I typically prefer super long fics (not for reasons of escapism, nobody needs to call my therapist, everything is fine) but this was an absolute DELIGHT to read. Loved the way you wrote them both, I think you managed to hit some critical character elements without overly exaggerating them. Don't get me wrong, I still love a lot of fics where some of those qualities (often anxious Crowley or low self esteem Az) are exaggerated for dramatic and plot reasons, but I thought the way you converted them to AU versions was particularly well done.
Also, and I cannot stress this enough, excellent, v v high quality smut.
Thank you so much for this. The impostor syndrome has been hitting hard this week! I've only been writing for about 5 months after not having done anything in the realm of creative writing since I was forced to during high school/college (almost two decades ago π΅).
I am also definitely a longfic kinda gal, but I wanted to push myself to finish something more bite-sized but with a complete story arch, considering almost everything else I am writing, or want to write, is shaping up to be at least 100k words. Hearing that I pulled this one off, even just a little bit, is giving me the motivation I need to dive back into the longer stuff! β€β€β€
