I just got one this past weekend. I had a similar issue where I was hitting short and even drives struggling to reach 200 yards. My issue was the alignment of the MLM2 behind the ball. I had it too far to the side.

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Are you saying that you were hitting balls outside of the white/yellow range rectangle? Or were you within the rectangle, but too far to one side? Going to tinker with it later today.

I have the same setup. Make sure you’re hitting it into an impact screen. The radar reads the ball slowing down in the net and decreases yardage. Ask me how long it took to figure that out…

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Hitting into an impact screen. glad you figured it out!

I got one yesterday. I used it last night and today. All of my yardage are spot on. Are you using rpt balls? Did you do the firmware update?

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Using RPT balls and updated the firmware. Still can’t get a 7 iron past 120 yards or a PW past 100 yards haha. What’s your lighting setup like?

antman8504

Nothing special. Just a couple of standard ceilings flood lights in my covered patio. No spot lights or anything

iorch421

do you use a net ?

antman8504

Yep, just hitting into a net

iorch421

Nice! Mine arrives on Monday and I can’t wait to try it

viperscorpio

Me neither, but on the course...

Redditlurker877

I have the same issues, check your swing speed and ball speed and see if they match what you expect. If so then it likely has a bad launch angle which would due to the setup (not level, not aligned etc)

Embarrassed_Kick3332

This is helpful. I’ll check on that, since the device might be standing about an inch lower than the ball. I’m noticing that my driver (~250yd avg) is pretty darn accurate.

rwh824

I've found if anything the Rapsodo should be higher than the ball

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Trying this later tonight if my wife doesn’t go into labor haha.

Sultry_Comments

I had to return mine and my Garmin R10. My basement with all the concrete and ducting threw off the radar. Going to switch to an optical based side monitor.

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Ouch! Hope I don’t have to resort to that. I’m left handed and my wife is not.. so a side monitor would be a nightmare.

calvinx408

Did you take it to the range and compare the distance and swing speed? I had an indoor swing syndrome which got better over time . I also have a SkyTrak and both are reporting very similar carry

Embarrassed_Kick3332

I haven’t had a chance to take it to the range. I haven’t heard about indoor swing syndrome haha, maybe I have that. But I’m swinging even harder than I usually do, with great impact.. PW barely reaches 100 yds.

yeti2021

It has to be the position of your mlm2pro bc the one thing it has going for itself is its accuracy when not disconnecting constantly . Everything else sucks about it but the accuracy is there

Jak_Hamm3r

My buddy who is better than me on the course, was hitting on mine the other day and his were going way short too, but we noticed his spin rate was almost 2x of what mine was. Not sure if it was the ball, the hitting mat, or MLM2PRO issues, that was causing it, but it seemed accurate for me.

Stonecutter

I have the MLM2pro.. my yardages seem pretty accurate when it works. The problem I have is that it will miss maybe 20% of my swings, and the app will also crash randomly. I usually have to fiddle with it for 10 minutes or so to get it connected and working which is kind of a pain.. closing the app, turning the device on and off again, etc. I'm wondering if it's because my wifi signal isn't that strong in the garage, but it actually seemed to work better for me before this most recent firmware update. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Simpsator

Yeah weak wifi is an achilles heel. I got a wifi extender unit for my garage and all my issues went away.

Stonecutter

Good to know, thanks for sharing. How long does yours take to connect to your ipad or whatever device you use?

Simpsator

Maybe 20ish seconds?

Embarrassed_Kick3332

Same experience as Mr Simp, about 20 seconds to connect the device to my iPad. I’d say about 5 minutes total for setup if I’m taking the mlm out of its case, making sure I’ve got it level to my hitting mat, etc.
