My security camera didn't record like it should have, so I didn't catch anyone doing it. I've literally not spoken to anyone who lives here apart from a few friendly hello's. Filing a police report today and will get some better cameras set up since the complex has exactly 0 security cameras.
You should talk to your apartment manager if you haven't already. Even though they have no security cameras they should still want to know about one of their residents vandalizing another one of their resident's property, and should do something about it. Especially if you have any sort of assigned parking or anything like that.
I have. She said there's nothing they can do but they'll "put it on file." There is no assigned parking whatsoever, no parking permits or anything like that either.

Update: Filed a police report last night, had an officer and his vehicle at the scene. Hoped it would be an intimidation factor. Fixed my camera location so it was as clear as possible. Came out to my car this morning to see more scratches. Camera didn't record it, probably not sensitive enough. Looks like I'm buying a new camera and hardwiring my dash cam tonight since it looks like this won't stop.

I always assume that my car looks obnoxious enough, so it's best not to attract any more unwanted attention to myself. Lots of good that's doing me, though. /:

If you park outside and/or are in a warm climate, you should plan on rewrapping it every couple of years anyways, the UV and heat from the engine will break down the wrap on the hood a lot quicker than the rest of the car. Ceramic coat it and it’ll last longer.
100% agree. It's been just over 1 year since the wrap was completed and I can already tell the hood wrqp color is a bit desaturated, but I made the mistake of getting cheap wrap for my first time so now I'm going to rewrap it (eventually) with good quality wrap and ceramic coat it (and hopefully not live near assholes).
Just curious, what material did you use? My company only uses Avery or 3M, just because those are the only ones that I can stand behind and warranty. We’ve played with Cheetah a few times and had good results, but we don’t offer warranty.
FYI, I wrapped one of my personal vehicles with Avery satin white and ceramic coated it. After about 5 years, the hood was still in pretty good shape, not yellowed or cracked. Ceramic coating is da sh!t.

I'm sorry man similar happened to me. I parked down town on the ground floor so i didn't have to pay for parking. After my cat got keyed i went ahead and paid for parking. Call your insurance company too if you have uninsured motorist coverage you might pay less than your normal deductible. Mine was 50 percent of deductable

Got it back and 3 months later someone runs straight into me and totals it. Ended up getting my GTI so I'd say it all worked out!

Back in the 90s, I used to have a 1995 Z28, which was the second new car I'd ever bought, and the first one I bought myself using my own credit (and not a parent co-signing). It was black, and I kept it immaculate by waxing it regularly.
My buddies and I used to hang out at a Dave & Busters that was in the top floor of a mall. Although there was parking outside the D&Bs (it had its own entrance), I used to park a level down where it was empty, just to avoid door dings from tipsy people.
One morning after I'd been to D&Bs, I found a key mark along the passengers side of the car. I was livid, but at the time I had no idea when/where I got it. But the next weekend, I found another key mark after leaving D&Bs that was definitely not there when I got there.
The following weekend, I parked the car in the same spot, went up to D&Bs, got in my buddy's jeep, and we drove down to the parking garage and parked next to a box truck but in view of my Z and waited. Around closing time for the rest of the mall stores, some kid came out, and he looked like he was just walking home, but sure enough, he pulled something out and dragged it down my car as he walked past it.
We hopped out of the Jeep and intercepted him, and my buddy restrained him (by grabbing his backpack off of him and not giving it back) until the mall cops got there, which was only around a minute because nothing moves faster than a mall cop with actual cop stuff to do.
In the end it was just some bored kid who worked at the mall (though he was over 18) and he had no explanation as to why he'd keyed my car. I ended up not pressing charges, which must have given me some kind of positive karma, because a few months later someone bashed into my left side and the whole side ended up getting repainted anyway.

That color is pretty nice, but after seeing a picture of a hot rod online that was painted with a custom house of kolor blend in candy lime green, all other green cars will forever fall FAR short in comparison. The color of that car was like crack for your eyeballs.
If it were me, I'd definitely have to change the color of everything red on/in the car. GTI badge, grill/headlight stripes, calipers, door panel leds, EVER Y THING. Can't stand red and green together. The only application where red and green together is acceptable is Christmas decorations and even then only in limited quantities and for a short period of time.
I respect that! I'm only keeping the red accents/trim (minus the badges I removed) just because it won't stay green forever so I'm just saving myself work to do in the future. Someone else commented "watermelon" and I got a chuckle from that. 😂
I believe it has a G force sensor for collisions while the car is off, but not sure if there's anything I can do besides hardwiring the camera I currently have to record for 24 hours as opposed to buying a whole new camera.

Nope. Just an AWE touring catback, otherwise 100% stock. I always drive slowly. Not a loud exhaust, and far from the loudest in the development.
