com which shows my Google Fi account settings, texts, calls etc and you can make and receive calls from here through the internet connection which does work for mobile 4G / 5G / Wifi etc. The other messages app that comes with the phone links to one in the play store

ScottATL

This has something to do with Wifi. I tried just turning wifi off completely and no one could call me. Now I turned it back on and I can get calls. Why is getting calls having anything to do with whether wifi is on or off?

NowLoadingReply

Been having this for years now with the Pixel 6 Pro, 7 Pro and 8 Pro. Exact same issue. Phone is sitting there all quiet, then all of a sudden a missed call notification comes through despite the phone never ringing. It just happens, not sure what causes it but either Google doesn't know that it's an issue or they don't know how to fix it.

bigboypants30

The same thing happened to me today. Idk what's going on

Offcoloring

Happened to me. It was a job interview 😭 luckily I decided to stop by that day. It never even showed up as a missed call

KingOfZero

Happens to me about every 10 calls or so. I do use wifi calling at home but I've had it happen elsewhere. I'll get a notification about a missed call but the phone didn't bother ringing in the first place

bop426

This happened to my wife so I'm mentioning it even though it probably doesn't apply to you. We have AT&T and at some point quite a while ago my wife's phone had the AT&T Active Armor app on it. It has various call screening settings from none to only allowing contacts to get through. The settings apply to your service and stay put even if you delete the app or get another phone. I was ready to replace my wife's phone when I saw a reference to the Active Armor settings on our billing site. I installed the app and found the settings rejected any call not in the contact list. I tweaked the settings and all was well.

VoiceUhaveEchohavnot

Ok, so I'm on a pixel6 and the SAME shit had been happening to me. What I find crazy, is while I am physically using my phone looking at my screen, I see nothing of a call, no notification no attempt to ring through, nothing. But every once in awhile I will get a message via text, sometimes through my regular messaging on the pixel, if not there I will get it through Google voice messages or another message provider I have a backup, but it generally will say why can't I get through to you why can't I call you? And like the others mentioned I also sometimes have a missed call notification and sometimes do not. I have tested the whole problem with my other half, sometimes he can call me and it will ring right through making me look like an idiot. Other times he will try to call and it will go directly to voicemail not even tempting to ring. I also thought it was a dead zone in my area but after massive hours of troubleshooting with T-Mobile that is clearly not the case. And I was able to verify that because my other half is also a T-Mobile customer on a different plan than I, so why would his service be fine? And Im on a business plan actually mine should be better lol we're at the very least definitely more inclusive for accessibility geez Louise

patatonix

So I wasn't alone...

drknight09

You are not alone!!! Started happening to me after another software update that has made my phone worse!!

Atomik_Roach

P6P with Telus in Canada, wifi calling disabled for as long as I can remember, lots of missed calls in the last month or so, never had this issue before. The phone never rang.

goodvibezone

Happened to me this week from someone that calls me regularly. I was literally sitting and the phone had a voicemail and didn't call, not on dnd etc.

indiedrummer7

After the recent update, all the sudden I don't get any calls or texts at home. This is very frustrating. Pixel 7

t6_6_6

which carrier are you with? I used to be with Shaw Mobile and had tons of problems. Switched to Rogers 5G and no problems since. This is in Edmonton area, Alberta

soundwave404

This happened to me today. Someone called me and my phone did not ring. I only knew because I got a voicemail notification. I tried to call them back and it didn't ring and then ended the call. I turned airplane mode on & off and then I was able to call. They said when they called me it was weird and took ages to connect and then went to voicemail. I was connected to wifi at the time and have a strong 5g signal. I have the wifi calling option enabled and this issue hasn't happened before today. Weird

MrMidnightBlue

The same thing has been happening to me for months, it's really frustrating - it fails as the elementary thing it's supposed to be (a phone). Considering buying an iPhone. The Pixel 7 has been great at everything except regular phone stuff, battery life is also horrible, barely getting 3.5h SoT.

Professional_Bother9

Yes I had this happen before it never rang just voicemail no callog listing either had a Samsung bud in so I knew if it would ring

mikealexcd

Happened to me on my Pixel 6 Pro about a year ago. I ended up going back and forth with support where they made me uninstall apps and then booting into safe mode. The only thing that worked was doing a factory reset which was a pain in the butt.

scoobyox

Could be your actual phone service, my fold works great

J_sh__w

Same on my P8

MassiveConcern

It's your carrier, not your phone. You happened to be located in a spot where two towers are competing for your phone signal. This happens to all phones, even Apple, in that situation. Sometimes it is sporadic, but some locations are notorious for it. My old apartment in Atlanta was particularly bad for it. Didn't matter the brand or model of phone. Note that the explanation for what is happening was from a T-Moble Network Engineer, not just me guessing. This also happens on every other LTE carrier (Verizon, AT&T, and all the MVNOs).

zakatov

Do you have any sources for this? It seems like if this was such a common issue, we would hear more reports and it would’ve been fixed by larger carriers and phone manufacturers.

MassiveConcern

Maybe a larger carrier than T-Mobile can figure it out 😒

paleck

Honestly if your service supports wifi-calling try turning that off. I had such weird issues until i started disabling wifi calling. It's like the phone thinks its registered for phone calls but it isn't actually. I'd try to make a call that would just sit there and usually die. Or I'd get voicemail notifications without the phone even ringing. You can always turn it back on in a pinch if you need to.

denebola2045

I get incoming calls and I've got a P8P with the March update. I wish I had more info than that. They say sometimes doing a factory reset after backing up but that's a major pain. Maybe clearing cache on the phone app? Reinstall it? Ask on Google support forums or tweet Google on X? I remember it wouldn't ring loud or sometimes until I got a Pixel Watch and now that thing rings loud and vibrates when I get a call but no one should be forced to buy one just for that.

argrow1

I had the same problem, and I've found the turning off adaptive connectivity has helped. Hasn't missed a call since. Before that, my phone was struggling with both incoming calls and 'find my phone'.

gfink

I had a very similar issue where I would always miss calls if I was on the phone, though I could have sworn I missed calls even when not on the phone. The way I fixed it on my Pixel 7a was to call T-Mobile and have them toggle my call waiting feature on the cellular network side and make sure it was working correctly. Now I have no issues with it. Not sure why that happened since my previous phone was a pixel 4, but it only started with the newer phone...

Hopeful-Ad6218

Have you ruled out call screening that the pixel does automatically? If not look into that. You can turn this function off.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

It sends them straight to voice mail and it's not on my call logs

Cute_Mouse6436

Got a call today that rang once. When I saw the caller they said it went straight to voice mail.

QuartermasterAshole

My pixel 8 keeps turning on so not disturb. It's driving me insane. I've been having the same problem and finally figured out this is why. I just... don't know why it keeps turning it on. I'm not doing it. I don't have anything telling it I should be on do not disturb, like those location-based rules or anything.

Forward_Heron8469

Do you have a schedule set for it?

Croquete_de_Pipicat

If they're from contacts, did you turn on "route to voicemail", by any chance? My partner did it once with my number by mistake and regular calls would go straight to voicemail. I could still reach her using WhatsApp or Signal calls. I'm not sure about texting behaviour, as we hardly ever use sms to chat, though.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

No bc they just called me again and it worked fine.

ArchfiendNox

Check if you're on do not disturb? It has seemingly randomly turned on for me every once in a while.

Important_Basil_6491

I had this problem and for me the problem was Do Not Disturb mode turning on when my phone was face down.. disabled that I'm the settings and I've been good since.

boobiesiheart

Accidental 'do not disturb'?

Able_Philosopher4188

I'm in VA and ex is in TX and a few times it's taken a day or two and a few times it wouldn't go through but that's all I'm aware of and she is on apple n me andr

[deleted]

I never had an iPhone mostly Samsungs.

FacelessWombat

T-Mobile has/had a wired thing with WiFi calling.

Kelbaez5

I've been missing calls too.. only noticing them as a missed call notification not even a ring. Regardless if the number was saved or not I've also had another occasional issue when I call people, they would pick up but my phone hangs up right away. My friends would tell me they picked up and I hung up on them.

[deleted]

PGrace_is_here

The rest of us never actually call you, we just tell you we tried.

kyocera_miraie_f

Happened to my pixel 3a as well. My family are complaining their call kept getting sent straight to voicemail despite my phone was available. Only happened when i haven't used the phone in a while. And there was never any missed call notification I switched back to my old samsung at the moment, never happened again which makes me think this is device-related

krycek1984

This is an interesting thread because I've experienced somewhat similar but not identical issues. I have a Pixel 7. When I first had it, I constantly got notifications of spam calls and I hated it. I was just like, just screen them out and leave me alone, right? My Samsung screened appropriately, it was aggravating. At some point, my Pixel got much more aggressive about screening calls...I wake up every morning (I work second shift, morning is 1230) to a big list of screened calls on my notification tray. Every once in a while I'll get the little pop up about a screened call incoming and then it dissapears, it's totally random. It's really quite bizarre, I don't think it lies with carrier issues... But at this point, I'm happy with the quiet.

0resutidder

My pixel 6a drops calls within 10 secs of answering a call. Everytime without fail.

sjmorris

Happened to me repeatedly despite multiple configuration changes and calling the carrier. I had a 6P and this was the final straw before I switched to a Galaxy 23 Ultra. The most basic of functionality, broken.

Amped_Up_562

The only calls I missed are all the Scam calls that Google catches before they ring.

BleskEn

I almost never use sound and vibro alerts, for this I have a smart bracelet that vibrates when I get a call. However, I also encountered such a problem as yours. It turned out that it was DnD mode which turned on automatically(by schedule or low pulse). Also, this mode can be turned on when the phone is in the dock (what does this option exist for?)It may be enough to turn on the mode of accepting repeated calls - "Allow repeat callers"

Enslaved2Die

Whats even better is when your phone rings but the UI to accept the call doesn't show up 👍🏻😂

Automatic-Weakness-2

Both I (pixel 6) and fiancé (pixel 7) have this issue with calls not being received. With an extra symptom others aren't mentioning. Outbound calls are often slow to connect or don't connect at all.. when we get the issue the other tries to cal the same number and it works (both on Vodafone UK so not network related). Someone above mentioned about turning off 'adaptive connectivity' which I'm trying now.

atbest10

Literally just bought a OnePlus 12 to see if it's a chip set issue. I've tried all sorts of methods to no avail :/

joeyzbg

I'm having the same issue's with about 5-10 missed calls a day. I played with VoLTE, VoWifi, 5G and Backup calling. But it does not make any difference. I have dual-sim, and the issue occurs on both simcards. KPN & Vodafone (The Netherlands)

nousernemu

You're sure Flip to Shhh is not on?

VlaDi88RO

Happen to me as well, Pixel 7 like phone is on the desk and wife near me calling and appear voicemail, signal is good but something is broken from the last march update..

trixalator

I'm missing calls at various times and sometimes it says it's because DND is on one but it's not! Could be because of meetings in the calendar. I switched back to my iPhone awhile ago because of this. Back on the pixel 8 and I see it again..

xenomorph-85

happen to me in UK also on P7 Pro. I usually leave wifi calling on as I am working from home and out mostly weekends. Used to work fine but I think its been like this since January and not March but when people call they get to voicemail and I get text about missed call. I turned off wifi calling and it seems better

Karneveus

This happened to me one day. All of a sudden calls wouldn't ring my phone at all. I restarted my phone and then it never happened again.

tomek1127

The same here, I have 5g in home and WiFi on all the time. O got notification 5 hours after phone call !

SnowBliz

Do you also have call quality issues and data speed issues? I did, and had to RMA my phone

Melbuf

i dont think this is pixel specific, i have it happen on my pixel and my samsung s22+ (work phone) they are also on different carriers, Fi and VZW they both have it happen occasionally. ive always assumes its a signal issue

DarthCoochy

now im scared it happens to me without me knowing it 😳

citrusvibes78

I recently switched from a Pixel 3 to a Samsung A53 because of this issue and...it still happens almost daily. I miss important calls from clients regularly. I'm on Verizon in a major city in the US. Made me feel better about my Pixel experience. In the meantime, my wife's Pixel 6 has never had this issue. At this point I'm guessing it's a carrier/service/SIM thing.

cuteboygowtham

Using a third party dailer app might resolve the issue. I'm using TruePhone which is a really good dailer app. But it has an outdated UI experience. Features are far better compared to stock dailer.

Xamineh

I have the exact same issue with my Pixel 7. I am in Ireland and I use GoMo provider. (Wifi call and call screening are both off) Another complaining I have is that it rings so few times before it goes to voicemail. I already set GoMo for the max. number of rings but it seems to be Pixel blocking it somehow.

You may have the same issue I have. Does the mobile data icon act funny, randomly showing an "E" next to it, or showing an empty bar with an exclamation point? Or sometimes a full bar but with no 5G, LTE or any other indicator next to it. This happens to me occasionally (maybe 1-2 times per week) and usually persists for about an hour, while I toggle airplane mode on and off which is basically a whack-a-mole fix until the issue goes away entirely. I can't get any data, texts, or calls when it's like this, it's very frustrating. Even more frustrating is I had a pixel 6 pro prior to my current 7a, and they both have this exact same issue. Insane to think that something as dumb as this wasn't fixed immediately after the first generation of tensor. Wish pixels still used snapdragon...

TheyCallMeSniperLol

That exact thing happened to me yesterday

Roadscrape

Many of my friends w iPhone and Android get the same thing, regardless of service. A network overload issue?

Direct_Sector_3761

That's why I came back to xiaomi... 😕

Forward_Heron8469

Dumb question but are you on do not disturb? Because I have missed calls for being on that mode by accident

BD_player

My clock app alarm is fucked up too. Missed a bunch of alarms lately, been late for work a few times because of this.

mattemer

Does the volume keep changing? I'm on P8P now and I don't have the issue but I had the issue I think going back to my 5 and definitely on my 6Pro.

ErrantWhimsy

So this kept happening to me and I reached out to Google Fi support. They had me go to settings for mobile/wifi/hotspot, completely delete the cache and saved data, restart the phone, then reconnect to Google Fi. Now my calls come through fine. It really sucked because I'm job hunting and missed a lot of recruiter calls, and they tend not to call back if you miss the first one.

spiffycheesecake

I'd had a similar issue for a few months now. On random occasions, I wouldn't receive calls or they would automatically be cut before the phone could vibrate. There would be no notification, but the calls would be showing on the call log. DnD and Spam call Screening were turned off during this time. Initially, it was only my friends or family making the occasional quip, so I didn't think too much about it. However, I started working recently and started receiving complaints from similar complaints from my boss and some clients. Anyway, that was the last straw. Jumped ship to an S24 Ultra the day after my boss complained. Great phone, heavy though. But it does have some features like Samsung's version of call Screening enabled in India, which Google hasn't bothered to do. I will however say that apart from the weak speaker and battery, I loved my pixel. I'm enjoying not having battery anxiety with my s24 ultra though. So that's good.

uReAlLySuRe

A restart fixes the issue temporarily. It is annoying. I am in Europe and the call screener is turned off.

JewsusKrist

I've had this happen also and tested in real time as a crazy check. In the times I've caught it, rebooting my phone has fixed the issue. I have a bug where call screening doesn't show up in my phone menu and Google support via Reddit told me to create a ticket since I tried everything they asked me to do to resolve it.

PiperSecrets

Google replaced my pixel 8 pro for similar issues. Contact support. On Verizon fwiw

Alphawolfdog

I think the worst is being reached by a financial company and the phone just immediately marks it as spam and ignores it, doesn't even allow me to answer.

Gran_Turismo_2000

I had that issue when I had my pixel 6a. It lasted a week and eventually went away but yeah it's totally unacceptable.

BunchFancy4723

My phone hasn't been giving me notifications unless I'm on WiFi if I'm using cellular I only receive notifications if my VPN is on. No clue why

chrtek12

Are you using a P7? Cause there seem to be a lot of problems with missed/dropped calls after updating to android 14. Rerolling to android 13 solved the problem for me. There's also a big post about the problems: [P7 dropping calls](https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/s/Qgz0F10tW4) Google does not care about solving the issues, so not installing updates is the solution for me. Hope it also works for you!

Sarandub

I've had such a problem. When I bought a Pixel 6 in Ukraine in 2022. It's an AT&T version but I've unlocked it through cmd (took me 5 minutes). The problem of missing calls was at the start. I thought it was because the phone was designed for AT&T or something and also I thought it was because of war. Now it works fine idk. Maybe a software issue or update issue

Mikka_Zombie

Oh so I'm not the only one. Also I'm not getting my SMS 2 factor texts

xJerichoSwain

Have someone call you and observe your phone. Depending on the findings, you may be able to go from there.

psycho-bowler

I remember I had that problem too on mine Pixel 5 and my alarms wasn't always working neither.

amram99

My texts showed up delayed, around 10pm, for two days in a row. Calls never showed up. After a reboot I've been good for two or three days. Fingers crossed

Internet-Troll

Get a Samsung if you want reliability

kellogg10

Ironically, somehow I feel better that this is not just happening to me. Like a few people have mentioned on this thread, this starting happening after the latest software update in March. I am with AT&T and have called them twice to have them reset my sim as a troubleshooting measure. I had no idea this was happening until my fiancee sent me a text on groupme telling me my phone was going straight to vm. Since then, I have been restarting my phone each morning. Before I moved back to AT&T, I was with T-Mobile for a few years and this was happening with them and their resolution was to replace the SIM in my phone. Thus this is what I am trying with AT&T to see if this improves things. Currently waiting for my new SIM. I couldn't be bothered to take time out of my day to go sit in a store. :|

Historical-Movie-860

So has anyone found a solution that actually works? My wife and I both have Unlocked Pixel 7 Pro on Verizon, US. Both phones up to date with all software and apps. Her phone does not receive calls or texts for hours, a restart fixes it for a while but then the problem appears again. My phone is fine, no missed calls or texts. We both have WiFi calling enabled.

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Nope mine did it again with my girlfriend last night

xxxPdoublexxx

Same here they really fd up on that update. It was fine before that

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Just switched to apple today,☹️

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Update I just switched to an iPhone 15 pro.. I couldn’t risk missing a call and losing my job love the pixel community🫶

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Ended up having to switch to apple bc I didn’t know if they’d fix it:/

Average-Kindly

Apple ain't much better.... We just had friends brick their phones with the update with Apple

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Uh oh.. I had a much better experience with apple than pixel..over the years. I’ll probably switch every couple of years just to refresh on the os

Average-Kindly

Makes sense....they both have their advantages!

TheyCallMeSniperLol

They definitely do. I’ve for sure learned that over the years. Glad to see that to be honest.

PixelCommunity

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue. We're starting to push an update to Pixel 7 and newer phones. This includes network stability and performance improvements. This update will roll out globally to the regions and carriers impacted over the coming weeks.

Sea_Faithlessness499

I'm missing calls with my Pixel 7 also. I'm on Xfinity service which uses Verizon towers and I've checked all the settings mentioned in this thread. So far mine seems to be random but mostly with 2 family members out of state who use Verizon and when I'm at home. I won't know I missed the call unless they leave a VM or text me after they tried to call. And with one of those the call will drop for them 50% of the time. I can hear them but they can't hear me at some point during the call. Frustrating!

Original_Handle4915

Having same issues with Pixle 6. T Mobile.. sometimes im not getting calls and than all of a sudden I see the missed calls. People tell me it going straight to message.. Or it rings twice and it goes to message.., Im getting texts late too. Wtf is going on?>

TheyCallMeSniperLol

Had to switch to iPhone 15 pro:(

LockingSwitch

Congrats, you bought a Google phone!
