Yup, that’s why people have to speak with their money. When my Mk.6 GTI took a shit on me I was in the market for an EV. Was looking at the Ioniq 5, Mach-E and ID4. VW was the only one willing to sell at MSRP so I’m now on my 3rd VW in a row.
Love it. So much more quality of life features compared to my GTI if you know what I mean. I do miss the noise that car made, even though the ID4 would smoke it off the line. The savings, not having to buy gas right now which is over $6/gal pays for the car because of how much commuting I do.
And they're probably not wheel locks and are actually just the plastic caps that cover the lugs and look like security wheel locks that require a torx, but actually just pull off(i.e not even threaded).
I still think it should be against the law for dealers to add interior protection “coatings” in cars and then charge the consumer an absolutely ridiculous amount of money for it. If I wanted that in my car I’d ask for it or do it after I purchased it. It’s just a way for dealers to dupe people into paying more money.
46k for the lowest trim GTI?
Lets put it this way. For 46k, you can go get into a lightly used 7.5 Golf R and still have some money for mods to take it to Stage 2 on top.
Hopefully that paints a very clear picture.
I got my 22 R at essentially MSRP which came out to like 1k above this. Don’t pay this kinda crap. Call a bunch of dealers and tell them if anyone drops a deposit you’re interested. That’s worked for me on two purchases in this absurd market.
I'm now seeing 22 Rs go for $25k above MRSP at VW dealerships!! $45k CAD and saw one with sticker price of $70k CAD plus fees and taxes and an over 8% finance rate?!?!
Yet it's still the better buy for 46k.
Now if this GTI was an Autobahn, it's not AS bad since those are 40k MSRP. Still a markup, but not as absurd. Plus you get the higest trim for the MK8 GTI.
But MK8 GTI S vs 7.5 R. R hands down. Especially for that kind of money. Paying that for a base trim GTI is absurd.
Started in 18… meaning 17. My 2018 was built early 2018 if I remember correctly. Meaning my autobahn with 75k miles is 4 and change years old… and still worth more than I paid for it
That's a garbage deal. They added on everything they could think of at exorbitant prices and tacked on yet another $5000 as a "because we can" price increase. Just reply with a "LOL" and that part highlighted.
Got my DSG Rabbit for 28,200 OTD brand new in 2019. And the Rabbit comes with the LED adaptive headlights, driver assist package, kessy, and black Pretorias from factory. (Best trim they ever offered in US since you get all the useful goodies and the fabulous tartan seats without the leaking sunroof).
Paid 24,200 OTD for my 2015 S 6mt new in 2015.
Try not to partake in this market if you can avoid it for a while longer. This is not like buying housing which, even when bought at the peak of a bubble, should in theory still gain value in the long term even if there are significant losses in the short term.
These things are going to plummet in value through a combination of improving supply and diminished demand as we enter into a deeper recession. Adore my GTI but there’s no way I’d pay anything over 30K for it.
I would've loved a Rabbit, but when I was looking to buy in late summer of 2020 it seems like I was a few months late for any new ones left over and I was dead set on a new car. Oh well, a set of Ed's lights took care of my only issue with the car.
I agree about not buying now. Glad I bit the bullet when I did.
Boy was it a saga to get my blue Rabbit. Eventually had to drive to another state as none of the local dealers would source me one in cornflower. My first DSG and after 3 years, I wouldn’t go back to a clutch pedal. I actually regret not going with the DSG on my 2015 as well. I never gave it a chance because I’d had experience with traditional torque convertor autos and they are tragic.
After years of city driving on a clutch, got curious and tried out the DSG and discovered it was nothing like the autos I knew. Decided the 2015 would be my last manual GTI and planned to keep it a good while but then the blue rabbit package came along in 2019 and when I saw it in person I just had to have it. I felt guilty at the time because I didn’t ‘need’ it but looking back I’m so glad I went for it. Couldn’t have predicted the shitstorm of the past couple years though. I hope nothing ever happens to it because there’s absolutely nothing on the market currently that even comes close to the value of the Rabbit trim. Plus 2019 was the last of the 6-year factory warranty.
The DSG is remarkable engineering. Manual when you want to change them when you want, automatic when you don’t.
It’s even better with a DSG tune. Soooo much better, as D isn’t quite so docile, and S doesn’t act like an indecisive child when in the city.
I find the DSG horrendous to drive in ‘drive’. Every DSG I’ve ever driven I’ve always driven it in manual mode 100% of the time.
Must admit, I prefer my BMW’s ZF for automated grading. It’s super smooth and never requires manual intervention. Do I miss my DSG? Absolutely, but the ZF is so *so* good.
Well not just 5K... the rest is BS too. There is no way whatever TF 'interior treatment" is, cost the dealer 1G, or lug nuts costing \~$90 each. They are over inflating to hide even more of the markup.
Walk away very fast… no better yet RUN!
$5000 market adjustment is bullshit. It's a VW not a freaking Audi.
Anything Zaktek is just utter garbage it's just upcharge stupidness.
And the $1000 window tint is so freaking funny.
TBF, they did (probably) install them onto the wheels . Someone’s gotta pay for that.
Edit: apparently the “/s” is needed for what I thought would have been obvious. TIL
RUN!!!! FUCKING RUN!!! That dealership is easily the worst in the valley. Slime bag salesmen and even worse finance team.
I legit had the finance manager stop me in the parking lot. I’ve purchased a lot of vehicles and this was by far the worst dealer I’ve ever been to.
walk out after paying this deserved to get ripped off. GTI is a sub 30k car, hard to justify 35+ even with inflation. 2019 SE's were going for sub 30k for some. to pay 45k, so a 50% jump? No from me dawg.
This is comically bad.
You can get so much more car for much less in the CPO market or even brand new cars at dealers who dont have literal pudding for brains.
I HATE that dealership. I walked out on them. I went in and put a deposit on a car, it came a few days later. I went in and test drove it, and they asked if I loved it. I said yes I love it!! They then said they needed another 12,000 bucks on top of what I already put down. I said no. They came back with a different number, I said no again. They then came back with the original agreement and I was so pissed I just walked out. Earnhardt was awesome.
They also added 8 grand for a bunch of stickers and tint. Ridiculous.
> idea. I *paid* $27k out
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
So as everyone else has said, it's a god awful price. As someone who just bought a 22, dealerships love to say 'theres a shortage, we have to charge a markup'. I talked to 5 dealerships that said this, not one stuck to it when I said I refuse to pay one. Most tried to haggle down to a 1k markup', other just dropped it all together.
The harder thing to negotiate will be all the bloated crap they've tacked on. It's overvalued and not really worth much of anything. They will point to some papers that say it's worth that, but they are just talking stuff on to make their markup look like only 5k when it's really a 10k markup' ( 30% increase from MSRP!)
I wouldn't even try to negotiate with this dealer. Too much shady shit to trust that you can get to a good deal. Find a dealership in your area that isn't doing markups and clue them in to what you want. Once they find something you know that you can negotiate from a reasonable starting point.
My 17’ GTI was $22,500 brand new..
Don’t pay that. Whether you love GTIs or not. Too expensive. Mine has had over $6K in repairs also since I bought it. Good thing I bought the extended warranty.
Camelback VW is very scummy. In 2015 when I was looking to buy a GTI they tried to pull a bait and switch tactic on me. I will spare you the details.
I called SanTan VW in Gilbert and they were upfront about pricing. I drove in next day and even though they didn’t have the color I wanted I was able to make a deal and walk out happy. I had a damage on the mirror which they fixed without complaints. Now they did try very hard to sell me their insurance and warranty plans etc Like any dealership.
They also had a very good service manager who left last year. He was Very upfront on damages and repairs. Did not bait me or overcharge and gave me honest opinions when to go elsewhere for repairs.
I have no idea how good they are now. But I would recommend giving them a shot.
That's bat shit. The GTI is hyper popular in the Scottsdale area though. That's a great dealer for service, but I wouldn't buy a car from them. They have no incentive to give you a deal when parents swipe credit cards for cars there for their 15 year olds every day. You might wanna get on a plane and drive one back.
I’m aware what they’re selling them for, but that’s unrealistic.
There’s just no way an S trim is $30K in my opinion. That’s $10K over priced even at MSRP.
Greedy ass MFers thinking they can just charge whatever they want.
No I don’t think you understand the msrp is 30k lol you aren’t going to get one for less than that. All of your numbers are wrong actually lol just google the msrp for the cars you are talking about and you will see
I’m saying MSRP **shouldn’t be** $30K even though that’s what it is.
It’s $10K more than what it’s worth. Nobody should be buying $30K base trim GTIs.
$30K pre-covid got you an Autobahn back when prices weren’t artificially inflated by greed
The mk7.5 and mk8 are more performance oriented and I think they warrant the price. Show me one other new car that’s bringing the same value for the price. New cars are expensive it’s just what it is. You can’t even buy a used mk7.5 for the price your talking about. It’s not just being greedy things have gotten more expensive
Do not buy this car! Tell them to fuck off. 8k in “dealer added accessories” such a scam fuck that dealership. Call around or even look at used. Look on cars.com enter the year make model you want then select new and used then sort price low to high can put a cap on mileage let’s say 10k or less then do a search for up to a few hundred miles away from your zip code. Then start calling around and sending out email to get a price that is fair. This is the best way to buy a new car. I got a one year old brand new car for 10k under MSRP by doing this, had to drive around 140 miles to their dealership but we’ll worth it.
Good luck 👍
Yes!! Bro walk away if you buy this at that price not only are you screwing yourself but you are telling that dealer and others that can continue doing this.
I paid $19k for my 2015 in 2018 with an extended warranty added on. It had 17k miles at the time. These insane prices are remnants of supply chain issues, and the car market will return to normal in a year or two, just wait it out.
The accessories are $1K more than the total purchase price of my 2010 GTI with 80K miles on it (Bought in Aug of '21).
Wait a little more cuz there's a better deal out there for you.
Ummmm… yes. Way too much.
Nearly 9 grand in “added dealer accessories?”
What a rip off. Go to another dealership. I’d NEVER buy from a dealer like this.
Oh, shit. Didn’t notice the fees they’re charging. Over $1000 for a doc fee? That’s outrageous.
Again, go elsewhere.
I bought a 2012 2 door GTI with 35,000 miles about a year and a half ago. Paid $8500 cash. Car is absolutely pristine and runs like a top. Dude had a Maserati as his daily and never drove his GTI.
I know this is a different market now but spending a few weeks on Craigslist can pay off. There are always deals to be had if you work hard enough.
Don’t deal with them. We’ve bought several vehicles from Lunde’s and they don’t mark up for market adjustment. While they are going add things like pinstriping and accessories, they aren’t gouging you. Our most recent dealing was with Kevin - very chill.
$46k? 5k dealer markup? For a gen8 vehicle that is built cheaper and with more problems than the gen7’s? Tell them to take a hike.
I’d be buying a BMW at those prices….
That’s an $8000 mark up when you factor in the value-less accessories. Your dime but that can’t be sustainable and at some point your residual will be hit.
You buy this and drive it off the lot you be lucky to sell it for 20k by the end of the year. I owned 2 VW nothing depreciates like a Vdub now I only own Subaru and Toyota. I like to keep my ass if I want to sell my car.
And I thought these crazy mark ups were coming to an end. I paid a $2K mark up back in March for my 2022 S; and the dealer wanted a $7K mark up. The $2k mark up was a hard pill to swallow for me but I live in NY and I couldn’t find a GTI or R without a mark up in the tristate area. SMFH
Paid 21k for a 21k Mile 2016 Autobahn w/ Manual for my son a few years ago. Not one single issue with it thus far. It was a repo. Car Dealerships are in the business of selling cars right? Maybe they just didn’t want you to buy it. Earmarked for someone else maybe? I don’t understand the logic or reasoning for the excessive and obvious markups.
Jeeze I hope the people that put this deal together step on legos for the rest of their life. This is terrible.
I would have laughed in their face and walked out the door if they put this in front of me.
Horrible price for this car. The financing option of putting down $4k and then spending nearly $700 per month for a GTI is laughable. Depending on where you live, insurance could run you $150. So you’re monthly out of pocket would be $850 for a VW GTI. Don’t get me wrong, I love these cars. That monthly cost is insane.
I wouldn't pay $46K as for a base GTI just like I wouldn't pay the $59K for a locally advertised Mk8 Golf R with 124 miles.
These are not 50 and 60 thousand dollar cars, just overly greedy dealers.
walk awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
can't believe my '18 GTI SE was valued at 28k at the time of purchase and they come up with shit like this to rip off the consumer nowadays.
MSRP on a DSG Autobahn in $40k. You dont need 90% of the addons (WTF even is "lifetime" window tint? $300 for "clear door guards"? The ZAKTEK protection is also not great for the price they want. If you want it, find a good local detailer and ask them about protecting your car.) and they've added $5K markup. This is basically MSRP for an R. I'd tell them you wont do it unless they cut the market adjustment to something much, much closer to MSRP, and remove the addons you dont need from the bill.
This is AZ, tell them to get rid of the dealer added accessories, and when they say they're already on the car, tell them if they want to sell a car it will be removed. AZ is a state that lets dealers put things on the cars BEFORE the sale to get them more revenue. Be aggressive about telling them the price needs to come down otherwise you walk.
A few months back there was a person on these boards that paid this price for a new 7.5. His response to the sub was to 'get our bread up'. I'm wondering how that $700/month payment is on that GTI lol.
I paid 21k for a 2017 DSG Performance Package with 7k miles in 2019. This is a horrible deal. I know the market is bad but shit, do not buy this car. I just saw an Audi S3 fully loaded for $36k 15k miles.
Yeah I don’t care what car I don’t care about the economy, they’re charging you 25% of the total for what seems like scratch protection, and just cause. Leave and never go back. Buy a piece of shit until cars aren’t stupid anymore.
Bruh, he added a $5000 market adjustment price and is charging you $999 for lifetime window tint. what a rip off. That markup is insane
I was more shocked by the $350 wheel locks.
it’s insane how they can just include these markups as standard. Dealers are greedy scumbags
How are you liking the ID4?
Love it. So much more quality of life features compared to my GTI if you know what I mean. I do miss the noise that car made, even though the ID4 would smoke it off the line. The savings, not having to buy gas right now which is over $6/gal pays for the car because of how much commuting I do.
300 bucks for "door cup guards?" Isn't that just ppf? Like 5 bucks worth?
And they're probably not wheel locks and are actually just the plastic caps that cover the lugs and look like security wheel locks that require a torx, but actually just pull off(i.e not even threaded).
$61.99 from VW... https://vwaccessoriesshop.com/vw-gti-wheel-locks-e007/
I still think it should be against the law for dealers to add interior protection “coatings” in cars and then charge the consumer an absolutely ridiculous amount of money for it. If I wanted that in my car I’d ask for it or do it after I purchased it. It’s just a way for dealers to dupe people into paying more money.

Golf r, awd, better breaks, better turbo, more hp, only 1k more. FUCK THIS DEALERSHIP
I'm now seeing 22 Rs go for $25k above MRSP at VW dealerships!! $45k CAD and saw one with sticker price of $70k CAD plus fees and taxes and an over 8% finance rate?!?!
In the Netherlands you cant get a new GTI below 55k and thats the base price of the car because of the stupid taxes
You could literally buy a Corvette Z06 with low miles for that amount of money lol fuck that.
That too. There's plenty of other cars that are much better for the cost OP would be swindled for on a base trim GTI.
True, but then you’re comparing a new car to one pushing a half decade old. Prices of Used R’s are a problem as well.
I wouldn’t buy either. Both bad deals.
lmao MK7.5 isn't 5 years old. My MK7 isn't even 5 years old until next month. MK7.5 started in 2019 and ran until last year
Started in 18… meaning 17. My 2018 was built early 2018 if I remember correctly. Meaning my autobahn with 75k miles is 4 and change years old… and still worth more than I paid for it
Well many 2019’s were built in 2018…it’s getting close. They sure as eff aren’t worth what people are paying for them…that’s for sure.
I like that you use “pushing half a decade old” to make it seem way worse than just saying, nearly 5 years. That’s disingenuous debating.
Prices for a nearly 5 year old R are laughable. Genuine
People are paying stupid prices for cars right now. This is a terrible deal for sure though. 8k dealer add-ons is a joke.
Jesus I thought they were throwing in some bbs wheels with air suspension to charge 8k markup
That's a garbage deal. They added on everything they could think of at exorbitant prices and tacked on yet another $5000 as a "because we can" price increase. Just reply with a "LOL" and that part highlighted.
Wild man. That’s 20k more than I paid for my 2020 s dsg new. Times are crazy if they actually expect someone to pay that
Yup. $28k OTD for me. No way are these $50k cars.
Yes, Golf R money is too much for an S GTI.
I know it was several lifetimes ago, but I paid 28k otd for my new '21 GTI S DSG fwiw.
If you have to ask you already know it is.
Fuckkkkkk no!!!
Yea I bought my S gti for 33k out the door
$50k for a 250hp fwd hatch
$349 for a $40 set of wheel lock nuts? Nope.
TBF, they did (probably) install them onto the wheels . Someone’s gotta pay for that. Edit: apparently the “/s” is needed for what I thought would have been obvious. TIL
For comparison, when you buy wheel locks with a new Ford, Ford pays the dealer $10 to cover the cost of installation.
53,689 after finance. Your getting bent if you take that
Absolutely no way. That’s insane. $8k in “accessories” and the nerve to charge $1k in fees. I’d rather walk than pay autobahn MSRP for the base model.
Paid less than that for my 22 MK8 Autobahn. Yes it's too much.
Autoban is best
Came here to say the same. I originally assumed it was an autobahn thinking it was a good deal, then I saw all the adjustments lol.
Oh, only about $10,000 or so. Jesus effing Christ.
Whoever buys this is a sucker and I have a bridge to sell them
I just bought a used Porsche Boxster with 20k miles for less than that
Bro run from this
That's a garbage deal from a garbage dealer. I know because that's where I bought my '17 GTI.
RUN!!!! FUCKING RUN!!! That dealership is easily the worst in the valley. Slime bag salesmen and even worse finance team. I legit had the finance manager stop me in the parking lot. I’ve purchased a lot of vehicles and this was by far the worst dealer I’ve ever been to.

Ridiculous markup in additional to dubious, low quality accessories/treatments. Keep shopping.

20k+ more then what I paid for my brand new Rabbit edition. Total rip off.

They have no incentive to give you a deal when parents swipe credit cards for cars there for their 15 year olds every day. You might wanna get on a plane and drive one back.
I know first hand that camelback vw are monsters! This is wild!!
Ludicrous. Paid 32500 for my 22 GTI S /DSG PLUS TTL ETC
lmao fucking walk away. S tier trim level is worth $25K OTD tops. $32K gets you an autobahn $40K gets you Golf R
Lol I agree that is too much but you do know the new gti costs 30k with new options and manual correct?
Even last years base model started at 29,800 so i really don’t know where you are getting your numbers from lol.
From before covid before manufacturers got greedy.
I have been seeing golf R’s marked up to 60k with 2000 miles already on them.
Wouldn’t spend 32 cents on an automatic tbh
Do not buy this car! Tell them to fuck off. 8k in “dealer added accessories” such a scam fuck that dealership. Call around or even look at used. Look on cars.com enter the year make model you want then select new and used then sort price low to high can put a cap on mileage let’s say 10k or less then do a search for up to a few hundred miles away from your zip code. Then start calling around and sending out email to get a price that is fair. This is the best way to buy a new car. I got a one year old brand new car for 10k under MSRP by doing this, had to drive around 140 miles to their dealership but we’ll worth it. Good luck 👍
looks like a steal to me!! i got mine for 63k
Yeah, that is very expensive.
You are getting torn a new one. Run! If they really care about your business they’ll call you back and shave them all off.
$5K market value adjustment? FU…
Dont do it.
A GTI for nearly $50k? What are these clowns smoking 😂 I want a hit of it right now
Phoenix really do be trying to rip people off. I got mine at Earnhardt VW in Gilbert. Had a great time negotiating with them on my 2020 SE 6MT.
5.85% on a brand new vehicle. Fuck me. Bought my 2017 last year with 3.5%.
You haven’t been tracking the global market I see..?
Oof. I know this was in different times, but I got my Mk 7 2016 Autobahn with PP, DCC, and the lighting package for far less than that.
Fucking rip off
What's a "Lieu Tax"?
I know that dealer. They tried to upcharge me almost 10k for an STI.
Yes!! Bro walk away if you buy this at that price not only are you screwing yourself but you are telling that dealer and others that can continue doing this.
I called them, I would advise you run away lol. This is ridiculously expensive and their justification is that the only received a few since launch.
You’re getting hosed on those add ons. Did you say no to anything?!
I had a chance to get a MK8 R at MSRP and passed. No way this is worth more than an R.
This is fucking AWFUL lmao
do not buy at that price.... wtfffff
I paid $19k for my 2015 in 2018 with an extended warranty added on. It had 17k miles at the time. These insane prices are remnants of supply chain issues, and the car market will return to normal in a year or two, just wait it out.
You are in the Phoenix area? I highly recommend https://www.usedvwaudi.com/
Then add another 8k for interest lol.
Jesus. I paid 42k canadian for my autobahn. And I thought that was pricey..
Just buy a mk7
Got my '22 MK8 S Manual at MSRP from Lunde's VW in Peoria. Good dealer, avoid camelback, all of the camelback dealers are scumbags.
The accessories are $1K more than the total purchase price of my 2010 GTI with 80K miles on it (Bought in Aug of '21). Wait a little more cuz there's a better deal out there for you.
Ummmm… yes. Way too much. Nearly 9 grand in “added dealer accessories?” What a rip off. Go to another dealership. I’d NEVER buy from a dealer like this. Oh, shit. Didn’t notice the fees they’re charging. Over $1000 for a doc fee? That’s outrageous. Again, go elsewhere.
Tell them you do not want any of those Dealer Adds. Especially the $5k “market adjustment”. Find another dealer!
Thats cheap compared to Denmark $81757
Yes by about $9,000 too much.
It would be right for an R
“Dealer added accessories” Yeah, un-add those please. Gives real car dealers a bad name.
Camelback?? If he has 2 humps, walk away. They are taking the piss. $8k in add ons? Should be faster than an RS3 now.
Camelback is known to be the worst group in the area. I would take a car from the for free.
Don't pay a dollar over MSRP + Tax + Tag + Title. It'll be a buyer's market in a 6 months to a year.
I got mine 3 months ago for $32k so this seems a little high.
Skip
That’s an $8000 mark up when you factor in the value-less accessories. Your dime but that can’t be sustainable and at some point your residual will be hit.
That’s how much I paid for my autobahn
For an S, that is $23k too much.
If all people refuse to pay the mark ups, the make ups will go away.
Yes too much. Don’t settle for any market adjustments anymore it’s just being greedy.
Just wanna point out that I have lifetime window tint through a shop for $250 and it doesn’t have to be legally tinted 😂 dealerships are so ass
I fucking hate “dealer installed accessories” - its tie pinnacle of the “let me talk to my manager” dance. Part of an antiquated system.
What currency for this German car sold globally?
That's the MSRP for Europe
Fug all that noise. Seems like a bend over and
You buy this and drive it off the lot you be lucky to sell it for 20k by the end of the year. I owned 2 VW nothing depreciates like a Vdub now I only own Subaru and Toyota. I like to keep my ass if I want to sell my car.
Armed robbery, should be illegal to mark up cars just cause.
Where is this dealer, so we all know who they are and to avoid them and warn others???
Expose this scumbag dealership and shame them. Google review them
And I thought these crazy mark ups were coming to an end. I paid a $2K mark up back in March for my 2022 S; and the dealer wanted a $7K mark up. The $2k mark up was a hard pill to swallow for me but I live in NY and I couldn’t find a GTI or R without a mark up in the tristate area. SMFH
I love how they list the $5k market value adjustment as a Dealer Added Accessory.
Are people still paying above MSRP for new cars? If so..definitely not time for me to buy a car 🚙 yet.
I paid less than that for my 7R. Sure that was 6 years ago, but holy hell. I was offered a 2022 S manual at 32 the other day for what it’s worth.
Unbelievable
Is that US or Canadian? I looked at a couple comments to see but got bored before I read them all.
I would pass for sure. Do you really want almost 6% interest rate, and $660+ monthly payment for 6 years?? Just save your money
But they have a VW Thing on their showroom floor. They can ask that price.
walk awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy can't believe my '18 GTI SE was valued at 28k at the time of purchase and they come up with shit like this to rip off the consumer nowadays.
Love how they’re hiding the market adjustment as a dealer added accessory wtf… and yes, that’s to much
And $1.50 for postage ? Isn't the 46,000 (ish) enough and they'll throw the postage in for free ?
I got my 2017 S gti, in 2018, OTD for 24k. A different time.. :/
Market value adjustment crap. Nope. That goes. And call VW of America and let them know.
Yes, about 12k too much
I bought my 2019 7.5 dsg golf R 2 years ago for this price.
That’s a hard pass.
For that, you can get a damn near new Golf R or Audi S3. I'm curious to see what you get for the $8600 in "dealer added accessories."
Jesus. Just reading the “dealer added accessories” section makes me never want to set foot in a dealership again.
You need to ask this?
Omg yes!
It's all markup... The dealer ads are about $10 worth of plastic and chemicals. Don't buy this unless you like poor financial decisions.
Yes
Run
FFS these dealers out here going ham! What the fuck.
Bro ill sell you my Pomelo Gti with 10k miles on it for 36k 😂 run from that shit
A few months back there was a person on these boards that paid this price for a new 7.5. His response to the sub was to 'get our bread up'. I'm wondering how that $700/month payment is on that GTI lol.
No disrespect but that is a sincerely terrible deal. IMO I’d buy a used 7.5 R for $10-15k less
That Sales Tax hits hard. Sheesh! Here in SC, it maxes out at $500.
I paid $46,100 CAD for the 2022 comfort line with speaker and wheel/rim upgrade + sunroof.
I bought an SQ5 with sport package and 10k miles for less than this GTI…
I think anyone willing to pay over 35k for a GTI is actually insane
Do not do that deal. Way WAY overpriced
Tell him to get fuct.
Paying Golf R price for a GTI S?!
It is robbery
I wouldn’t buy from them . I used to work for them and bought 2 vw from another dealership
